I open this topic to signal and warn people that this exchange are thieves, my account has been frozen by what a duplicate has been discovered.

but I wanted to close it, so I propose to support these incompetants of bittrex to close it so that the problem is solved.

they refused and they asked me for 3 selfies to unlock my account, i told them that I will not take this step and that I will prefer quit this exchange and definitively close my account.

i ask them i of refund me of my some money and they have refused to resend my money.

these bastard do not want refund my money they are big scammer and they have rob me, so if any one have a account from those be carrefull if they freez your account they will not refund you if you dont submitt their fucking selfies like a criminal.

That was maybe 2 years ago. I haven't managed to get my coins back since them.

in the past, they froze account of many people without early warning. guess what was the argument to freeze accounts of many people? the TOS. These exchanges are hiding from TOS when they are anonymous and not even licensed. this TOS will not be very useful in court because it can be changed at any time without even knowing users. I'm not a lawyer but I think if a lot of people start opening court cases against these exchanges, they're going to start behaving well.

Maybe you should've read their Terms of Service before you started using them.

I'm not entirely sure what happend to OP, but i also got my account locked without prior warning, back in 2017 it first happend on bittrex, and after some time poloniex followed.

Even if it was stated somewhere in their TOS that they could lock any account for any reason (Which i don't think was at the time, and i doubt that that's legal anyway), it still is completely untrustworthy behavior to do this without prior warning to your customers to give them a chance to withdraw.

It's not like i'm going to submit anything at this point either;

This is not the first time Bittrex has had KYC-related issues. Earlier, during the market peak, the exchange had troubles with leaked passport information, apparently from sending out passport files through unencrypted email. KYC procedures were hastily adopted, and users have expressed concern that some of the operators were inadequate or unprofessional. Additionally, fears of information abuse, selling and using passport data to create multiple accounts have been mentioned on social media.

yes but i have contact the sec, but they have said me you are not resident of usa so you must deposit a complaint in your country, and lawyer is so priced, but i know so many peoples have had problem with coinbase and kraken but so much people are not usa resident so may be they cant deposit a complaint in their country against them or this would not help much.

i know this crap exchanges will pay one day because they have no rules, they made what they want and customers are not refunds for losting.

everything is obscure and no one controls what they do, but this will turn against them when they will back to wall.

This is not the first claim that has been made my users against Bittrex,  What I find strange is the fact they ask for selfies what use would they be anyway not like you submit one when you signed up to there exchange so why would they need this what purpose would it server them if they have no "original" reference.

I have the same issue with Binance and a lost 2fa they refuse remove my 2FA until I submit them photo's and government issued ID which is not happening.

I think we all supported the wrong exchanges in the past my advice from now on is to stick to DEX markets this way you can ensure no need for KYC.

I think we are about to see the next collapse of some exchanges either from "hacking" or insider exit scams.

You misunderstood me I am saying it makes no sense for them to ASK for photo's if they have no Reference IE passport at signup to compare it to.
Stand your ground with them ask them for there company information including trading address and company references my only other advice would be seek legal advice over this.

If they have your money and won't give back you have re-course but would require advice from legal advisor.

Stand your ground if they did not request ID at sign up they should not be asking for it now if it's a change of service terms they MUST first inform you the customer.

as harsh as this may sound but if u want ur money back u have to "be their bitch" besides since u use that platform i will guess that u already did the KYC process right ? then why not sending additional selfies..
anyway u do have a point here they may have the power to lock ur account but they def cant take your funds away, so as i said before go make some noise in their official channels and they will have to respond eventually

They have your money. They have your funds. No choice but to accept what they asked for.

I know it's a bit stupid to provide them KYC but you can put all your anger at one big shot after you finally received your funds. That's the most important thing, communicating with them nicely so that they won't be annoyed at you. Then after the case was done, then spread shit about them anywhere. Being a hot-headed won't help. That's the reality today of using an exchange service.

no  I understand you, may be i bad answer, this foking exchanges are scamer they know just to eat your money in fees, you have all right dex is better than this shity of exchanges, they  attracts noobs in crypto  with their fake volum and IEO, their listing of coin for wich they have racket the projects and dumped on their place.

i knwo centralised exchange are no good, i just wanted buy some coin and they have trap me, it is always like that because they want you lose for you become their slave, like casino.

i withdrawal the major part of my coin of bittrex before these bitch freez my account, it rest some dollars, so this isn't a money question only a matter of principle, i will not process at their KYC of shit because they want humiliate me, they must refund me and let me withdraw my fund before closed this one, they have no other way for me.
