Tyler Winklevoss' statement made more sense, probably implying that the bear market is over if BTC hits $10,000, hence it will likely go to $15,000. McAfee's statement though? Made no sense whatsoever. Dude's just trying to hype up bitcoin.

You have to realize that the people who understand what he is saying are tired of his words. Don't take him with a grain of salt and just ignore whatever he says. He's getting the attention of the world and now he got it and says what he wants to say. The guy sure is a bitcoin supporter but it's too much for him to handle. Actually if it really happens then everyone will enjoy it and there is nothing impossible that at the beginning of the year and until now, the price of bitcoin has risen on average in the middle of this year so I can trust the words of that person, and from the beginning the increase in bitcoin this year and we cannot deny it is not ...

Let's be honest and wait for BTC to break above $10k as said by Winklevoss and then we can even think of $100k, a million looks years ahead if you ask me.

Why?

Getting such a parabolic ride to $100k will add nothing substantial to the debate when everyone will be ready with their armed coins already filled with loads of hype, and then these guys will destroy the whole market with the army of coins gathered by them. A million should be seen IMHO, but not as easily as McAfee said because when $20k was touched, all of us thought $50k is easy. But come on, are whales sitting there just to masturbate and jerk off every time they push it one leg up? They also have a real life and they're here to take bigger profits than us.

lol. what a nonsense argument. it is like saying if it starts raining then there will be a tsunami and we all drown! just because price reaches $100k it doesn't mean it will also reach 10 times that to $1 million. don't get me wrong I do believe in $1 million price for bitcoin some day but it won't be any time soon (not until mass adoption) and it won't be just because we reached a high price like $100k.
McAfee is just trying to gain more attention again, probably because the money he scammed people during 2017 shitcoin pumps and ICO advertisements that he was involved in, is running out.

John McAfee says a lot of things! I see no reason to bank on such comments. There is an open challenge he had given which is still active. He said that if bitcoin price doesn't reach to 1 million usd by the end of 2020, he will eat his dick. Even though he is one of the most influential figure in crypto world, such useless comments certainly bring his value down!

Bitcoin reaching 1 million is a dream which will never come true! Even 100k is very very difficult! It's always better to stay close to reality!

A movement of 10x is what moves bitcoin from 10k to 100k, and from 100k to 1000k.

In the practical world there are limits based on money supply, liquid and illiquid, and total market capitalization.

If bitcoin was 1M, then you have increased the market capitalization to 17 trillion or so. But that does not mean that 17T has actually moved. The price swing is based on bidding up of the liquid bitcoins, those available for sale.

Suppose that fraction is 5 million coins, then 5 trillion must move for this to happen.

In our real and imperfect world, the practical limit to bitcoin price is likely based on mining fees. We saw how they moved when bitcoin went to 20K, fees got >30$ and >100$ USD for simple transactions.

If BTC Price > 100K, are the fees then 500USD?

If BTC price = 1M, are the fees for each transaction 5000USD?

They make blind statements without any evidences and facts and claim them to be true. If you search out in the history you can see that these people have a very bad reputation in the crypto community.

John McAfee should have been dickless by now, if he believed his on bulls#$%!  Something I quickly picked up on him is that he thrives on media attention and he likes to make controversial statement to get more media attention.

The guy was in the limelight for a while and now he is looking for the same kind of attention that he got when he was still a big shot at McAfee.    People stopped taking him seriously after his several scandals over the years.
