Can I start scalping with a 500$?

to be honest I'm not a fan of multi coins trading . I pick another coin with BTC and trade it. now I'm trading in BNB.

That's probably smart to stick with one or two coins instead of buying a whole bunch and seeing what happens.  Then again, it's mostly luck when you make money in crypto.

What's all this hype surrounding BNB right now?  I keep hearing it mentioned and I don't see what's so special about it.  I keep owning it randomly since I trade on Binance, but I've never thought of actually accumulating it.  Don't know if it's off-topic, but can anyone explain why BNB is worth owning or trading?

And OP, what is "scalping"?  I only know the definition of the word when it comes to buying tickets or ripping someone's hair out of their head.

I have started this out with 17 bucks to begin with, I know it wasn't ideal and it was different times but now I had received and spent over 30 bitcoins in my life time. Most of them were from working and not trading but I had the chance to make a lot via trading and a lot of airdrops plus good ICO investments and all that as well.

The point I am trying to make is that you can have zero and still start somewhere, put in your own effort if your money is not enough, if your money is 500 bucks then find something that you think will go up a lot and invest into that, divide your money and put it on multiple stuff you believe in and one will go up. If you divide 500 bucks into 5 projects and only one of them makes you x10 return while others go bankrupt you still have 1000 dollars instead of 500 even with just 1 out of 5 successful projects.

To get the highest profit in 2 months, you can invest in LTC now. Because of the upcoming halving event and bull run signs, you will see its price x2 or even x2.3 in the next 2 months. This is a good opportunity for you to buy a large altcoin with great and safe returns.
But you should start learning about trading and learn more about technical analysis. asking others about good deals will never work well. Please understand it and control your portfolio.

Everything will depend on the market situation. If the bull run continues, even the altcoins that seem to us week can give many investors the best profits. It is possible to double the investments I think.

You’re risking your money, how can you do scalping if you don’t know how to start?
Better to learn more about scalping because short term trading is not that profitable and if its just a small money then trading fees will just take that money slowly. Use the most active exchange and go look for an active coin also.

You can't expect a guaranteed profit with your given timeframe no matter what strategy will you do. Scalping, like with other trading strategies, will rely on how the price will behave plus the fact that every coin has different behaviour. The output of it will depend on how well you executed it.

For the amount you have mentioned, definitely yes. It's enough.

Since you are now currently trading, then why not just test it and see the result for yourselves.

More importantly, don't set a target period where your money should be doubled but instead, focus on winnings at any cost.

If you want more profit in a very short period of time, better to add more in your capital,  maybe just another $500.
Yeah,  losing and winning will always be a part in trading and it is good to see that you still survive from this losses you have. You're making it right and I may suggest just to focus on a single coin or two for you have to manage it well.

Focusing more on potential profits rather than potential risk makes a lot of people greedy while trading and might cause you to disregard the risk in a trade altogether, which can be extremely risky. Ideally you should be trading similarly to how you would trade with a bigger starting bankroll so you don't develop bad habits if and when you start trading with more money that you currently have.

That being said, it's entirely possible to scalp with a balance of $500 or really any amount at all. If you're looking for a platform where you can leverage your scalps, Bitmex or Deribit both work pretty well. Some people don't like Bitmex for the overloads the site occasionally has, but I'm personally fine with it and I like Bitmex's overlay better than Deribit's.

$500 is enough to start if you plan to use scalping strategy, but, be very careful in selecting where you plan to put that $500. Don't just place that $500 in 1 coin or token, spread it in 3 - 5 coins or token as possible and don't buy those that are good for long term. Use tools like Bollinger Bands, RSI and Parabolic SAR before making your decision. Learn to use those tools properly.

basically the indicator gives us direction of price movements, with that indicator we can find out the possibility of further price movements. but making it safer don't invest your funds in just one coin

This is my personal suggestion, you should DYOR before investing in Cryptocurrency.

I would suggest you to divide $500 into four parts, it should be $100 into 3 and $200 into a single crypto . The top four Cryptocurrency that I would recommend to you is  

1. Cardano - $100
2. BNB - $100
3. Litecoin - $100
4. Bitcoin - $200

You can change the amount as per your likes. I am not going to explain to you why I choose these cryptos, if you can check google, you will get your answer. I estimate within 2 to 3 months you should be easily able to make 2x of your investment. Remember as soon as you reach 2x individually or the total balance of $500 (which ever you reach first) cash out.

I think the idea on this is more of holding (as opposed to day trading) just waiting for the coin to make a move to the "moon" which is likely to happen when bitcoin can go full blast in the next few weeks (or to the $10,000 level and beyond). Litecoin can easily absorb influence from Bitcoin that is for sure while with BNB I think it has a life of its own...possibly growing up to $50 within June. Of course, all of what we are saying here means we are just speculating so we still have to carefully study before jumping into the hot waters.

What do you mean by scalping? Usually scalping means trading the 15 minute or 5 minute time frame chart. It can be any trading pair. Since you are on binance, you can trade BTC/USDT or a similar pair. But you have to know technical analysis, to tell you when to enter and when to exit. And you do that several times a day. On binance you cannot short, so you are very limited to taking only long positions. You can probably switch to Bitmex where you can go long and short.

Nice, scalping is not easy to be done as the market volatility is really affects each position to take, if you are good in observing how the market will behave then there's a big opportunities to earned decent amount.

It would be risky for you to do scalping as a beginner. Why don't you try trading the most basic way so that you won't get confused? $500 would be a good start for you to have enough experience in trading and for you to know the fundamentals of it.

Certainly agree with you that scalping is very risky especially for newbie in trading. I'm assuming that the one who started this thread is a newbie based on his question. Scalping is based on charts and more technical analysis which is for experienced traders. Better to start with simple trading. Doubling your money is a possibility also with the current bullish period. You just need to choose a strong coin.

Maybe look for high volume coin and see it is pumped and dumped a lot or not. In scalping especially if you want to look daily profit, you must get coin that not really stable and take any chance from it as soon as possible.

If you try as much as possible not to leverage your trade, I think you can easily achieve 2% with bitcoin scalping a day and you could even achieve that target at once in a day without scalping, because for some days now, bitcoin value has been shooting more than 6% sometime in a day, but in a normal stable market, you should be able to get that.

For trading platform, please I will advise you to stick with binance for now, I have nothing to gain asking you to do this, but with an honest mind so you don’t lose your money, stay with this exchange, its reliable and the most popular exchange of them all and you wont regret it.

I only analyzed the movements of the coins there I learned them. I tend to choose a coin that moves and has a large enough volume. my target is 5-10% even though it's hard for me to assume this is a fun process.
