This is why I don't join in any airdrop especially from those sites who are not reputable.

The only XLM airdrop that is legit is from blockchain.info and nothing more for me. You can create a post regarding this kind of scams and phishing sites anytime but there will be still some newbies who will fall into this trap. Sad but true because they are newbies and they don't have any knowledge about it.
That's one reason why beginners have to fall there. Because they do not have outside knowledge and also they do have to do so in order to earn income. But in reality they don't even get income and actually get phishing or scam for participating in all existing airdrops.

This is one of the most scariest thing that may possibly happen to anyone.

According to the Webroot Threat Report, nearly 1.5 million new phishing sites are created each month and according to Intel, 97% of people around the world are unable to identify a sophisticated phishing email.

Awareness and readiness are important to counter this kind of risk.

1. Keep Informed About Phishing Techniques

2. Think Before You Click!

3. Install an Anti-Phishing Toolbar

4. Verify a Site’s Security

5. Check Your Online Accounts Regularly

6. Keep Your Browser Up to Date

7. Use Firewalls

8. Be Wary of Pop-Ups

9. Never Give Out Personal Information

10. Use Antivirus Software

Always we need to check the domains what we are entering into to save our login info and also bookmarking them will save us.

Still we need to do lot like use the browser with high security and never use any browser from Cheetah mobile which steals all the user details and selling them.

This is essentially for those who are new to the space, that they do not fall prey to cheap scams. The above ad seem to be very popular on facebook, a mimic, requesting you to fill the form and make some deposits to claim your rewards. That's is the scam part. The legit site is https://www.coinmama.com/ and NOT coinmama.com.ru. I am sure those who made deposit will not get anything  out of it as it obviously mimicking another popular site. Just be careful.
Any contrary opinion is welcome for discussion pls.

Well, anyone who is wise should already know that this is a huge scam. First of all they claim. To be giving away free cryptos and then they tell those who register to deposit money before they are given their free cryptos… so how does that even make any sense. You tell someone to register so they can get a free crypto, then you expect them to then deposit and after depositing, they will be given free crypt is and they can then withdraw their money and the free money as well… that just doesn't make any sense. And btw… free air drops should be asking people to first of all deposit money before they are given anything. That's why I don't even show interests to things like this, not to talk of giving any information about myself to them.

If you are a newbie in this space, one of the best things you can do is learn to bookmark, just like there are numerous genuine projects out there, there are many scammers too aiming to relieve people of their hard earned cash so we have to always take precautions.

We all have to be extremely careful of the websites we visit and most importantly, do not use Google to search for links to financial websites, always bear in mind that every transaction for make is irreversible as long as it has been mined.

And stop searching for wallets on google because it's known that google also allows these phishing sites to avail their boost ad. Those ads that will come out as result of what you are looking for because of the keyword but if you are not too curious enough of learning what that site is, you can fall as a victim.

My mail is almost every time spammed with different messages containing links, which are most times called unsolicited messages.
If you cannot remember and confirm where it is coming from, it is better to just ignore it, because it might be a phishing site.

Always watch out of any kinds of phishing. Sometimes, phishing and scam really bring very nice ideas, from popular sites, with very worthy rewards. However, we must be more careful. Always check and recheck all information related to the promotion, programs, and also rewarding activities in order to avoid phishing and scams.
This information is very important and thanks to letting us know about it early  Wink

I also noticed that most of scams are now in the form of giveaways. When I look at Binance twitter account, it's full of those scammers comments that testify using their fake accounts claiming they have received a lot of bitcoin or whatever coin is popular and they even pop up in CZ's twitter account. Those scammers know ICO or airdrop is not going to give them free money anymore so this is the best that they can do and that is the promo and giveaway scams.

Scams like this are very disturbing to many people. And I think already a lot of people are stuck in a scam. This site offers a pretty good profit but you don't get tempted. Stay alert to all potentially fraudulent sites.

Actually this kind of strategy is very obvious and totally fake and in fact this is the common strategy of some scammer to catch some fish around the internet, wherein they just provide a big amount in order to convince ppl to join and to put money on it easilly and then will disappear afterwards. Lol

if someone fell on this kind of manner then they're very stupid and noobs.!

Instead of using Google, Duckduckgo will do everything that Google search does. I already froze my google account and protected my privacy. Google advertising sites are not safe and these phishing sites use the Google ads for promotion.
Yes, they use google ads and google doesn't care if its a phishing site. Not just with those kind of sites but also there are scam sites like HYIP and cloud mining that have been using google ads to boost their search results.
Many are disappointed on how google is tackling this issue, looks like they are not serious with the community's concern.

Thanks for sharing this though, this is one of the ways these scammers use to lure poeple into their traps especially crypto starters who just joined this industry. Also, i know there are legitimate giveaways out there especially on https://cryptoadventure.org but let's not be greedy as it this is the only way that makes people fall for such cheap schemes.

It is good information. We must be careful when going to join certain airdrop or reward program. As in this case, they use "Coinmama" site fake in order to do phishing and this is totally interesting. If we are not careful enough, we will really consider that it is a very legit airdrop program that must be followed.

Just ignore such messages. Nothing is free in this world and if somebody promises free Bitcoin or Ethereum, just leave such guys aside and keep working to achieve your goals. Never answer somebody on Telegram and delete fraud emails.

The issue of scam airdrop are getting popular this days. The aspect of making payment for tokens is rather very daft, as most people participating in airdrops are in need of funds. My major fear as regards airdrop is the possibility of installing spywares which are very harmful and gives the hacker access to one's private information.
