Interesting article about the death of ICOs and the emergence of IEO... https://cryptotradernews.com/investing-trading/are-icos-really-dead/

What do you guys think? I don't think ICOs are fully dead. They just need to be regulated in more efficient ways. Most ICOs from 2017-2018 never delivered on their promises because they were being ran by a bunch of assholes who didn't deliver squad... We need more regulation. Only then will ICOs get better imo.
I think that only the ICOs want to raise fund through a crowdfunding or Public Sale are dead. No more retail investors are interest in this market. You can see that new ICOs still appear daily, but they aim to VCs, or invesment institutions. They still alive, just change the way to raise fund.

who says ICO is dead and people just say it doesn't make sense whether in ICO or in IEO invest because ICO is a bit ruined now most people prefer to invest in IEO but i'm sure that when the ICO comes out of drowning all the investors here will earn a lot.

ICO is a fundraising method, it is obvious that losing popularity is lost and the number of projects resorting to this method.
According to statistics, 94% of ICO projects fell 90% of its price relative to Bitcoin after their initial placement.
This statistic alone suggests that ICOs as a whole are profitable only in the short term, at best.

ICO is not dead. More precisely there are already many who do not use ICO. Although there are still a few. Investors trust IEO more. Compared to ICO, IEO is far more useful. Moreover, if the IEO conducted on the exchange are already popular. Then, tokens will be sold out in a few minutes.

I agree that ICO is not dead. There are several projects that prefer the ICO path and are able to achieve the target soft cap. Maybe IEO is faster in achieving the target but for new projects that are raising funds, paying exchanger at a high price is a difficult choice for the developer team

Maybe not totally dead but we can agree that ICOs are no longer what it used to be. The only ICO I remember this year which did okay was from Ferrum with a very low cap of 500k usd.  Investors and Exchanges now prefer the IEO pattern which offers more security and confidence

The IEO now replaced completely the ICOs and the last page of the ICO book was closed a year ago. The investors have the freedom to believe in the exchanges rather than trusting the team of the legit projects. The crypto investors can't find easily the realible proejcts and they look for better options in this case. The more choices appear in the market, the more problems will be solved. The exchanges also know these facts and they look for reliable proejcts now. It is quite easy to list the token after the IEO but the exchange management also want to use the reputable companies for gaining more advantages. They don't need to believe the empty promises, the practice of the crypto trading also teaches them like the most traders.

ICOs are not fully dead there are still ICO running even IEO is trendy, but many investors are losing confidence to invest in ICO because of many scams in the past year and until now, so they rather go IEO. It is rarely to find a legit project ICO nowadays.

Due to many fake ICO's, many people are afraid to invest in the ICO's and moving their investment to IEO's. From 2018 to till date people lost a huge amount of fund through the ICO's. Now a day, it is very hard to find the legit ICO's for investing.

Personally, I do not believe ICO's are dead rather many have tuned their mind to IEO's in other to gft acess to ready market, ICO's are still in the market and there are some developers who will still prefer ICO over OEO's and IEO's

IEOs are not regulated as well, but the fact that exchanges are regulated, this is way safer compared to ICO.
Though with IEO there are only limited number of projects compared to ICO, but this is still considered a great achievement as we are talking of quality over quantity here.

I don't know if there's still an innovation for crowdsale format in the future, but I feel this IEO will last longer if not forever.

Being a startup project looking for funds nowadays is so sad, as investors see most icos as scam who do not deliver goals according to their roadmap, but just raises money and get listed on an exchange. I personally believe a none ico project with a good team, may have a better chance at doing well than an ico project

In general, ICOs, as a form of fundraising, have not died, the requirements for projects that launch ICOs have simply increased. Even now, you can see projects that manage to raise large sums at the ICO. But I think that it depends on the project and the team, because only promising projects with a finished product and partnership agreements with large companies can succeed and raise the necessary amount during the ICO. For low-quality projects, ICOs are dead and most likely IEOs for such projects are also dead.

ICOs are definitely not dead. I think that people should be glad that the ICO has become small. This means that there are fewer scammers who used to be on the market a lot.
ICO is not dead yet and sometimes there are good ICO projects, but still few people have become interested and even less interested in investing in ICO projects

ICOs are not dead but they are 1 step behind that.
If this IEO will not survive then it will die along them. we need more project to be successful in IEO and ICO together.
If this will happen then we can have a birghter future, better than 2017!

in the bounty thread there are still many ICO projects that have sprung up meaning this indicates that ICO is still needed. yes, I know that there are many cases of ICO project fraud but not all of them are like that.

But most of them looks like a scam/fraud. Even projects that going IEO are getting unsuccessful results, so I think no needed any conversations about ICO projects.

yes but not for the whole.
can you give an example of a failed IEO project? I am confused, do you mean to fail to scam / fail because it did not reach the ATH price?

IEO this is ICO only on the exchange platform. IKO are dead due to the fact that no one uses this type of investment, well, or almost no one.
IEOs are successful, and while the number of participants artificially restricting IEOs will bring income to their investors.

I'm talking about projects that held IEO, but at exchange price goes down with time. Example: Just look at launchpad of any exchange and pick some project then check price during IEO and currently price. At first IEO was a really good chance for investors to get big profits, but not at the moment.

Recently, on the contrary, I see some activation of ICO projects. By the number of projects it has become not a little more, however, along with fraudulent ones, good projects are increasingly meeting. Therefore, I’m sure that the ICO’s activities are not dying, it may well revive when the market begins to grow and rise. The main difficulty now for ICO projects is the poor state of the cryptocurrency market.
