I think most of us agree with you, but human psychology is more inclined to money. So, the main thing is profit and and it does not matter which coin it is, afterwards we pay attention to the others.

I like Nem over xrp becaus i found this is the best coin even it’s again smart contract creation platform it has done some agreement in Middle East in past . Now it’s pumping as it’s potential . Why can’t people choos nem over xrp . Atleast we can support decentrelised over centralised coin.

Although I have not heard of NEM before which I will check out, because I know everyone wants to shill their coins to public not because they really believe in it but because of their investment in it, but I will never invest in any projects based on opinion till I research over it,

The reason why I would also want to research on this project is to see if I will pick interest, I am ready to support any good project that will really displace XRP off the position they have been claiming for a while now, which I feel they don’t deserve, only see them using their centralized power to get there, and not because of their merit.

NEM coin has the more appreciation in the price in this medium term bull while other altcoins are a steady move. It is speculated by the crypto analyst that NEM coin will go above $1 in this year if the Bitcoin take rally towards the $10,000.

I'm sure most investors now doesn't care about centralized coins like XRP. Everyone is here to make money. So I guess people will go to where the money is right now, BTC,ETH, XRP. But I'm glad to see NEM is being pump, but it's very obvious that it's not organic though. So just be careful not to invest on top, otherwise you will be trap, just saying.

Yes you are very correct, people are no longer focused on the blockchain and what the technology has to offer anymore, but they are focused on how they could make money for themselves in the crypto space and would buy any coin they see as long as they where told that the price is going to increase within a short period of time, well this is very bad but I don't think it can be changed now because the mindset of the newbies coming into the crypto space has been corrupted by making them just focus on the price and not the value.

All the investors are accept the NEM bull run in last month and this month, so all are waiting for the continuous improvement at the same time ripple is not a efficient crypto currency and this make profit or loss at anytime. Because XRP was against the Bitcoin so I don't like this concept and it will never satisfy in future.

There are many decentralized coins besides NEM, so why should it pump now? Are there any significant developments or releases?
There is no fight NEM vs XRP. Both currencies are two out of many so the question is why would you choose one of the two over any other coin?

Lol, the debate over who is best, chose me, and let's forget about the other, etc don't work anymore buddy! We all are in this ecosystem for reasons best known to us and hence you shouldn't be surprised at people's decision. NEM should build their platform and then the users will naturally troop in!!

In short, yes, early this year they announced a restructure due to financial difficulties - caused at least in part by falling crypto prices during 2018. Prices dropped as a result.
Last week they announced details of the Catapult upgrade, which saw prices surge - but maybe part of the surge was Catapult, and part was a delayed price rise due to the whole market rising whilst NEM was in difficulties.

I think they have been pretty transparent about the difficulties, which is a good sign. I still think it's a strong project.

NEM is very close to the goal in terms of decentralisation. Decentralised exchanges will be a future of the blockchain technology and big companies will take advantage of the blockchain based logistics soon. I prefer to pay with my anonymous currency on the shopping and I believe one day it will be possible.

The current market conditions start to improve, but some people have not had the ability to sell in crypto. There are lots of newcomers, who are only one transaction to sell the bounty coins. After selling already they do not buy anymore in the market. Not only NEM however for all digital money in cryptocurrency.

as with it's long history comes a large userbase

Probably because the smart folks don't pay attention to pump and dump coins? 40% surge without any type of catalyst is a big red flag. I thought the partnership with the Zeux app[1] was what triggered the pump, but this app isn't even that famous so I doubt such news could trigger such a massive spike in the price.

But as always, whenever I coin goes up massively in price, I recommend people to not fomo buy the coin as it's very likely the uptrend will stop and the early adopters will most likely dump on the newcomers.

This is not a pump I guess it just recovers from being dump. Check this thread  From 1500 sats goes down to 800 sats.  Now it recover back to 1k plus satoshi because of the good news about adoption.

There is no fight NEM vs XRP. Both currencies are two out of many so the question is why would you choose one of the two over any other coin?

As I said I choose Nem over Xrp because of its decentrelised nature. Xrp is having huge supply and more than 80% pre mimed coin even its centralised . I think this closed system taking money from crypto space each investment for xrp is taking away money from crypto space . So by supporting nem we will be following true purpose of blockchain.

Note : I am not the holder of Nem or neither I am not having any intention to promote nem . But as a crypto currency true lover who actually loves the purpose of blockchain technology and its decentrelised nature I am supporting Nem.

Huh? Bitcoin surged more than 40% and nobody knows what the so-called catalyst for this was. Besides cryptocurrencies are known for unexplainable rallies and crashes. This is a bad trader habit to assign news to price action.

If you compare these currencies only, I would definitely support you.
However, even if we do not touch Ripple, I would say that NEM can become one of the best tokens (I mean market cap) in 2-3 years. American crypto experts even said that it could be expected that NEM will take the third place and make Ripple go down. Probably, it is worth to listen to the point of view of crypto specialists.

When the project keeps on improving and still finding ways to develop and offers their platform to benefit more their user indicates that we'd been investing in a good coin. Now that the market recovers and bitcoin increasing, NEM is doing good too in developing that may leads more investor and user in the near future.
