I know the question sounds stupid.

But my questions is, if i have 50k should i rather invest in bitcoin, ethereum or a other high market cap coin compared to a small market cap coin were i could almost own 0.1% if the coin supply is 1 billion and trades at 5 cent.

It should be much easier for the coin with a lower market cap to make much more gains than with Btc, right?

Small coins you are talking might have low volume at most of the cases. I doubt it can filled your big orders the moment you will take a profit on it.

Don't want to suggest what coins you must put your money but you know what BTC can do and where it should always go*.

It should be much easier for the coin with a lower market cap to make much more gains than with Btc, right?

Depends on a certain coin's volume and price behaviour.

But honestly, you can play on it. Test it on actual with your own strategy as we have a different approach on how we trade.

Risk some low percentage of your capital and see how far it will go. See the result for yourselves.

If that's all for trading, I don't know how strong you are saving lots of coins with all the risks involved, of course you choose more clearly because they have to go because Bitcoin is pretty good in the current market situation by pumping unexpectedly, returning to yourself because to buy a small coin is good enough but use the analysis first to ensure that the direction will occur in the future.

Both are profitable so you don't have to struggle to choose. You can invest some in Bitcoin and other in Ethereum. You can divide your capital and you can also choose in potential altcoins if you want. It all depends on your span of holding but if I were you, I will not hesitate to invest on Bitcoin especially now that the prices are getting better.

I personally prefer to hold a few coins like Ethereum and Bitcoin as it's easier to manage things if you only hold a few coins (my Ledger Nano only has space for a few apps), but both can work out well if you do it right. There's always occasionally the coin that skyrockets in value from a few satoshis every now and then, but it's pretty hard to find such coins and you can lose money trying to find a good coin to hold for profits. Not all coins will rise in value, and a lot of alts actually decrease in value over time.

Choosing the best coins with low market cap will certain a tough job for you mate, not only it will consume a lot of time but putting your money at high risk.
Why you don't consider those known coins in the market which you have assurance that even works well than those Low market profile? Anyway, that is my suggestion and hope it will give some insight in your future investment.

I also prefer fewer coins because it easy to manage unlike having to many coins, tendency of having too many coins is you cannot monitor or manage all of it, I think I read one article here in the forum wherein he holds many coins and end up losing some of his investments because there's a coin that he kept for too long until he forgot about it and that the coin losses value if i'm not mistaken, and it is to late for him to realize it. I think it would be best to invest only on coins that can give your more profits like bitcoin or ETH and having only coins can already give you a lot profits so there's no need tp buy more.

Things have changed a lot after the 2018 dump or correction. I always  get the sentimen from crypto youtubers that they dispose their old coins and only give attention on trading new coins. But they are not letting go of altcoin that are on top 100 of cmc so they are only few. People are maybe tired of new projects and just wants to stick on the projects that has bright future and see their developments progress faster.

It completely depends. What coins are you specifically planning on holding? How long are you even planning on holding them? Holding certain altcoins can definitely be profitable in the long term, but it really just depends on what specific altcoins you're going to buy. The answer to your question really isn't binary.

Holding one bad coin is much better than 1000 shit coins,so hold many coins if you find it better but shit coins will always be in danger when you hold it for too longer.

The cryptocurrency market right now is on the bullish mode and it is estimated that bitcoin (and possibly other top altcoins as well led by Eth) can go on a rampage soon (to the $10,000 zone and beyond) so if I were in your shoes I would just concentrate on bitcoin and maybe one or 2 altcoins (you can also include BNB if you like). Remember that there are more risks associated with those relatively unknown and low-cap cryptos (though sometimes they can pump big time as well but they are more unpredictable). Go with the winners first and when you gain some profits start diversifying with other digital assets.

It is not easy. For low-capitalized coins, it is certainly trivial coins and has not been well developed. Besides, you can easily invest in coins that have no potential and sometimes without liquidity and your money will be stuck forever.
In order to effectively invest in coins with low market capitalization, you need to learn more about how to analyze its value and potential.

It's true however if you're going to base it on volume most small cap coins doesn't have volumes in it in other words there can only be few coins that are circulating around or only few who are willing to buy or sell their coin or low trading volume. I should just stick with a large volume coins since their trading volume is high which means it is volatile and may pump their price but also may dump their prices as well.

If you choose to invest in small cap coins always take a look at their product and team. Small projects may be stopped and canceled, you would lose all your money if that happens.

Therefore BTC is a way safer investment, although gains may not that big compared to a booming altcoin.

I will divide my capital into 2, I will use 2/3 to buy bitcoin and 1/3 I will use to buy coins with lower market capitalization because both have the same potential profit

I would rather choose a few yet profitable coins. What important is we're holding potential coins. Bitcoin's price is going better so I believe that it's best to invest in it. I will also suggest coins like LTC and ETH. These coins are active and has been showing its potential to rise and increase in time.

It's difficult to answer your question, because each coin has different functions and benefits. This is very influential on the development of coins that affect the price of coins in the future. In my opinion, you need to do a small analysis, visit the site https://coinmarketcap.com/, select one of the coins and follow social media to get the latest updates about their project.

Potential coins might not give unrealistic profits so choose coin based on holding term not based on the bumping level sometime it will get us to be in trouble when they don't follow the trend of bitcoin and other potential cryptos.

I prefer to hold multiple coins that give accumulate profits when the market phase has gain constant stability. There might be high volatilization, still I am positive that the market cap can surpass and continue to outcast bountifully. Just bare our wide patience to hold and  deal the flaws to gain massive outcome.
