About to throw down $20K and need some advice

In my opinion it good to buy more bitcoin
the risk is lower than holding other coin because bitcoin might rise more in the next few months because of halving
ETH also have some potential for price rise because it drop a lot before there a possibility that it will recover, but the risk is still high
to be more safe its better to put it all in bitcoin then just buy other altcoin if you heard some good news about the altcoin
but still you need to know that every investment have risk so just invest what you can afford to lose

Since you've said you have been buying Bitcoin from the past so I think you already know the risk you are taking,
Then you already made your research about this crypto's that you mention .
But I would like to suggest buying DASH instead of XRP,
Or you could just go with BTC,ETH,Dash and LTC.

Why? LTC is nothing more than a worse form of BTC. BTC influences LTC and LTC rarely does anything without BTC. I lost interest in LTC since Charlie sold his coins.
As a bitcoin maximalist I'll tell you to go with it. Don't buy altcoins, it's not worth it unless you're buying into a new projects and hope it will go up 100x. In such case you put in $100 or something and get yourself a nice flat TV or a new computer if it doesn't end up being a scam. If it does you just lose $100. Put the rest in BTC.

You seem to know more about what you will do with the capital you have prepared and will be invested anywhere. I feel that what you are doing is something that is very correct and right, there might be a little suggestion, to add a little bit of altcoin that also grows well.

If you can afford to lose the 20,000... why not — *dont invest what you can't afford to lose*. 

I would recommend day trading with that amount of money.
Keep part of it in a decentralized stablecoin, away from Centralized exchange you are trading on, to avoid future hacks. You can then use it to buy important dips and withdraw profits back to the stablecoin when the price goes up again. If price continues to fall then keep buying the important dips. Just repeat this several times and watch your profit grow.

you are right .... buying btc and eth is the most efficient thing but remember ... !!!! be careful at current market prices because this is still too early for the bull market and if the market is now experiencing a correction there will be a decline that will make you regret your actions so be wise in looking for market profit

My first advise would be not to take any financial suggestions from random people in the internet. Yeah, the suggestions does help a lot but do not follow them blindly. Do your own research after everything and think twice before pouring down your investment on anything.
I would recommend you to keep more than 50% of your total investment on bitcoin to be on the safe side. I personally do not like XRP so I would suggest you to invest on some other well known coins other than XRP.

The market seems to be coming back to those levels once more because it shot up to fast in a short amount of time. Which always makes people in the cryptomarket wary about what it will do next after such a spike up in price.
Lowering by $1000 of the price within a 24 hour period is nothing to just wave off as just volatility.
Just be glad you didnt buy at $8250+ a day ago or you would be at a loss like when people people bought at $10k+.

A good portfolio of any pro trader is what you have constructed. Never put all your eggs in one basket as the popular adage goes, diversifying your funds into these bluechip cryptocurrencies is ok, they are good for trading and have enough volume for liquidity in case you want to cash out anytime.

I suggest you go full throttle on the alts rather than bitcoin since bitcoin's price is just so unstable. Many traders are into alts more since even if bitcoin's price is down, they can literally make greater profits with alts. But its all up to you to decide.

I'm mostly all in for bitcoin too but if he just want to diversify, I chose LTC because of its latest performance. It has increased with 200% just for the 2 quarters so I think it's considerable a good choice.

Charlie Lee may have sold everything he had but it's still going on. I'm also disappointed with his move but I keep on noticing LTC's gain.

Try include some of the best coin that in the crypto, that you haven’t found it, you don’t think binance is good? When OP heard what mindrust's comment I guess he will eschew from a huge losses. Although the price bitcoin has been increasing again but it has been giving a panic for you. Here's the point of a forum people who intend to invest can ask some suggestions form old member here who has a ton of experiences in investing on cryptocurrencies.

However, you has had a choices place for investing in cryptocurrency and I just curious why you choose those coins? did you find some interesting information that will happened to those coins? Indeed, before choose an investing we have to find and research what coin we will choose, if the coin has potential to its price high then we deserve to buy it. I have heard some information about Tron, and some predictors says Tron will have 3$ in the next year because till now its developer keep trying to make cooperation with other companies and they try to update their system so as Tron can be use by many people.

first of all because this is not a question you should be asking. you should always be able to make financial decisions on your own. and if you can't do that in a market and can not analyze the situation then entering that market will only end badly for you because there are many different scenarios that keep on happening and you need to know what to do in each case.

secondly your choice is a bad one in my experience. you are planning to hold altcoins that are guaranteed to drop in value. for example ETH has unlimited supply and has been losing its only usage (ICO creation) and because of that it will lose value in the long run. other coins like XRP are just considered pure shitcons.

and finally you are trying to enter with a very large amount as your first move! the fact that you have been buying bitcoin doesn't make you experienced enough to enter the altcoin market with this size of money considering that 99% of altcoins are complete manipulation with no usage or future not to mention the centralization of many of them that is their point of failure.

I think you might feel a bit more confused after you have read all the replies in this thread, because a lot of people would give advice based on their own investment and not what is actually the best Alt coin to invest in. Imagine a scenario where you are already heavily invested in say, Stellar and someone posts something like this. It would be a normal reaction to tell this person to invest in Stellar too, because you want your investment to increase with more people buying the coin that you are invested in. 

Most people are biased when it comes to Crypto investment advice, because they are also invested in the coins that they are giving advice on.

For the current time i have no doubt most of altcoins which your mentioned above as your portfolio are good or even possibly Eth, LTC or might be Stellar will facing upcoming uptrend following to bitcoin price which currently rise up but for next 5 years i think there is no people who can ensure these portfolio still good or bad because i'm sure on 2024 unless bitcoin one or two from those altcoins would be worthless and it will change your investment value

Like I always advise my friends who are new to bitcoin and cryptocurrencies investment, always do your own research. Do you feel the project have what it takes to succeed. Have you done your technical analysis? Your choices are great but look at the performance of other projects with real use case and make comparisons. Good luck.
