And now it is already 2:2. I thought it was over after 2:0 lead but that Qatar side actually has something in them. I am not watching the match but it seems like it is a very interesting one. I really hate coverage of Copa. Can't find them on any program I get (and I am paying for shitload of them) and all the streams are crappy.

Argentina is the first surprise result of this tournament.I placed a bet on them winning against Colombia but woke up today morning and I was surprised with the 0-2 result.Now with Paraguay not being able to defeat Qatar I think it can be considered as another surprise.

I won't say I'm totally surprised with Qatar getting a draw against Paraguay, It however would have hurt really much If Qatar had won the game because prior to the tournament's kick off, I predicted Qatar would win the match 2 - 1.

Lineups for Uruguay vs Ecuador is out already with Suarez and Cavani leading the line for Uruguayans, I hope can they get a win, It's been a disappointing so far

Just finished watching Paraguay vs Qatar. I thought it was going to be a boring game but it turned out to be one of the best games in the tournament so far. First time watching Qatar and, man, those guys can play some really great football, wtf?? i'm impressed! (now I understand why @buwaytress is backing them  )...Too bad they lack strikers with clinical finishing, otherwise, they could've won by at least a 2 goals or more today.

Looking forward to see how they compete against NT's with world-class players.

Yeah, I'm also impressed about Qatar performance. Just few starting minutes when they conceded goal was a bit chaotic, but later they started to play very solid, especially in the second half.
Now I'm watching Uruguay - Ecuador game and Uruguay leading 3:0 after first half. So far they are totally dominating. Ecuador made just 1 shot so far and one their player got red card. I didn't expected that this match will be such easy for Uruguay.

I wasn't expecting such a big scoreline either, The match ended 4:0 both Suarez and Cavani made their marks. I thought it was going to be difficult game for Uruguay and they've always had a solid defensive performance which made me go for a 2:0 win as my pick. Although, going one man down also had it's effect on the Ecuador team's plan and Uruguay took that to their best advantage.

Right? I know at least one guy knocked me earlier in this thread (and of course he didn't join our pool heh) but aside from the friendly against Brazil, they have not lost a competitive game since the AFC. They actually outplayed Paraguay didn't they? Better dribbling, better passing, they just seemed to really get stuck in the pitch so I'm wondering if they've never played on bad pitches.

I still feel they got on the bad side of a few bad ref calls although he did improve towards the end of the match. Almoez scored as I hoped, but he should really have done better with the pass on 92nd minute. OR made the shot himself.

Uruguay I didn't watch, needed an early start but I put $30 on Suarez and co and they got me almost 2/1. Messi and Aguero must be feeling really crap seeing that team turn it on.

I am happy with every moment in this competition. Very many surprises that occur at the beginning of the competition and countries that might be predicted to win every match actually experience a defeat like Argentina. Paraguay should have won against Qatar if we saw in terms of players certainly Paraguay is better.

Qatar performance was quite acceptable as a start and Uruguay was hard on Ecuador!

I also think that Chile should win it.
Qatar are Japan are invited as guests. In previous tournaments other teams not from South America played in Copa America - Mexico, USA, Honduras, Costa Rica or Jamaica. In nxt tournament 2020 Qatar and Australia will be guests

Didn't watch it so don't know if the scoreline did any justice but don't need to read too much to know Chile probably deserved the win. Japan did well enough in the WC, and I know others will agree that they were overrated in the AFC (yet still reached the final) -- such a hammering, though, so is this a true reflection of Japan's true (lesser) ability or Chile's superiority? This was the team that beat Argentina last Copa... on drab penalties.

Damn! Of course I knew but I was very hesitant to take Chile - 1.5 Handicap for an odd of ~ 1.84 which could have been a very easy win for me.

I think the score line was justified by how the match went, The scores is a bit unfair to Japan's performance, they weren't totally outplayed and they had their own opportunities too, but football isn't always a fair game.

With only 10 teams from South America, the tournament cannot be played since no group can be formed. So the decision from many years was to add 2 other teams generally from North America and the Caribbean countries. Since those teams are playing at the same time in the concacaf, then they decided to add 2 Asian teams.
I know it is hard for nippon and Qatari guys to make it but it would be funny to have an Asian team winning Copa America

@snipie Hell yeah, It would really be funny to have Qatar win this copa. Think it would cause a riot, possibly never get reinvited to anything anymore after heh.

But speaking of Concacaf, I thought there were some good deals there, been predicting well only problem is parlaying them with lousy picks in copa.

Venezuela draw wasn't helpful at all to my cause. I seldom ever pick draws! I'm in last place. Really not worth picking upsets heh.

What is going on with Brazil and Argentina team? Other day Argentina lost against Colombia and today when I woke up I saw Brazil shared point with Venezuela. A goalless match for Brazil.

For the time zone thinggi I can not watch the matches but looking at the scores it seems like both team are not playing their own game or I am missing something?

I think Venezuela are a good side, I picked them win against Peru, but It wasn't going for an upset against Brazil, I placed a bet on them + 0:2 which I won.

Let's see what Argentina's performance will be against Paraguay, It's a must win for them tonight. I hope they don't fail to deliver again.
