BTC-E exchange: Is there any way to claim my Bitcoins that were allegedly stolen from the exchange?

In late 2014 BTC-E told me my trading account got hacked and that all my Bitcoins had been lost. I did not really believe them and also they never tried to help me to settle the case. Instead their "customer relations" team became unresponsive. In the end they never really explained what happened or refunded any of the "stolen" funds.

Is there any way I can contact the current lawyers or agencies that are handling the case after Alexander Vinnik got arrested?

I. e. is there any way I can claim my "stolen" funds?

As far as I know, the entire user database of BTC-e was handed over to WEX - WEX was basically a re-brand of BTC-e:

Maybe get in touch with whoever is handling the WEX investigation?

Wex.nz also shut down all of a sudden and there is no activity. Even I'm wondering if any of the funds are recoverable !

I think after the "CEO" Alexander Vinnik was arrested he was put in custody somewhere but I'm not sure where.

Anyone knows where Alexander Vinnik is held at the moment?

Anyone knows the name of his lawyer?

Anyone knows who is handling this case now?

BTC-e is maybe back as VIVA-e

Recently there was a post here exposing the scam but it got removed, surprising user nutildah said this about VIVA-e being a clone of BTC-e

Quote
that doesn't necessarily mean the exchange is a scam

https://archive.md/C0XaV#selection-2423.0-2423.52

I warn everyone to be careful with the new scam VIVA-e and also be careful with nutildah for supporting the scam https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=317618
