If people would stop feeding the troll they would all fall off into oblivion very quickly and most folks wouldn't even know this troll.  It appears that some of the other trolls in P&S enjoy chatting with him like they are having some kind of rational debate and discussion about reality, so fuck it let the trolls circle jerk each other all they want IMO!

Is that the main reason why you keep on creating a lot of topics on the politics section? I am actually annoyed by it. At some point the politics section is actually more clean than the other section which means that atleast the mods is doing his job.

At the moment I'm writing this there are 5 topics with no replies and the other have barely reached the 5-15 area even if they are 3 days old. It's either that the trolls have serious diabetes or whatever STD those topics carry.

While there's certainly a great deal I could question about your post, I'll stick with this part for the sake of brevity.

Imagine the roles were reversed and the OP was the owner of these boards and someone posted page after page of largely the same thoughts or ideas, to the point where a majority of the recent topics were theirs and the sheer volume of posts is starting to drown out other users.  Are you telling me they wouldn't want to prune some of the more egregious repeats?  Maybe let some other users get a word in edgeways?  Where would you draw the line on consecutive multiposting?

It's not about trying to "silence" the OP, it's about making sure they aren't making so much noise that it effectively silences other users.

It's why they're called "moderators" and not "silencers".  They moderate discussion to keep it fair and open.

Not really, else we'd have child boards for how to earn merits, account recovery/ban appeals, and how evil Lauda is.  Theymos is very slow to act on stuff like this, though I know you're joking about having a child *no pun intended* board for pedophilia.
