Trezor using a usb hub

Can somebody tell me if the Trezor 1 can be use when connected to a usb hub? I've read (can't find where) that some are having difficulty and that it needs to be connected directly to a usb port on the computer. True?

You should not use a USB hub. I have seen a few messages on their Telegram channel indicating that the device won't be recognized properly.

The Trezor wiki doesn't recommend using USB hubs.

Note: It is recommended to plug Trezor device directly to your computer instead of using a USB hub.

It should work, but it adds risk. If your hub doesn't deliver clean power, it could glitch. If your hub doesn't deliver clean data, it could glitch.

For most of the stuff you do, a glitch won't mean much. Just unplug, replug and try again.

If your doing a FW update though, there is a very narrow window that could cause you some very serious grief.

To conclude, you can use it through a USB hub but why risk running into problems?! Connect it straight to your PC to avoid potential hiccups.
