I know the question sounds stupid.

But my questions is, if i have 50k should i rather invest in bitcoin, ethereum or a other high market cap coin compared to a small market cap coin were i could almost own 0.1% if the coin supply is 1 billion and trades at 5 cent.

It should be much easier for the coin with a lower market cap to make much more gains than with Btc, right?

There is no hard and fast rule that low satoshi coin will give you more profit or high marketcap coin will give you good profit. It depends upon the current market conditions. Sometimes keeping bitcoins may be more profitable and sometimes you would like to have your portfolio in altcoins.

If you have more amount of money, it is better to hold more coins. This way your portfolio will be divided and you will get profits from most of the coins.

And then one day another pump-and-dump group pumps the market so high that you can sell everything and get instant profit. But so is that group, so it will be a battle, and in the end, you might ended up losing that big money of yours, for me it's a bigger risk, just saying.

It should be much easier for the coin with a lower market cap to make much more gains than with Btc, right?

Hard to say, because that is a altcoins that can easily be manipulated and even though you have the majority, there could be other forces out there that will try to ruin your plans by pushing up the price and then suddenly dumps everything.

Holding many coins from one source such as BTC while holding the same quantity coins from other source such as ETH will have great impact because the price difference of BTC and ETH is very big and even their price movements are also different. BTC enables you to make more profit so it work when you hold the BTCs in large quantity only then you will be able to make profit, do the same with ETH.

Holding lots of coins requires a lot of capital to share in several coins, and also requires accurate skills and analysis.
I personally am not tempted to invest or hold lots of coins because I think it is risky and in some coins will suffer losses, I am more interested in holding a bitcoin which proved profitable even though I had to wait long and be patient but the results proved to be profitable.

Well this is obviously and easy answer, of course you should invest in bitcoin, whether you are looking for long time investment or short term invesment, bitcoin is the best option for anyone wanting to make profit from the crypto currency market, considering how the market right now is flooded with shit coins and small cryptos, investing in them would not get you that much investment, even if you like invest in 50 coins they will not get you any profit compared to what bitcoin could give you.

If you really have such a great sum of money to start investing in crypto (I guess if you have a question you are a beginner), why don't start better with learning more about crypto? You will make this decision yourself.

My advice is that you have to keep ownership of coins that are healthy and stable like Bitcoin, then you just buy coins that have low value and high potential. so I think this is a possible thing you can get for a profit.

If you work as a day trader, it is better to have many tokens. You always have a choice: which exchange can be done to get a profit. For holding, Bitcoin and Ethereum are the best cryptocurrencies, certainly.

Better to split your investment for a certain number of coins with the consideration of having premier coins and cheap coins in the list. The cheap coins do not necessarily have big capital. Knowing that cheap coins offer more percentage income for long term. While the premier coins are your bread and butter.

Agree with you for those who are working as day trader they should use more than one coin but those who are working on long term trading should focus on single coin investment and trading, as you already have mentioned the best coins so I also like to trade with bitcoin and ETH only,  I consider both of them the best coins ever.

Certainly for small businesses, you can earn a lot of money if it is a potential business. But you can also lose a lot of money because it goes bankrupt or its price is always falling over time and there is no sign of recovery.
investing in small coins always have a huge risk but I when we will get rich very quickly.

I think that it would be better to hold a little coin because with that you will be able to control the performance of each coin that you have.
compared to holding lots of coins with too many coins you hold you will be confused to pay attention to your coins one by one in the trade.

Its not that hard to check the price of your coins and there are now tools to help you monitor your portfolio more faster than usual  .  If you have less coins your earnings will also be lesser compare to when you have alot of coins but its also depend on the coins that you hodl because lots of coins these days are purely useless with no real world usage and that simply means that they cant get an adequate demand in the future or in other words their value wont grow fruitfully  .

Delta and Blockfolio android applications can do this. Diversifying the portfolio can reduce the risks associated with the market conditions. I agree with not holding the shitcoins which has no real value in any exchange and I usually ignore  any airdrop offer as fast as possible

Holding many coins will give the chances of getting better profit more than holding the normal little currencies but if you hold lots of useless investment then there will be no use in your future so investment and better currency more and more will be useful for your future to get huge profits.

If I have 50K then I'll split into that two options, both are profitable in the long run, but if you have included a new coin in your portfolio be sure that coin really has a good potential in the long term, coins with lower market cap is also profitable if there will be high demand in the future.

If you hold lots of useless coins also you don't have the the opportunity to get the profit easily and also if you hold less amount of best currency for long time then also you can get less profits only so you need to hold lots of good currencies only you can make huge profit in your future

if you were looking for a coin to be hold then you should had a huge quantity rather than settling down on the coin than has low market cap. you will have a huge profit on holdings if you will go for a coin with a huge market cap and a huge volume per day.

holding lots of coins is not a problem as long as you hold a potentially good coin, but for myself, I have to hold a little coin but it has good potential for maximum profit. so choose your choice

Its not the stupid discussion to me .You wanna know a proper suggestion when you are going to invest huge amount of money .However i think it always better to invest on different coin  definitely on top coin .You don't invest your whole money in one coin .You can choose any coin from top 20 .If you have a plan to hold coin for long time hopefully you will find your level of profit .You can also research the market and you will have much idea about the coins.
