lately too many experts are talking about bitcoin. they have their own views on prices and marketcaps. but when bitcoin fell yesterday none of them said that bitcoin was good or otherwise. so forget what they say. they only want to make a profit when prices are rising.

it's one of the most conservative bitcoin bull predictions i've seen. 5.5 years away and he's only expecting price to rise 4-5x from here. if we make a new ATH within the next year, i'd be surprised if we didn't reach $1 trillion market cap by the end of 2020.

It is not a big surprise that the next rally would take the market to the one trillion market cap and the bitcoin market is just beginning its journey as the rest of the financial investment market are well above the trillion mark and i hope it will sustain those levels for the long run after reaching those milestones, it is an interesting time for the market and time will tell whether all our predictions were true  . From zero to billion and the next target is trillion.

It's a safe bet. I think that these perma bulls are realizing that predicting ridiculous price levels isn't helping them to gain any recognition, therefore play it safe and increase the probability of being right.

News outlets don't care-- the moment we see Bitcoin's market cap hit a trillion dollar, they will refer to this guy as the expert who correctly predicted this move. I'm quite sure that this is what these people are after.

I remember how CNBC last year referred to Ran Neuner as the expert who correctly predicted the price to drop a lot, while this guy was just blindly guessing. His second prediction was far off because he ran out of luck.

Try to check more info about this guy, so it seems he is a crypto writer after all, he publishes article at coindesk, (https://www.coindesk.com/author/willywoo). Read his previous post and see if you can call him "expert".

But I would agree that this is a conservative estimates and very safe predictions. Probably we might hit that goal by 2021-2022, slowly gain after the halving and then a significant growth last quarter or first quarter of 2022.

Here's a page of him describing himself. It looks like he's a permabull, so it's likely he's not just feeding into the hype. Either way, it's very middle of the road as far as predictions go, and articles like this indicate that he's not one of those mouthpieces who disparage Bitcoin when it's convenient.

Right now, the exchange rate of Bitcoin is $12,644 per coin and the market cap is $225 billion. That means that if BTC market cap has to rise to $1 trillion, then the exchange rate should be somewhere around $56,000 per coin. And if the current trends continue, then we may get that price by 2020, after the block reward halving. I don't think that we need to wait till 2025.

Well, it is definitely not impossible for Bitcoin to reach a $1 Trillion Market Cap, but I would not put my reputation on the line to predict a specific time-frame for this to happen. It is also not a good idea to believe predictions like this, that are coming from a person that are bullish about Bitcoin.

How can a person be biased in his statements, if he has loads of money and time invested in this technology. Do you think Warren Buffet would say anything bad about Berkshire Hathaway Inc... if most of his wealth is determined by the success of this holding company?

I think we have to realize that only 1% of the forum reads the title and understands it,,, and that only half of that 1% reads the OP in full,,, and that only half of that much read the first and last page of responses!

If we take 325B market cap and multiply by 3, we get 1 trillion. $20k ATH x 3 = $60k Bitcoin. And everyone is predicting even 100k or 1M!

His prediction is a very realistic one. He is not dishing out wild imaginations (such as the $1 million per coin claim from John McAfee). Right now BTC is nearing $250 billion market cap, and another 4x rise is definitely possible within the next 5-6 years. If you ask me, I would say that it will happen even before that. We can trust Willy Woo much more than either Warren Buffet, Jim Rodgers or John McAfee.

One trillion in market cap would value bitcoin at around 55,350 USD. ( 12300*4,5)
Not so outrageous as other people and " big persons"  and self proclaimed specialists often say - from few hundred thousand to million usd.

Well the previous cycle saw the entire cryptocurrency market capitalization exceed $800 billion, however, I think projecting the market cap of BTC alone to hit the 1trillion dollar mark is a very optimistic price projection. Since I mostly trade on fundamentals, I like the fact that many people are optimistic about the price of bitcoin at the end of this cycle.

more like wrong than "conservative". a conservative prediction is saying it will reach $50k after halving in the year 2020, and it is conservative because it is a small rise above the previous ATH rather than a big one like we have so far seed happen after the block reward halvings. even if we follow half the previous trend the price should still be a lot higher than that.

i think it'll easily go beyond $50k in the next bubble---probably in the next year or so. but admittedly our single decade of price data (and two past block halvings) is a very small data set. past performance doesn't guarantee future returns and all that. i won't call it wrong until a few more years have passed and this is all hindsight. until then we're all just practicing our crystal ball reading skills.

Very, very conversative I believe. In my prediction, that 5 year is already enough to see btc having a $1m value. I also agree that $1 trillion is already within our grasp because I remember that when it happened before, btc is just on $20k and now the price is already $13k. $2 trillion is the most realistic prediction for the marketcap before this year closes.

anyone can claim how much bitcoin price or bitcoin caps on the future. But at the end the market will move by it self. the demand , and many news will drive bitcoin to new level price or it will bw down
