[Request] We need our mod back again in the German local board

We are without moderator since over a half year now (November 04, 2018) in the German local board. Our moderator (phantastisch) was removed because he was inactive for a few months. He’s back since February and has confirmed that he would like to do the moderation again:

Prinzipiell kann ich denk ich wieder Mod-Aufgaben übernehmen, in welchem Umfang müsste man besprechen und siehe Abwesenheit auch besser nicht alleine.

Translated: In general, it's possible to do the moderation again but the scale should be discussed [he was just back out of the hospital when he wrote it] and if possible not alone [together with a back-up moderator]

and

Wie gesagt, ich kann nur anbieten den Job wieder zu übernehmen. Ich muss es nicht machen.
Ein 2. Mod wäre aber zwingend anzuraten.

Translated: As I said my offer is to do the moderation again. But there's no need [if someone else want to do it]
A second moderator would be definitely recommended.

Earlier this year we had already opened a request but it looks like it was unnoticed although phantastisch was back again, active on the forum and wrote also some PMs to theymos. The list is still valid and if theymos doesn’t agree that phantastisch (our first choice) should do the job, theymos can select someone from our list (community-generated):

If possible, a backup-moderator would be nice to avoid situations like we have to deal with it right now but we would be fine if we can get at least a normal mod back like it has been before when phantastisch was still active in moderating.

Therefore, the German community wants to request if it’s possible to get this problem solved before a new bull run starts and the spam gets more.

Yes would be nice to get some Moderator again so that would be get some things easyer when you report it and also there would be someone you can speak or write about things !
And the next reason that if we get an Mod again is that it will be possible to make some cleaning in th local board there and sort some kind of things in all Sections there .
Some posts there can be pinned maybe without asking an Global Moderator or somebody that have the power for doing that .
I mean we are working realy great together there and i am glad that it works so well but sometimes it would be good just have an Mod ,
and other User can help newbies instant as for just try to look and watch the Local board or search for Spammers and other shit.
Anyway i hope that we will get one in the future again and as 1miau has written , phantastisch would be nice and there are a few in the list that would bedoing it to !

So it Seems like a trial period would be a good idea.

If it is too much work for his health he can step down again.

Yes, that was the case for Phantastisch, now that he is recoverd, we would love to get him back as moderator.

Interesting idea. That would also work to introduce the backup mod if he feels comfortable doing it. After 30 days theymos can decide if the duo is a good solution or if the backup moderator realises, that moderating isn't the kind of work for him and he wants to step back.

A short period to try it would also lead to some progress for the issue that we are without mod.

I was sick for a long extended period of time. More then a few years.  But over the last decade I have gotten healthy and can contribute to society in general and to this website specifically.

So I can say personally I was able to return from a long illness and do decent quality things for many people.

I mentionned this issue some months ago, and Theymos said he was looking into it.

Not sure the new thread regarding this is entirely necessary, however a new moderator surely is.

I can only support the naming of one or two (one backup) moderator.

Phantastisch was doing an amazing job when he was there, I think he still has his place as a mod, but might need a suppleant when he is away for reasons out of his hands.
