If those "authorities in financial cycle" according to you has such tremendous power to bring bitcoin down they could have do that long time ago. Bitcoin has it own backing outside of those authority and nor of them can harm bitcoin the way we think.

Why should they do that, as they knew that with how investors and traders are reacting with some flows why they will spoil it right away, as long as they seen lots of flowing money around this market for sure they will continue playing, but I agree that we should enjoy what we are seeing right now as movements are not that too high so we can still catch up.

We need to first see how this bull run goes, right now I am really thinking that people who are betting on the halving increasing the price is the ones buying and making this bull run happen. If that is the case then we are not going to see too much of an increase, however if that is not the case and the price keeps going up and even goes up more before the halving that the 50 thousand dollars prediction could totally happen.

A bull run usually doesn't as long as a bear run, when going down it takes months for the price to go down to a point where it can't go down anymore however when its going up it takes no time to go up and reaches to a point it can't sustain the price and starts to drop. So, I am sure we are about to see the max of this bull run quite soon this summer. That will help us understand what will happen on 2020.

Thats what majority are saying  . They say that there will be a halving on 2020 and they say that this will cause for the price to rise . Thats good to know because everyone is waiting for that but my question is that what about manipulation ?  

What if whales decides to manipulate and dump the market while everyone is waiting and expecting that the price will rise ?  We should keep in mind that the price mainly moves on the demand & supply and not because of the events or upgrades  .

forget them, so many times they have created a lot of propaganda to kill bitcoin but they can't. they always created another joke anytime like china. china was always creating so many rumor about they will kill bitcoin through ban it and after they have banned bitcoin and nothing happen. Those authorities don't know about what they were talking about. decentralized is already exist and it can't be shutdown easily.

Whales could bring down the bitcoin market price this because they have made the current bitcoin market price now surge up to 7K USD. Now, it is up to the people around the world to invest in bitcoin and probably those ICO projects that does not have the real project but only invested on bitcoin and other coins in the market. This will help BTC or the crypto market to pump up but I guess the OP was exaggerating too much about thinking 50K USD per btc in the year 2020. I am only thinking about 20-30K Usd per btc in the future like in 2020.

Have you ever imagined a crypto space without ICO anymore? Or let us just take out those projects that really doesnt have anything to do and those scams.
Millions of USD was invested there. If only we could try to push those investors into just focusing on bitcoin instead of risking tll much.
Then, we could been having a greater value by now.
It could not just be the whales that made this surge happen.
The loss in trust in ICO could be one good factor too.

I guess the optimism of every bitcoin trader and buyers have been lowered because of the sudden fall last January 2018 or further.

It is difficult to say the price of bitcoin in 2020, the bitcoin journey is improving in 2019 and is likely to increase for 2020, but for high jumps and reaching 50k in 2020 is difficult for bitcoin.

I think authorities have absolutely no say in bitcoin at all, they are definitely strong enough to make it go low if they could but they are not strong enough to stop it. So that's why I think authorities can ban bitcoin all they want but it will continue forever as long as there is at least one pc with bitcoin on their computer.

Now that we are as far as many big countries accepting the existence of bitcoin and there are plenty of crypto companies and they are getting funded by a lot of big names in angel investor area so they are going to continue as well. That's why I think even if a couple of small countries ban bitcoin and even as a big country china bans it, as long as the other countries continue their legal look towards bitcoin it can go as high as anything and there is no mathematical limit to what it can be.

I think what we need to do for now is cross the bridge that we are now and then we would be able to know what the future really holds for the crypto community, we can't predict what the price of bitcoin would be in 2020 when we can't predict what the price would be at the end of 2019, this is why I said we should focus on what is placed before us now than on the future, by the time we are getting to the third quarter of the year, then we would be able to predict the price of the coin next year following the flow.

Dude, I believe you like crazy, I use to doubt this but with some of the crazy stunt bitcoin has pulled on us that even most of the greatest analyst could not see, I really believe that bitcoin will get to that value by 2020/2021 because I expect the FOMO this period that the number of investors we have has seriously multiplied compared to the number of investors we had in the last bull run.

I don’t care which industry will be most affected if bitcoin attains this milestone, all I care about is how much I will be having in my account the, which is why people should better invest in their future now, so that they don’t end up feeling out of the equation when that time comes.

If this year 2019 would be the peak year then next year is like 2018 where bitcoin's price will fall down again. Bitcoin's vilatility doesnt make it stay on the same price for too long so it willl either go up or down. You can take that oppotunity to buy bitcoin in a cheaper price again and wait for another increase.

It's difficult, I'm very much positive as much as possible but $50k for 2020 looks not going to happen from that point. I can also be wrong with my speculation of it because we didn't expect such highs 2 years ago, correct?

Yes, 2020 is halving year and it will commence by May. The price will rise but I don't expect that it will go as high as $50k.

We have more 6 months before we end the 2019 and enter the year 2020. For the price of $50,000 I maybe it will possible to hit but low possibility only but it can also not to reach. But if your prediction is after few years it is really possible.

Bitcoin is the top and first crypto as i knew .It has shown his characteristics .It is well developed .Now btc is a huge platform .We have seen a long bearish momentum in the past year .Now it has a good momentum to go through .However the price is around 8000$ .The way it is moving up we can see 50000$ in year 2020 .Now lets see how it act in the near future.

I think that 2020 will be a great year to hold bitcoins, but the bull run in 2019 will probably push bitcoins up above last all-time high, making the expectations for 2020 even higher.

Don't you think that if they could bring the price down they would have done so already? To crash the price of bitcoin you need to own bitcoin and they do not have any, now they are trying some of their shady tactics and are trying to manipulate the price with futures contracts since they do not need bitcoin for that but the recent growth in the price seems to indicate that their tactics are not going to be effective, so the only chance they have to crash the price of bitcoin is to make it illegal but in many countries this is going to be a challenge.

It is a real possibility that we could reach the all time high valuation even before the next halving if the market is going forward and today we saw that the market is showing signs of weakness for the first time in weeks when it tried to cross nine thousand dollars and the market is down for the moment, lets see how the market will react for the next few days and if it gains momentum again, we should accept the fact that we will touch another all time high before the halving.
