I would say its a sidekick of existing monetary system, you have an centralized government that prints money, circulate for economy and welfare of humanity. Comprehensive yet flawed in some context, privacy is not great, yet accustomed to PEOPLE. Blockchain and bitcoin is the other hand does the opposite, not necessarily better but its a inevitable invention. Both are equally important and while most of the youngster did know about internet, its easy to explain the same distributed way of verifying transactions

The existing system doesn't need a sidekick to press the people down, not when it's got basically the entire world's recognised economies behind it and a horde of bankers and capitalists who need the status quo to continue enjoying their strangeholds, and to ensure their children after them have the same.

Definitely agree bitcoin may not do all things better - centralised works for some things - but it's not difficult to be better than the current system really.

Get millennials to understand first the flaws of the system. And then if they care, show them the Bitcoin alternative.

Hi, I'm not new to bitcoin & blockchain and I'm a full time trader with quite a little knowledge on tech background. I do trade cryptocurrency coins and studied a lot on blockchain technology. But I have a question, I always stumbled across this in my mind when people ask me why blockchain is the future, why should you care and buy?  Anybody can give me some tips and answer for this?

Would appreciate it.
Well just explain them what internet of things is and how blockchain are on it. You can teach them about a project of the coin that working on blockchain sector. Blockchain is a future cause many thing could be explained and blockchain is building trust and also the smart contract that would make anything easier without need a third party. And for your last questions, why should you buy and invest in blockchain? i would aswer it pretty straight, blockchain will be the future and still not be used and still in development so i do think its the best to invest on it on early stages cause it might bring a lot of profit for you.

Blockchain removes the middle man in a transaction which can be very costly and unreliable. It cannot be hacked so information stored through blockchain is very safe albeit it is in a public ledger. It can be used in a lot of industries which is why it is dubbed as the future.

Not all of Altcoin's development on the Blockchain platform is the currency of the future. With Altcoin that receives support from the future Crypto community, it can be considered a replacement currency for FIAT, so choosing Altcoin as an investment option will help you make a profit.

It is easier to explain it on millenials since they were born on where technology has already risen. Why blockchain is the future? because it can be use in services even on elections. By the use of blockchain, we can avoid fraud. Why you shoud care and buy? By the use of blockchain, i can buy cryptocurrency like bitcoin with faster transaction and the reason why i buy cryptocurrency coz i can make money from it and i can be a millionaire one day lol

Bitcoin is also the future of all trusted digital payments and can be the way to prove a job to homeless people. Bitcoin can be the future of many establishments. So better to understand what bitcoin and cryptocurrency so that millennials have the knowledge when the right time comes.
Me I don't see bitcoin as complicated so I can explain to the millennials what can be the future with bitcoin.

Easy to explain to them as they are open minded and they love new technology.
You don't need to put a lot of effort explaining to them, give them the reference and let them study bitcoin.
Tell them to search in google,, watch youtube videos and that it s a lot resources already where they are learn if they are interested.
Also, don't forget to tell them that we have a great community here with this forum.

Millenials have a broader knowledge in technology more than other generations and im sure there are a bit less explanation about technicals. The thing we should teach them now is about how crypto can bring us passive income and its possibility as an official currency in the world.

This is the right place to look. This forum is pretty old, i suggest you to first use the search option inside Beginners&Help and see if your doubts are solved. If not, you can easily open up a threat and make sure that your question is carefully explained there so it not only helps you but also anyone else that looks at it and needs/wants to know more about this movement or technology.

If anyone is interested enough, they can learn about blockchain on their own. Understand bitcoin and blockchain are not the same thing which is what most people don't understand but if you educate them on an enterprise that have embedded blockchain without bitcoin it will interest them to learn more about it.

there's no point in explaining in detail what the blockchain is, because they ask a search engine there are many articles that contain details about the blockchain. because millennial currently very dependent on internet-based explanations rather than explaining directly. if they has learned about blockchain from internet, the next step try to introduce a wallet address and how to use it. until that point I think it's enough, if indeed he is lined up let him explore directly what is blockchain.

When I explain to them, I always compare them to stocks since they are more familiar with that and the concept of buy and sell is easy to grasp. The denomination is 1 satoshi, similar to how a dollar is composed of pennies.

Learning by their own cannot be done easily due to some factors, which might destruct the minds of newbies who wanted to acquire such knowledge about bitcoin and blockchain. If I wanted to explain briefly about bitcoin to millennials, maybe I would suggest some funny examples which made them more interested. There must be intimate discussions that will be followed by the millennial participants, and financial experiences is one of the best part that could attract them to acquire basic informations in order to gain step by step knowledge.

I think you can explain to them about the investment in cryptocurrency and makes an example of buying the stock at the market. But you can do with your own explain, and I think you can explain what you learn and it's better to give a live explanation at the market so they can understand what you want. But I think you don't have to explain more details to them because they are new people who interest with cryptocurrency and they need to know about the basic of cryptocurrency first, so then they can learn another lesson of cryptocurrency.

The blockchain is a server network, where every transaction gets confirmed by every server, which is a part of that network. This is the most stupidly simple explanation(it might not be 100% accurate) that came up in my mind.

No, its not the same. Blockchain has no server. That's why they called it Decentralized.
The value of decentralized control is that it eliminates the risks of centralized control. With a centralized database, anybody with sufficient access to that system can destroy or corrupt the data within. This makes users dependent on the administrators.

Actually millennials are those who can understand the blockchain technology better than anyone else.
I would strongly recommend you to watch all the videos of Andreas Antonopoulos. He is a Bitcoin Expert and he shares a lot of content about blockchain in his media. Follow him on twitter if you wish.

I guess one way to introduce or explain Blockchain to millenials is to use the smart phones. Millenials cant live without their smartphones with them so if theres an app out there created to teach or show what blockchain is I guess its a good way to start. I heard samsung already added a cryto wallet in their new phone.
