This is Jet Cash posting

I registered the alt name Baronets because that is the trading name for my domain management business. I felt that I needed the extra name for the following reasons.
  • I want to promote the use of Bitcoin for domain name sales
  • I would like to introduce new users of Bitcoin to the Bitcoin Talk forum
  • I hope to protect the trade name
  • I feel that my reputation here could help with domain transfers elsewhere

I wanted to comply with the rules and customs of the community, so I took the following steps.

  • Jet Cash gave this account a neutral comment to declare the connection
  • I registered a Bitcoin address associated with the account as a security measure
  • I posted in the alt thread on the reputation board to confirm the association, but this was deleted
  • I will add a comment to the displayed profile as soon as I am able to.

What other steps should I take? I don't understand why my alt declaration post was deleted, surely this is the most important action. I'm posting as Baronets to build a minimal post count, as I believe this is required to provide the viewable profile entry.

Baronets is a private domain management service owned by Jet Cash.

I don't think there's any procedure on that, but you have done more than enough.
Staked address (it could be a signed message tho, so you can easily recover the acc if something happens), stated that it's your alt in the trust feedback. Soon TimeLord will add you to his list with Alts. This should be quite enough but I think you just created a nice  guidelines for the newbies Smiley

Are you the same person who created an alt account for the sole purpose of talking about merit?

Yes - that is Talk Merit, but merit has died down a bit as a topic, so I don't use that much now. The English language project is still active though.

Actually alts can be a bit of a nuisance. For example, it is against the rules for me to post in this thread as Jet Cash if the post is close to a Baronets post, so I have to keep changing my login to reply. If I need to make any more posts, I'll login using Firefox - I'm using Brave at the moment.

Does anyone know when you can add a profile comment these days? Is it a rank thing, or is it activity/time limited?

Thats where you edit to get a bit of text under your avatar. I'm not sure if its rank restricted though, but you can give it a check.

You've done plenty with regards to alt transparency. People don't have an issue with alt accounts, they have an issue with people self escrowing or self bidding on auctions and such. Having two sets of PM inboxes, one for personal and one for business is pretty understandable.

There is no official procedure. Whether you want to publicly declare alt accounts or not is entirely up to you. Some people have accounts that they'd wish to keep private for whatever reasons and some make them publicly known. Either is fine but most people only have an issue with secretive alts when they're used for nefarious activity (trolling, scamming, abusing giveaways/campaigns or whatever), but as per the forum rules you can have as many accounts as you want regardless of whether you tell everyone about them or not. Usually for being transparent with them neutral feedback is what people tend to do and I think this is probably the best way so I don't think you need to do anything else.

You've done more than enough. If you want to make it easier on yourself you could create a Jet Cash reputation thread. Keep the OP updated with a list of Alts you wish to disclose, and links to staked addresses if you like. It's by no means necessary, and you clearly aren't here to abuse the system with Alts you just might find it useful down the road.

You don't have to but it will be a solid proof that you actually control the account:- Sign a message from one of the oldest staked address from the Jet_Cash account and either publicly post it for verification or ask a DT member to verify it. After they verify your signed message, they can leave a neutral trust to confirm that alt account is in your control.

I should add to this Jet Cash sent me a message from one of his messaging servers to say that this was his account.

He's also held the domain and I think I'm registered on it's forum (I'm everywhere)

Any address used to transact with me will be proven by me also as I'll be able to identify the trails of all of them back to my addresses.

There isn't really a reason to claim you have alts, nothing really happens if you don't unless you start scamming people. It's up to you whether you declare them, nothing will happen if you don't.

I think you can add personal text when you are a Jr. Member

If you want to make it easier on yourself you could create a Jet Cash reputation thread.
he did create one but using Baronets as OP, but it was deleted by mod
maybe he needs to use Jet Cash as a thread starter and declares any alts he wanted to disclose

Baronets is the Jet Cash domain management service

I think I'll create a page on Jet Cash that lists all my activities on forums and the associated alts. The problem with this is that some forums ban you if you post a link to a page that mentions another forum. This is why I was banned from the Kitco gold forum, I put a link to my Jet Cash home page, and this contains a banner for Bitcoin Talk. I need to cut back on my activities, as I'm trying to do too many things at the moment, and I'm not doing any of them well. Thank goodness Bitcoin is managing to increase in value without my help. Smiley

I feel sad for Kitco, as they talk absolute b***ocks about crypto, and I tried to clarify a couple of points for their members.

You've done more than enough to show that you have an alt account. Although, this isn't really expected as many users on this forum have a undeclared alternate account. The majority of them have alt accounts to avoid controversial opinions affecting their services/businesses. Just because you or anyone else has an alt account, doesn't mean it's malicious right from the get go. There's legitimate reasons for a alt account that you don't have to declare if you don't want too. That's a big reason why alt accounts are allowed here I imagine.
