We all know the saying "Never argue with an idiot, people watching may not be able to tell the difference".  

Over the last few days I have been countering a lot of tag-team idiots, and I can envision Theymos shaking his head sadly every time we post.  It's become redundant and boring.

The kicker is - I'm the only one on DT, so I'm the only one that is losing when people see us all as idiots.

So I'm just going to click "ignore" on these three idiots and let them post their garbage.  Their aim is to intimidate me and make me react, but I'm not like that anymore.

I'm starting a new thread for this because I want people to be aware that if I don't reply, it's not because I can't counter, it's because I'm not going to see their idiot messages.  I will let time work in my favor

Vod v OgNasty, QS v Hhampuz, CH/TOAA/mightyDT/Thule/et al v everyone, marlboroza v TECSHARE, teeGUMES/Bill Gator/Rmcdermott927 v Lauda, pretty much everyone v everyone else in various combinations. Every thread seems to degenerate quickly in to simply insulting each other, and as far as I can tell, no one has ever come close to changing someone's mind on any of these issues.

We also all know the saying "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results." If you genuinely feel the need to leave a negative rating for another member then by all means do so, but I would thoroughly implore everyone involved to stop the never-ending circular arguments, stop leaving ever escalating amounts of frivolous retaliatory red trust, hit that ignore button, and move on with your lives. It would be good for you and it would be good for the forum.

Good decision Vod. You should rather channel all your energy on the BIP project and stay off the forum drama as it certainly will slow down your productivity. I've been reading those threads since a past few weeks and it seems everyone wants to satisfy their ego. These discussions are often illogical, personal and don't intend to create a positive impact on the forum or personal lives. I'd instead see you writing code and introducing new features on the BIP project than wasting time here proving a point that won't make any difference.

My white flag was waved at 3am on May 17.  I've been ignoring TS from that point on.

I was, and still am, willing to remove the negative if he can show a serious commitment to stop lying.

But that's not my call - I have no control over him and his ego.

Vod was removed from his trust list as a direct result of his abusive behavior. A staff member agreed his behavior was abusive.

I gave you the benefit of the doubt at first, but the way you keep antagonizing, provoking, and holding it over his head has made it pretty clear it was left out of spite.  If you don't want this, I would suggest you resolve your issues with him ASAP.

Finally, If only more forum veteran members can do the same then the forum can attain a peaceful working environment. The truth is most lower rank user lookup to you guys, you see them making references and adoring most active veteran members on their posts and the whole drama was just saying otherwise. The trolls have been feeding off the arguments and political drama ongoing for the last couple of weeks, glad we'll see a reduction from now henceforth.

If only the other DT members could do the same, this is actually the first time I see a DT member has decided to stop on all of these useless fight circulating around in the forum and do what's best for the community. Whether Vod has his own reasons or not for stopping what he will do is something that theymos would gladly accept and appreciate as DTs fighting over one another is something that he didn't expect to last for this long, it simply doesn't make a good image of what a DT member should be in the forum.

It is the same thing he does every time he gets caught red handed being insane and abusive. He "disappears" for a few days or weeks and hopes people will either forget or be distracted by some other drama, then he returns and repeats the exact same behavior over and over while everyone with any kind of authority on this forum pretends it never happened. This is exactly why no one has any respect for ANY authority figures on this forum. Rules for thee but not for me. Then anyone who points out this double standard is a "troll" or an "idiot."

I know that definition quite well, and I try to keep it in mind in my real life and on bitcointalk, which is why I have most of the troll posse on ignore and have been trying not to engage in all of this drama--and Vod's drama here is definitely not my own.  However, I think he's doing the right thing by backing off from the insanity, which really doesn't need to be escalated any further.

I'm getting shit about some of the positive trusts I've left and for having bill gator in my trust list.  All I can say is that I'll have to agree to disagree with anyone who criticizes me about that stuff--unless the situation changes, of course, in which case I will happily re-evaluate my ratings and trust list.  Anyway, there's too much fighting and drama between both trusted and untrusted members, and it's tiresome.  I don't want to fight anymore, and I'm pretty sure Vod doesn't want to either.

TECSHARE has been on his "first exclusion ever" for at least 49 consecutive months now. 

It's obvious he wants the world to change instead of him.  Never argue with an idiot. :/
