I've heard people saying that Bitcoin mining is no longer profitable in 2019... but the value of each Bitcoin has risen though, right? I have a gtx 1080, two 1070, and plan to use a 1250w PSU. Will I be able to make some revenues?
I am completely a newbie...

You got your information wrong. Half truths.
Bitcoin mining is profitable in every year there is, 2019 also but you need professional approach, big investment, cheap electricity etc.
No you won't make any money with your graphic cards in Bitcoin, maybe in some alt-coin but this is not worth your time by me.

Unless you're going to use ASIC miners, then I don't think you're going to make any profit. Probably unless you're using 100% free electricity. With GPUs, if your main goal is to make profit, then mining certain alts is the way to go. You're going to need to do some research though.

This tool might help you: https://www.coinwarz.com/calculators

And how much will I be making?
Mostly, because of lower mining difficulty(compared to bitcoin at least). It completely depends on the coin.

And how much will I be making?
Completely depends on what you're going to mine. Also, check the link I just recently told you to check.

Why is alt more profitable? And how much will I be making?

I suggest you check the altcoin mining section from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0

You can mostly see all GPU mining and they are only mining altcoin.

You can also check these tools which altcoin is profitable to mine with your GPU.

But if you decided to make more profit check this link https://www.asicminervalue.com/

Thanks for the help. I want higher hash rate and lower w, right? So is CNHeavy/CNFast/NeoScrypt the most profitable coin to mine right now, according to whattomine.com?
Whattomine only base the result to the coin's total hashrate and market price at the time of your visit, but it's pretty much accurate.
Bitcoin is out of option for GPU mining and if your eagerness to mine using those GPU is because of the seemingly Bull Run, the bad news is it's the complete opposite for Altcoins.

I suggest you to go to Mining (Altcoins) to find the proper mining software to use for you picked algorithm and also visit its childboard Pools (Altcoin) for your selected pool.

Thanks for the help. Bitcoin RM/zhash was calculated to profit the most. What tools should I use to mine this alt?
The most newbie-proof miner I can suggest you is: SimpleMining, it's almost plug and play and supports most algorithms.

Mining altcoins with those GPU your will make $0.20-$0.40 each. It will cost you more to run then you will make. Also 1250w is overkill you only need 1000 for a 6 GPU rig.
It's crazy to think a year ago you could make 10-12x what you make now mining eth. It doesn't make sense to me. I wonder who is even mining.Only people with almost free electricity and mass GPU asic units with a large investment. This isn't really what was envisioned when crypto was created. Everyone was supposed to be able to mine. Now even with powerful GPU units you still can't make a profit.

Better mine a new altcoin as soon as it comes out and hope the coin lifts off in value.

6 card rig, 1000 watts :O  must be little guys, 580's or something haha
no wonder you think theres no profit in GPU mining
what 2$ a day with that after power?

you need to know what your doing, im still making profit 4 years later GPU mining
just host your rigs, and tune your shit

Your best friend is http://whattomine.com/

You can estimate your earnings, but there will be differences each day

I suggest you to research first because you have to consider the difficulty of the coin you are mining, the future of the coin you choose, yous costs etc

According to your thread, you question is related to profitable mining with GPU so there is no chanse you'll get any profit with bitcoin mining, that's simply impossible on GPUs, there are asics in game for years. But altcoins are open gates for you, even some altcoins which were thought to be asic resistance, failed and GPU mineable coins turn into asic minables where asics had high hashrates and left GPUs in shadow. Personally I wouldn't mine with GPU as for now.
For check of profitability, there were some websites suggested, also check whattomine.com

Mining is always profitable as long as you don't have electricity costs  Grin
So, the first thing you need to check is your electricity costs
Secondly, GPU mining is still profitable and with these you can mine almost anything, you just need a good mining strategy. With 3 GPUs your hashrate will not be high, you need to choose your coins wisely... and especially choose the right time to sell.
Some people dedicate themselves in scaring away potential miners as these will rise difficulties...  Wink

You get quite decent rigs there, but if you compete with other people who has ASIC or hundred of GPUs you won't win. So I suggest to mine smart, find a new coin that you think has potential, take Veil for instance, with those GPUs you still can get profit because the hashrate is still relative small compare to Bitcoin.

Depends on what algo you have them on, how well you have them tuned, difficulty/net hash, etc.

That said, assuming you are on ethash 24/7 w/ ethlargement pill @ ~ 100 MH/s, gross would be ~ .21 ether a month (at least, as of today.  It'll vary).

Yes, it's simple, you just have to put yous GPUs and the price you pay in electricity
But later you will discover that you have to consider difficulty of the coin in the equation and Whattomine only consider the watts of GPU alone, you have to power your motherboard, CPU, Ram, SSD etc, so it's a very good place to start, but later you have to discover by yourself how much you will spend to maintain your rig and how much coins you will earn, considering the diff

Why is alt more profitable? And how much will I be making?

Simple answer to your question is here Wink
Original topic i quoted from is  HERE

I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY NEWBIES KEEP ASKING THE SAME QUESTION " ITS TO LATE TO START MINING , IT IS STILL PROFITABLE ? WHY MY EARNING IS LESS THAN ALL THOSE ONLINE CALCULATORS TELLING ME? WHAT IS THE BEST COIN TO MINE ? WHAT IS THE MOST PROFITABLE COIN TO MINE"

No one can tell you !
Always going to be a 2 group of ppl who telling you it's ok go for it , or dont bc you just wasting ur money and time !
You have to make a decision for yourself !
Do your own research !
No one can tell you for sure what's going to happen with cryptocurrency !
No one can tell you it's going to be profitable for you or not !
No one can tell you how much profit you going to be able to make ! ( if you can make any at all )
No one can tell you the ROI ( return of investment) time !
No one can tell you what is the best coin to mine !
No one can tell you what is the most profitable coin to mine! Coins profitability always changing, what is best to mine today, maybe going to be the worst to mine tomorrow !
None of those calculators you are seeing on the web can tell you what's coming tomorrow , months later or 6 months later !
Those calculators telling you about today , at that moment when you typing in your information !
None of those online calculators calculating pool luck !
None of those online calculators calculating your stale/rejected or invalid shares !
None of those online calculators able to predict difficulty growth !
None of those online calculators can predict what would be the coin/$ exchanges rates a minutes later, a hour later,  tomorrow, next week,  months later, 6 months later or a year later !
It's little bit of gambling , you must to decide you want to play on the lottery or not  Grin
YES some of us got lucky , made some money with mining
YES some of us got unlucky , lost some money , bc when price started to fall , sold they coins , miners...

If your focus is on mining bitcoin - then you can't mine it directly with GPU. Or if you could, it wouldn't be profitable - it would be like mining for gold with a spoon in a city.

If you just want Bitcoin, and are happy to mine it indirectly, you could use a program like Nicehash, which mines other coins then automatically exchanges them for Bitcoin. So you are kind of indirectly 'mining' Bitcoin.

Otherwise you can use a website like whattomine and choose a coin from there. To start off with (and given you have GTXs), you could try Ethereum or Ravencoin, as both are well established projects - particularly Ethereum which is second in coinmarketcap only to Bitcoin. In either of these cases, you could always go to a coin exchange later and swap it for Bitcoin.
