Are you secretive about trading currency?

When people ask, What do you do for a living? I have a full time job, but I also trade crypto-currency.  I do not like telling them about my currency and Bitcoin activities because when I tell people about trading currency online our relationship sometimes changes. They start scheming or they think "I can do that, better than you" and I suspect they want to secretly start trading too.

Anyway, those things should give you equal, what you experience is just them, and that is called envy, it does not matter, when they ask me what I do, I say I dedicate myself to my profession and apart from being a trader, there is no need to explain the movements of bitcoin or in detail what you do, just say trader or speculator of the market I think that is enough.

It does not matter if they tell you that they are going to be better than you, that should make you happy, but there are people who start trading and the failure rate is very high, very few are successful, because trading means that you must have knowledge about the market, in the different ways that exist so that the movements can be given, many ways that there is to be able to invest and speculate in the market, do not worry about these affirmations, you just have to trust in what you know, in your own skills without caring about others, they will only try, you already do it.

Based on my own personality, I am very open to the call and I love to share my ideas with people, so I don’t get secretive about my cryptocurrency activities, if I tell you about what I am doing and you pick interest in it, fine, it is now left to you on how to go about doing the same thing. It could be with my assistance if I am being invited and it could be without my assistance.

The knowledge we have in this world ends with this world when we die, so I don’t carry things as if I am never going to leave it, I am proud of cryptocurrency trading and will always love to share the ideas with people at no cost. The market is too big for me to take all.

Bro it's really your choice because why would you even talk about it if none of your friends don't even know it in the first place? I know how this things go and for the most part when I always open up about what I do with cryptocurrencies they always act clueless about it. My advice is you always have to know who's your audience before even jumping in the topic about cryptocurrencies. It's the best solution for not explaining too long and get out if topic in your conversation with others.

I don't feel a competition climate when talking about trading with people around. I just think they become curious to know how it works, how difficult it is and how much profit it can generate. Actually, these are very common reactions.
When people tell us something we don't know, we tend to become curious about that and ask questions back, so it's fine when we are on the another side of the talking too.

 Not necessarily secretive the way OP feels, but a bit careful perhaps. When you start telling them what you are doing, oddly enough that you will end up answering endless questions. Some are out of curiosity while most are out of sarcasm. So to avoid these unseeming situation, I prefer not telling anyone especially those who cannot relate to it. But if I sense that they are really interested and open-minded, I share my knowledge about crypto trading with them.

I am. It's for my own security and it's for myself to grow. It's for my own security because have you heard about a guy beaten up because of having lots of bitcoin? That might happen to any of us whether we're whales or not. Be secretive. Not everything else should be posted online.

Moreover they will get jealous and also they will try to do the same thing if you are earning more and it might be a disturbed feel for us that is why most of the people don't let the other people to know about their successive activity.

Yeah its true that sometimes relationship being so complex due to this reason but if they want to start their trading secretly then i think you don't need to show your necessity for knowing his activity. let him to continue his trading by his own maybe one day he will knock you for tips or for having the easiest way of making money from trading.

My friends are not kinda like that because they respect me a lot for teaching or introducing them with crypto trading. We have a great thinking on our mind that "Together we are stronger" I hope after learning trading basics your friends and relatives will change their way of thinking and they will give you thanks for letting them now about trading.

I do really relate this kind of feeling when someone do ask me out on what i do for a living.I dont have a job but i do have some assets that other people can see and all
of them are gained by my Cryptocurrency investment/trading.So you wont really able to avoid those kind of question specially with your neighborhood and even with your relatives
which asking you out about on what you are doing.Im not a selfish person but i do hate up when someone tends to ask on teaching them on overall process this is why
i do basically tell them the other way around and saying more difficult scenarios which would make them possibly changed their minds.

   In my case people do not understand crypto at all, without a meaning of trading and other manipulation with cryptos.
   People around me used to earn money on classical ways so deeply that their minds and imaginations simply can't catch the idea of digital money and its perspectives.

I try my best to make my affiliation with crypto as private as possible(trading included), though it really depends to who I'm talking to. I don't wanna get my face hit by that $5 wrench, you know? I mostly say that I trade digital assets instead. Game currencies and such. People would likely think that I still act like a kid that still has heavy interest with online games, but whatever.

Kind of agree with you guy. We have our own right to tell or not tell to anyone around us about our supplement job, but if we want to share, we'd better choose to talk to a suitable person or else, just keep it as your secret. Absolutely, i bet you know who you should talk to and get away with one who you take for no necessity. If i talk to another about my crypto trading, then he mention to the line " I can do that, better than you"; definitely, i will ignore some arrogant people like that, and we should better not waste our time with people like that.

Thats ego and pride my friend. If i would ask what did i do for a living then i answer i work on office in a regular basis. Ill just answer i trade in cryptocurrency if they ask me what do i do to have passive income. If they say they can do better and trade secretly then good for them. Another member of crypto community. I dont see the reason why it should be a secret except with your passwords and private keys.

I do not tell anyone that I am engaged in trading. Only my closest people know about it. I just don't see the point in telling everyone. Still, many will be skeptical, maybe someone ask to tell him about it in more detail. But I don't want to do it and train someone. So I continue to trade covertly.

It's a common scenario as people have different approaches. This is why most of the people including me tend to just keep it by ourselves (you aren't responsible to share everything what you know) so there will be no issue amidst making yourself more profitable than what your get from your full time job.

If someone ask my job, i not say that i am on crypto yet. Because they will curious and keep asking me how to do it. Especially when they see us success, they wouldn't know how struggle we are in trading activity and think it is easy money.

Trading cryptocurrency or any other currency is more difficult than any other job out there, anything that requires cracking of brain, strategy, reading of charts and many more can only be done by someone smart. So if anyone is curious to know what I am doing, I will be happy to let them know because it will make them to respect me and my intelligence.

I heard of a story recently of a guy that went to his friend’s out and saw how rich the guy his, and during the cause of discussion, he mentioned he was into crypto trading, he begged the friend to put him through but the guy advised that he visit a learning center as he may not have all the time for him to explain in details which he picked offense, but ever since he visited a learning center, he has been respecting his friend and understood that being a full time trade is not easy as he thought and take ones time.

From my end here I do tell them I'm involved in bitcoin related stuffs trading, binary options etc while some are curious about it wanting to learn from me while majority admonished me to stay away guessing that I must have been involving in online scam but I wouldn't give a damn that won't deters or discourage me from my trading

Same here. It is not going to do you any harm if you disclose about the kind of coin you HODL. I openly discuss about Bitcoin and ETH and try to share about technicalities that newbies might find hard to get over. In addition, it is a kind of information for the people who do not know about Bitcoin when you share about Bitcoin or any other coin.

To tell you the truth, once they got interested in bitcoin and other crypto tradings, they become competitive. I have coworkers who are really curious about bitcoin, it's really hard to explain it to them. I usually argue with someone here who really do not understand how btc works. Sometimes, when they thought they knew about crypto trading and everything where in fact, they're not.  Over all, they ended up losing. Lol.

I do feel the same way, I once mentioned to a very close friend of mine that I have been trading cryptocurrency or bitcoin and the first thing my friend told me, oh noh that’s a scam and that i’m only wasting my time in bitcoins. It’s just sad that some people look down on bitcoin without really knowing what it is and what it can do. Now, I seldom open up to my friends about me trading because they might say something bad again. I’ll just do my thing and maybe soon cryptocurrency or bitcoin will just speak for themselves.
