How is cryptocurrency trading gambling? I don't think it is.

Trading can be very close to gambling if the risks are undefined especially by the participant.   If they operate with no limits on their losses, borrow or use up money from real life activities just to pour into crypto trading then its very close to what could be described as problem gambling.

Theres nothing against normal use of casinos while staying sensible with amounts, the biggest problem almost always comes when people cannot control their money supply to a bad habit.   Then its out of control and help is needed to get back onto a positive track.
   It doesnt really count against crypto, people can become addicted to many otherwise positive activities.

Here in my country I have noticed many hospitals treating for liquor addiction and smoking addiction. For me this is very new concept hospital has been introduced treating gamblers out from the over addiction.
This good and I have came across some news gamblers loss the fund and done suicide for it instead of facing the situation.

I think this hospital that OP's talking is not really a hospital but rather a rehabilitation center for those addicted people. People that are too stress will tend to commit suicide if not treated immediately. Once someone got addicted to gambling they should immediately seek help to other people or to their closest friend. Addiction is not that easy to handle alone that's why some of the casinos have their own clinic for gambling addiction.

Trading is definitely just like gambling, you can lose all your money and it is a very risky thing to do especially for beginners.  Throw in high leverage and Bitmex is essentially just a high stakes casino with a different name.

Checking graphs once in a while is normal as far as I know... maybe categorized as a bad habit which I know helps one to make a decision to either buy or sell crypto.

That was also in my mind because that is not easy to cure with a mental illness it usually takes how many week(s) before the addicts being cured. And yes, that is not easy to cure because that is a serious illness that needs much attention, I think 1 patient needs 2 staff from hospital to assist. Well, just the first time I had heard this that there is a hospital for bitcoin gambling addicts. Probably they also accept bitcoin as payment?

Well all hospital will treat an individual with illness and that is a job of a doctor to give medicine or cure to those who are sick. This is not new actually and what is really new is about hospital accepting cryptocurrency payments. That would be good if cryptocurrency will.be adapted through establishments that will help ease doing transaction with them.

Well first I dont know why there are so many people who are finding it funny that there are hospitals for this kind of diseases 
Its like you all live in a one big perfect world where you dont have any problems or issues but its not funny to laugh at someone else mishaps.
There are hospitals for people with addictions to food and sex and drugs so of course there will be gambling too

Investing draws many parallels to gambling and it can definitely affect your physical and mental health.  I would like to see more public facilities opened for addiction where people can get treatment without paying.

The way youngsters are getting addicted to the gambling definitely it would be in for the hospitals or the psychiatric to have many such people as their patients because people want shortcut money and they think gambling is made for that.

Is that really the proper way to stop it, so because the number of addicted gamblers is on a rise, there would be increase in hospitals?  I always learnt that prevention is better than cure. Rather than investing so much money in gambling, what if another method is created to control it instead?

I am of the opinion that are still ways of controlling gamblers from getting addicted, the operators might not be interested because this is where they make money from but the government could at least make a rule that prevents this addiction rather than creating hospitals that after treating for a short period, gamblers end up going back to their old ways. I think its really not worth it.

It is a Rehab Clinic for all addictions, it is not an institution just for Bitcoin related addictions. They consider bitcoin trading a type of gambling addiction and they state that on their site.

In my opinion, any activity that earns you regular income shouldn't be considered as gambling. Besides, addiction has to do with doing fun things regularly that do not benefit you longterm. This is just my definition of addiction.

Well we have different explanation of addiction,for me this is a serious matter in not just only for enjoyment,in Philippines years back there isn’t a Gambling addict that burned down a casino killing more than a dozen of people because he losses all he owns.
And that’s the same reason why this hospital is a big help for now and most important in future since the gambling addiction grows year after year

I think we did not understand the intend of this gambling addict treatment hospital. Why should the hospital single handly focus on the bitcoin and cryptocurrency gambling and not general gambling addicts. I see this tactical attacks on cryptocurrency because it makes gambling easier and cheaper for gamblers to participate. If their intention should be take serious then they should generalized it and not only on bitcoin.

It is funny because I don't understand what they can possibly do to a bitcoin addict there,a bitcoin addict has no need to be cured.

Kind of awkward really. Why Bitcoin addicts, and why not treat addicted gamblers generally? Are there Bitcoin addicts at all. I think I need to get the name of the hospital and read more on the agenda. I have the feelings that the hospital is one of those that want the public to have bad perception of Bitcoin and make them believe it makes people suffer addiction because frankly speaking, I do not see any need for being sentimental by treating just Bitcoin addicts.

I come from a country where the unemployment rate is really high and the only way youths can keep themselves occupied and as well make money is by gambling especially when its bitcoin gambling, it might be risky but the great chances of winning plus the advantage they stand to gain if bitcoin increases makes every youth want to become a gambler automatically.

I'm referring to a hospital that has a department of treating people that is addicted to gambling. Hospitals have different kinds of doctors and psychology, so I think that it is. This is not a specific hospital for those people who are addicted, lol who will make that?

Addiction is a hard case and can't be treated easily so I might recommend you guys to stop gambling than consumed by addiction.

Let's be off, gaming addiction is already been declared as a mental disorder by WHO (World Health Organization) of UN. It's getting closer to all kinds of addiction especially on gambling. If they wanted to be treated, they should do it right now before it gets worst.

I looked up Castle Craig and it is indeed a rehab centre. We don't really need a different facility for bitcoin gambling addicts, it's simple gambling addiction. Any rehab should do.

I'm pretty sure online gambling has been around even before bitcoins. The main difference now is that we have smartphones which are by our side, always open, 24/7. Without bitcoins people would have just used their credit cards instead or some other setup. Gambling is just more accessible now.
