NXT and it's better distributed clone NEM will be the big standouts come the end of 2014, due to the excellent progress being made by the NXT dev community.

Watch ECCCOIN too..as that might get uber popular as well.

Yep, ECC could be a surprise sleeper for a surge in marketcap: 5 weeks left of no-halving mining, 25% year interest PoS, and less coins than MINT (which was previsouly valued 10x ECC, currently 4x after the recent drops).

Was also hoping for good things from FAIR with it's distribution, pity the devs screwed that up.

Einsteinium (Emc2) has a real shot at hitting a dollar in 2014. Doge will hit a dollar within 5 years. $120 billion market cap will be necessary to push billions of dollars a day around. It's just inevitable if cryptos are alive and kicking in 5 years.

Definitely Med. We all know how well new hashing algorithms do. Its going to be like litecoin, as the small asics are no longer profitable on bitcoin they now have somewhere to mine earning 10x more minung med then btc.

The only alt-coins that I could see breaking $1 in 2014 are ones that have a really limited supply. Look at how bitbars are worth a lot even though no one is giving them attention or trading them.

In the end though, what really matters is what innovation, if any, a new alt-coin is bringing to the table. Prices are irrelevant for an alt-coin if they're just gonna be pumped, dumped, and forgotten.

The devs are great, the community is great and it is not just an altcoin, it's unique in my honest opinion.
