Is it possible that in future Bitcoin will connect to PayPal?
PP is not that much regulated by government, all they care about is profit so I personally think it may happen.
That'd be huge revolution, PayPal would introduce Bitcoin to the world.

What you think about it?

From where you got that? Paypal is heavily regulated like any other payment processor, but Paypal is pro active and well above all others. Paypal will never implement Bitcoin in its system. Why including something 'pseudo-anonymous' while their motto is strongly avoiding, money laundering and so on. Maybe a 3rd Party will use Paypal (like Coinbase tried) but not vice versa

As  LeGaulois stated, PayPal is an actual bank.

There are very profitable as is, and have no real incentive to do anything in relation with bitcoin.

Actually doing so would force them to be more strict regarding regulations and such due to hard legislations on bitcoin.

If there is no deal for them to make, it won't happen. Easy.

Not sure why you even think this OP, paypal wants nothing to do with bitcoin.  Also if you have a dispute in regards to a crypto transaction you will never win it.

This may progress in the future since they both share the same aspect and that is to avoid any government involvement in their transactions.

It can be possible since some other business are already accepting bitcoin and yet they are regulated by the government. If Paypal wont adopt cryptocurrency then I guess its time for Utrust to dominate the market, using their own technology and can really beat Paypal if ever. There are some good project that works like paypal, so there's nothing to worry about that and the future is still ok for cryptocurrency.

bitcoin will not "connect" to anything ever, specially when that thing is 100% centralized. the only thing that can happen is if that centralized service (in this case Paypal) started adopting bitcoin themselves and accepted it in their platform.
in this case Paypal will some day start letting people convert their paypal dollars to bitcoin and vice versa because they will have no other choice if they want to stay in the game. but it will happen many years from now when we are closer to mass adoption.

of course that is so possible, PayPal is digital currency but not cryptocurrency because it don't use blockchain technology.
if Bitcoin can connecting with PayPal that mean we are more and more closer to the time when cryptocurrency can use in real world.
let's see what the future waiting for us.

Bitcoin and PayPal is have a different system, so i think that is impossible to make it connected.
it all is same digital currency but PP is wallet for real currenct and Bitcoin is once of cryptocurrency.
Bitcoin is using blockchain technology and PayPal is not using it, so how can it connected.
it is impossible for me.

This is the most stupid statement I've read for a long time on this forum.
OP,are you a complete newbie or what?
It would be better for the crypto community to stay away from corporations like PayPal.A lot of noobs might be excited to use PP,just because they've implemented crypto(which will never happen in the real world),but all PP wants is complete control over digital payments. This is against our believes.

paypal is going to use libra soon. because of regulations i don't think they would integrate btc in their system, but if libra goes to exchanges this will be a way to convert money from paypal to btc

PayPal is as regulated as any other payment processor, credit card company, banks,... can be regulated but that is not a reason for why or why not adopt bitcoin for them. I believe they will first create their own cryptocurrency just like what Facebook did and will try to compete but fail in a very short time (like less than 3 years) and then they will all eventually do that because that is the direction in which the world is going with or without them.

PayPal is a payment processor and they are knee deep into partnerships with Banks, so why would we team up with the competition and why would PayPal risk their partnership with Banks <Credit card companies> to partner up with Bitcoin?

The other problem is that most countries does not define Bitcoin as a currency, so there will be regulatory challenges too, if they did that and they will use this as an excuse not to do this.  Tongue

Thats pretty much what I meant.
PayPal may even become some kind of crypto wallet.
Who knows, maybe in like 10 years world won't use fiat but cryptocurriences only, so PayPal and other companies will have to accept this in order to "stay in the game".

No way. Bitcoin is decentralized. So no one can control it. But if Paypal wants to integrate with BTC, it may happen. But there will be no connection between them.

Actually I don't agree with you. If your idea were true, everything went bad. This would hurt Bitcoin so much.

PayPal might be a private company but it still needs authorizations from governments and central banks, since it is linked to your bank account, i really think in a situation where cryptocurrency becomes a trend and a lot of people start using them, PayPal will just create their own coin just like Facebook is doing right now and the same as probably all the other companies, but in a situation where bitcoin becomes accepted i don't see why they won't some other banks and payment systems are already doing it like Neteller.

They are already getting linked. It is no secret that traders have used paypal to trade crypto for a long time, almost as soon as BTC started taking off in 2012.. but now PayPal is in talks with Libra to be part of the founding 28 companies. So this is their direct entry into the crypto space.

In that way, you could technically convert your BTC to Libra, and then go from Libra to PayPal (if supported), so it's definitely going to make things easier. I doubt it'll be possible to go from PayPal back to Libra though, due to risks of fraud.

Says who?

The fact that paypal wants to run a Libra node means they want to make money with it, as an investment. It doesn't mean by any mean that they will support that currency itself on their banking service.
