1. If you use a online wallet/service, you are locked into chain that they choose. Your coins will be valid still but on that single new chain.
2. If you use a wallet you control, depends on what chain you connect to. Mining hardware - The hardware required to mine bitcoins or cryptos is not easily to be found and is the major part of the initial investment to setup the farm.( Not cheap in India)
High Speed internet - Internet is required all the time at high speed for the machines to mine.
