Need DT to tag possible scammer

I was trying to buy some more BTC here:

I asked for an escrow which the OP accepted.
OP personally choose an escrow (willi9974) which i accepted.
Suddenly after the escrow was decided (by OP) he tells me that im trying to scam him via the escrow that he personally choose.


Account was created in 2013 and was on ice for 3 years until he made like 4 post on 2016.


I think overall this is quite shady and deserves a tag.

If you both agree from a third party choice (me) then I would suggest to go with DarkStar_. I have seen him to do very good job as an escrow also he is one of the key holder of the forum fund and we are talking about 500 BTC.

So there should be no question.

We already decided on an escrow who was suggested by user Toralf.

Just that right after user Torald was insuniating i would try to scam him via an "escrow link scam" - which makes no sense at all.

I think the best is to do everything on the forum, including PMs instead of email or "link scam".
You should both agree on a trusted escrow here, and discuss with PMs that include everyone.

You can send the same PM to multiple people and they see it.

I can safely recommend minerjones, Hhampuz, krogothmanhattan and OgNasty as escrows.
Make sure you are in touch with them, beware of impersonators !

Yup everything was done via pm on bitcointalk.

The escrow toralf choose was one member of the german sub.

Thus i think his bahaviour is very shady and he is probaly just trying to find someone who doesnt insists on an escrow to scam that person.

Just because you have never heard of something, that doesn't mean that it does not exist nor that it is not standard practice.

If you use an escrow you send the BTC to the escrow and after you get the Money the escrow will get the btc to the one you get the money !
Dont know whats the problem with that if he want to give you the Money in cash directly Face to Face ?

Use an escrow from the list provided by one of the user or use DarkStar_. When he reach to you then you both are seeing each others right? When you deal something face to face it's lot easier like to deal a car selling on ebay.

When criptix will see that you have the BTC (of course you have coz you will already give the coins to the escrow) and you will see criptix has the cash then while you both are there in the meeting ask the escrow to release the BTC once the money is in criptix's hand. He will do the same. This should be simple.

That does actually makes sense at the moment. What I assume is, both of them are from Europe and it hardly costs 20-30 Euros for flights that cover a distance of about 1200kms. Totally worth spending a 60-80 quid if he's risking 3.2k dollars.

Both are German and for my personal opinion if i want the Btc badly and have the cash why should not bring it or something , is the safest way ! if you have no other option to transfer money with bank account !

Sadly the the adoption in germany is not that great, so sometimes you gotta drive/fly a bit further.

Its also a great plus to make new friends and connections regarding btc.

Thats true, Nice to meet other coiners, I have many coiner friend, but recently at Liverpool finals I met the first time a forum member “LFC_bitcoin” was a great experience and awesome Guy!
