The BTC prices are being manipulated, what do the market makers have in mind?

All the bitcoin whales who are artificially inflating the bitcoin prices (of course it is happening, what kind of naive fool are you to think otherwise?), what's your plan for the top prices we will see on this wave?

We jumped from $4000 to $12000 pretty damn quickly and easily this market cycle, it took 6+ months to do this in 2017.  And we are not yet seeing local tv news stories about bitcoin prices, things that would get the general publics' interest and cause un-coin-educated fools to mortgage their houses and buy in at ATH prices like last time.

So I think we will be looking at price tops in the $30-$50 K range over the next 6-8 months.  And since alt coins tended to trail BTC to their ATH prices in the last market cycle by a month or so, and I am invested in alts, I am hoping for some huge price gains.

To those of you who are making / manipulating the current market prices - Ethereum, Litecoin, Stellar, Tron, Cardano, XRP, and EOS.  Those are the coins that I need to see HHHUUUGGGEEE price increases in to make a sizable profit.  I'm looking for at least a 15X gain in each one, please.  If each one gets pumped and dumped one at a time, that's okay, just PM me here and let me in on the plans so I can make maximum profits.

Nobody can exactly tell you whats happening behind the scene but current massive everyday pump on price seems artificial. On the other hand, few big hedge funds might be funneling billions of dollar in cryptomarket which might create another bubble like last time followed by FOMO among other normal investor.

Like me many might suggest to keep half of your fund in fiat to not miss out buying opportunity when there will be correction which is quite likely.

Manipulation is allow in every market and Bitcoin being manipulated by the market makers is normal thing. What we just needs to do is be in the same directions the market is facing and what the market maker are doing in other to be able to make profits. In 2017, when I came into this market it was like someone is taking advantage of the ignorant of other traders and lack of big capital to enrich themselves but I late find out that the only way to make it big is to find out the activities of the whales of market makes to do what they are doing in the long run.

If the big whales have group up and they decide to manipulate the price of bitcoin then it will be possible but if they are not in group then there is a very little chance that they can manipulate the bitcoin price.

Other currencies are following the price increase of bitcoin so maybe in the following months if the price will continue to increase then we can say like we can gain x10 profit from our investment.

If there was manipulation fine, but I don't think that the price increase is hitting the market quite soon. Price has been down and quite due for a turn around. This like a year & six months we last experienced something as this.

Whales can’t manipulate everything, they are just also riding the hype and since the hype is on bitcoin they are investing more on that, but we can expect that altcoins will pump also just wait for the whales to do that. Price manipulation is happening, and we can’t stop or fight that trend its better to ride than to go on another way.

Well, I've always said to the people complaining about this inflation that it works both ways. I certainly don't recall people complaining about whales and manipulators in the last bull run, so it does help explain the lack of whining in this current period as well (unless you're a nocoiner).

But if it's true it works both ways, then remove them from the whole formula and you remove them from both sides of the equation... ending up more or less at parity.

These üneducated fools you talk about also come in cycles. both at the peak and at the bottom. Those who mortgage their homes to buy at ATH, and subsequently cut their losses near the bottom. Whales benefit the most, but so do the average guys who actually know to hold.

What do the market makers have in mind, you ask? Why not pose the question to the market takers?

Now regarding alts... 15x from which point? Their 2019 bottom?

Are you kidding? What kind of 15x gain do you mean, do you really believe those coins will get so much pump? And who do you think manipulates price? Is that person here and will PM you? Btw the part which I put in bold is sad truth, when people see price rises, they do silly movements and there were really some people on reddit who sold house and bought all money in bitcoin when price was 20K, that's insane and sad fact at the same time because some people use their stories to create bad imaginary around bitcoin and make it look bad. Whether current price is manipulated or not, I think it's good in overall for community and one argument against your opinion is that there is very positive feeling among people, so this current rise doesn't need any manipulation.

Very well-said. I hope those people who are buying bitcoin right now are not driven by some rumours but they really believe the capability of bitcoin. Long-time crypto users who really believed on bitcoin are now satisfied what is happening in the btc market. Some people will say - "I told you so". I think we are heading in a very good direction in the coming months. And will have more adoption to follow because of this market performance.

Seem very unusual to see the spike this sharp but I have to see the reason why. People are starting to feel the FOMO after the news about Facebook's libra. Its all manipulated as what it seem but this ain't just the work of the traders here but several people outside bitcointalk are trying to accumulate as much BTC in preparation. If it's going to be dumped soon, it will be put into the altcoins, check it because once BTC dips a bit, the marketcap doesn't change but the altcoins are rising.

You have to remember that we have suffered a long bear market. Obviously, investors are just waiting for the right time to pour their money again. So in April we have a influx of money coming from some entity that started all this bullish sign. If there is manipulation then obviously lots of people have taken the bait. But seems everyone is enjoying it and making money so I guess it's a win-win. Plus there are a lot of positive news as well, so I don't know if manipulation is the real cause of the massive pump you describe or investors are buying the news.

Disregarding whales activity, you should understand how volatility in crypto works.

You overthink too much because maybe you are disappointed on how your hold altcoins are performing right now or suffered a big loss right now.

It's already $13,700. So yeah, I would really think market manipulation by whales is existing and happening now. Most of the margin traders are being liquidates and did not expect the continuous bull run. The market is overbought and exhausted. I did not see this coming actually. Anyway, long term investors are now celebrating for sure.

Like OP, I've also noticed that while bitcoin is at bull run, some altcoins are still in red. We are all expecting them to be at green, too right?

My plan is to buy as much ETH and LTC as possible when the price of the BTC is adjusted when it gets too high. I believe that the value of ETH will increase to $ 450 soon in Q3.
I think that when the value of the BTC has been manipulated up to $ 15k, the whales will start selling their BTC and buying other big ones like Bitcoin cash, ETH, LTC and then again manipulating prices Its higher.

Too many people nowadays use manipulation as a way to explain their own bad trading performance, but the truth is that really doesn't matter much in the end you shouldn't worry about any manipulation too much at all.

Things will continue to happen as they have, and overleveraged traders will continue to get shaken out and liquidated. As for altcoins, they'll start to rise soon. ETH has already broken over $300 and is continuing up.

We don't know if the bitcoin price has been manipulated or not but the truth, bitcoin price now has to increase higher and many people were happy to see this. They can sell their bitcoin right now, and I am sure some of them has already made much money from bitcoin, and they still recover their losses until now. This situation is almost the same as what we saw in 2017-2018 ago, and the price has risen higher in a short time, and at that time, people are selling their bitcoin.
