Blockchain in education system?

The education sector is as important as healthcare and finance. There are a lot of areas within this sector that could be improved using technology. With AI and interactive learning on the rise today,
the market for edtech is estimated to reach $93.76 billion globally by 2020.

With blockchain tech, on the other hand, data security is one of the main advantages. Cases of data breach regarding student records have been reported and thru blockchain, this could be avoided.

One example would be Singapore's OpenCerts projects which aims to completely eliminate the need for schools to issue paper certificates and makes the process of checking a certificate’s authenticity easier. Employers can simply drag and drop the certificate onto the OpenCerts website and get it verified quickly. Tampering of certificates cannot easily be done also because the system can detect it.

Cheaper, more secured, faster, and more convenient. These are main benefits the education sector can get from blockchain tech. A brighter future for the future generation.

Nice article, I haven't known that MIT is doing something with blockchain. Good to know. Until today I've only know BEN as education related usage of blockchain.
I'm glad there is more initiatives which are trying to use this technology somewhere else besides cryptocurrency.

Personally, I would be very happy if blockchain tech will make education more effective. But I'm afraid whole education system isn't ready for it.

It would be so cool if blockchain can be implemented into the education system, it would change it entire, we have been in the same system of education for the past 100 years now without changing even when other things in the world are advancing, so implementing blockchain system into the educational world would cause a dramatic change in the way the system works and makes it more transparent and easy to learn since the focus will not just be on everything but bad on your niche.

It will good. People need more open minded about technology and digital asset. So if blockchain education implemented into education system it will help so many people to understand more about blockchain and anything into it. Gradually all the education systems are ready, of course I'm very happy like you that the blockchain system can develop in real life and all of that will have a positive role for crypto prices. Its really good if there is course about blockchain and i am glad to participate because its good knowledge. I am believe this teach only in IT school and not for public. But online course teach in many website.

The point is not that the education system is not ready for the blockchain. The problem is the lack of specialists in this field. The sphere is very new, so in the future we will see how this science will be taught everywhere.

I think mainstream adoption of blockchain technology especially in the education sector would take a little bit of time but I'm very positive it will happen. Currently, there has been promising projects related to education and I think those will serve as  trailblazers that will encourage the educational sector to embrace the technology and capitalize on its benefits.

I can tell you one bloc technology is needed in many industries, and even more so in the educational sphere, since at the moment there are many problems in this sphere and they need to be solved. I know that the market already has similar projects, but unfortunately there are very few of them and that is why the availability of new projects is necessary.

I searched for different application of blockchain in education system and it could actually help a lot. It could help on fraudities like faking the diploma and different records, record keeping, and human resources. And things like this could also help not just in education system but also in our government related things since it is really hard to fake things with the blockchain technology. Do you think all those things that are being mentioned there are even possible? All these enthusiasts are fond of hyping Bitcoin and Blockchain with things that are impossible to do. I have seen some self acclaimed experts say a lot of sh#ts on what can be done with blockchain, and it has been years now that they have been saying a these stuffs but none has been achieved. I even read an article that says all those claims are just fake, only transaction is the only thing that has been proven yet and nothing else has been proved to be possible in anyway.

That is right! Leading universities worldwide had already acknowledged the importance of blockchain technology to humankind and they've already started integrating it in their own curriculum or offering related courses and hopefully, soon we will see a surge of blockchain technology professionals as a product of this evolution in the academia.

Blockchain is a very great technology that can be applied in any field. If the blockchain is implemented in the education system, the teaching and learning process will be easier and more open because it gets a platform that all students from all over the world can follow. Indeed the blockchain system cannot directly replace the current education system but the blockchain system can be tried little by little. This is good, this can prevent fabrication of documents out there, but i believe they need the approval of the government to be able to do so but they also need to develop their own blockchain.

Blockchain is good when applied to our schools but it takes additional budget since the blockchain is costly as of now. But I think government should consider this since education is really important so investing additional money on it would be worth it. Education is a right and the government should make it convenient for all of its fellow citizen.
