I know these rules are already put in the rules section, however for many newbies to access various parts of the forum maybe quite difficult.

They may make some mistakes which they may find small but is regarded as ban-able offense here and they get to know about the rule after they have already committed it.

1) Plagiarism.  If you visit the meta section, you will find reputed members who are "senior" or even "legendary" getting permanent banned for a plagiarised post they have made years ago when they were a newbie or didn't know all about the rules. Hence, if you have nothing to post, refrain. But don't copy paste just to increase your ranks or activity up.

2) No loan talks. Unless you have collateral. You maybe the CEO of Google. And you need $10 to buy a quick ice cream. Even if you prove you are a billionaire, you will not get a penny and a red tag because the norm here is no collateral = no loan , unless you have good reputation on the forum. Hence, build a reputation here first. And don't make your account worthless moments after creating account.

3) Other rules are probably you know or can sense, no NSFW, no alt accounts to hunt bounties, no account trading, no duplicate posts etc.

You can find the complete set of rules here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0

The last rule in the above rule set is the most common reason for getting permanent banned. Hence, avoid plagiarism at all cost. You never know, the ban will come in 2030 when mods find out for a plagiarised post you make now Smiley

Hopefully, it will help newbies to avoid the preventable offenses which they might commit being unaware. Specially, plagiarism.

I do not think so, the rules have been sticked in the meta section, and anyone who really has come here for the right reasons would find it and read it.
You can find the complete set of rules here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0
Unnecessary thread IMHO, you imported 3 out of over a fifty rules, to end up posting the entire stuff(link to the rules)
Just the link alone would have been more than enough, though I doubt it would then qualify to be a new topic.
Hopefully, it will help newbies to avoid the preventable offenses which they might commit being unaware. Specially, plagiarism.
Everyone knows plagiarism is unacceptable, be it not on the forum, but even in our everyday life, be it schools, interviews etc
You cannot take someone's work and pose it as yours feeling you're not doing anything wrong.

Frankly, many newbies (most I would say) and even me, didn't even know the meaning of "meta". When I joined first in the forum, I directly entered "beginner" section. I didn't know much rules. Then I hopped from topics to topics to learn. After a lot of days I entered "meta" and saw the rules.

I don't think it's an unnecessary thread.
If you look closely to the rules in the original thread in meta, you will see a lots of rules. But the most important rule - "plagiarism" is at the last. The most important rule is at the bottom of the list of rules.

If you break any other rules, you can always appeal and it will be decided case by case basis. But for plagiarism, you will be permanently banned. No excuse. And I thought it was important for newbies to know it.

Plagiarism is an offense everywhere, you are correct. But to the degree it is an offense here, was something I wanted to highlight. When legendary members get permanent banned for plagiarising a sentence years ago, you must acknowledge how tough this rule is and why others should be aware of it.

I'm not taking someone else's work. I just tried to highlight the importance of this one single "plagiarism" rule that is listed at the last of the rule thread yet it is the major reason for even most legendary members getting banned.

This is true, someone who just registered on the forum would not know what Meta is and why forum related content and discussions are shared in Meta.

However, there is a sticky in B&H written by Lauda and titled: Newbies - Read before posting
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.0
A link to the forum rules is posted in this sticky thread. I can't quote that part here because the thread is locked.

I still agree with you though and I think that the Forum Rules should be on top of the B&H section as well. Especially because of the Newbies.

no alt accounts to hunt bounties
This is allowed afaik. What is not allowed is abusing bounties by enrolling your main account and your alt account/s in the same campaign.

I mean to engage all alts in a single bounty... I'll update it
