I don't see anywhere overstock.com mentioning that they accept crypto currencies as a form of payment. Again, most of the sites are not directly accepting bitcoin or any other crypto currencies as a form of payment. You will have to use third party sites where they will make the payment on your behalf and you pay them with crypto currencies. Again, you can also do those indirectly by buying gift cards with bitcoin and spending those gift cards.

It doesn't matter how easy or cheap Bitcoin (or basically any other crypto) is to use. People in this space have a hoard/hodl mentality where they know that spending coins today is likely going to be a mistake tomorrow.

This year functions as perfect example. If you spend your coins at any time up to yesterday, you lost big time. Today alone the price has gone up by 15% which just shows how this can't work as day to day currency at this stage.

Money should be spent without thinking about the value today or tomorrow. Centralized stablecoins seem to have an edge over Bitcoin in that aspect and I don't see this change any time soon.

It is nice to hear that Bitcoin is now be accepted as a currency or as a mode of payment for goods and services. Many sites are now accepting Bitcoin and I am seeing this as a great development. Even though bitcoin has came a long way in terms of acceptance, but it is still hard to find places or at least some of the major retailers that we are used to go to everyday for our needs still don't accept it, that is why we still feel that bitcoin has sill a long way to make before being accepted, you might be able to go to some place and pay with bitcoin in the US but in other countries that is still not not the case, and for that to change i believe that major online shops like amazon and eBay should start accepting so that we can say that bitcoin is widely accepted.

There are only few businesses in my place where they fully accept cryptocurrency so we can’t sat yet that you can buy anything with bitcoin, it is still not sufficient. I am Romanian. In my country when buying food (or goods) I can pay with cash, I can pay with credit card or I can pay with a phone that has NFC (and money) on it.
  I can buy on the internet some products with PayPal (from ebay, and from other Romanian stores) or I can withdraw PayPal to a bank account or to a card. I am using bitcoin to pay now and then on the internet, or I am withdrawing bitcoin to PayPal (with Coinbase) or I consider using a Bitcoin ATM to withdraw cash.

We are gradually letting go of fiat currency. The world is shifting into a cashless community. People are starting to spend with cards and crypto. However, crypto spending is much lesser than card spending. There are several reasons. For example, Bitcoin is not that widely accepted yet. It's possible to realize that, there are 3rd parties who will bridge to make that possible if bitcoin is still not fully acceptable in your country.
