With the restricted access and withdrawal and probably no trading on exchange, Libra possibly may not have any impact on the price of bitcoin. It could be just another bongo token. But it has popularised the word cryptocurrency to the world. The news about Libra are making a topic even in local news outlets in my country. It was even asked in a quiz contest on a national level TV show. So, its making cryptocurrencies popular.

its a digital goldrush. if there isn't the coming of halving and libra, the price of btc could be less than $5k still. if i have the money i'd be spending it all to btc as investment. this coin has proven it many times, it would just be pointless to spend it to libra as it would be available for anyone if he has the btc. libra anyway is a stablecoin so there is nothing to worry about it for a traders view.

For my own opinion bitcoin will remain its dominance against libras, I dont see any reason that libra will affect bitcoin price. Bitcoin will affect libra price instead.

If Libra has a big influence on the bitcoin market, then the Libra rating should be bigger than bitcoin and we can say Libra is the new king. But here I don't agree with that, yesterday's fall in bitcoin prices was purely a trump criticism of bitcoin.

Yes, I am sure Libra will indeed comply with all banking regulations and rules in the US like other banks. And the trump cannot say that libra is not a currency, as long as libra complies with all banking policies, libra is worthy of being called a currency, so now we just wait until the libra is launched.

The publication that bitcoin receives because of libra is what hyped up the whole community. we can't deny that fact because people and media are always talking about libra and making people curous about cryptocurrency even so many cryptocurrency website are talking about this as one of reasons as to why bitcoin is on bullish.

In my opinion the release of Libra had a positive effect on the price of Bitcoin because Libra has a lot of haters.
There are many people who don't like Facebook and Libra. Because of that they state the one and real cryptocurrency will always be bitcoin and Libra has not any place in the market. This affects bitcoin price positively.

What Libra impact ? Did Revolut impact bitcoin ? Let's look at the charts. Revolut was founded Jul 1^st 2015. What happened to bitcoin at the time ? ...NOTHING !
And let's be honest, when did Trump became this worldwide financial trading guru that we all look up to ? Unless he decides to ban bitcoin usage in US there is nothing he can say to impact btc price IMO.

Bitcoin has a pending bull run even without Libra. Libra, if it has any effect to the price of Bitcoin, it was definitely not negative. Libra pushes the idea of Bitcoin into the minds of people who never ever thought of cryptocurrency as a real money. When Libra started talking about it, the millions and millions of Facebook fanatics all over the world suddenly came into a realization that indeed cryptocurrency is real. And when people start to get themselves more familiar with crypto, Bitcoin is the face they can see first.

In essence on the cryptocurrency subject towards other people, especially the ones who just discovered it and knew nothing about it, it’s going to be a challenge knowing that they wouldn’t be easily believing in it. It’s just the thing, everyone knows what Facebook is, and some of the people have access to them or whatnot. It’s quite easy to use that as the center of information with regards to anything, and it’s also why it’s easy to take advantage of the social media outbursts. Like create a piece of false news with it, it’s easy once you have hit the right subject on the article or something.

Nevertheless, cryptocurrency is quite old news, especially with the last 2017-2018 ATH of Bitcoin. They are now faced with a new type of cryptocurrency aligned with the biggest social media giant. That had an impact for sure, and we will not be sure on for how long. That’s just how much we are involved with the information spreading and how it powerful it has become.

There are a lot of news with regarding Libra and we just have to wait and watch.

I am not that affected by this since we all know that this will not be released. 

Why are we sticking all our heads to what might happen to the release of Libra? To be honest, there are a lot of great projects where coins are far more greater than Libra, no hype at all about that. People earned a lot of money through those projects, and I think far more earnings that can Libra do if it will be released but I don't think it will be.

Libra had been a subject of discussion in the last few days even by the most powerful president in the world however I don't believe those discussions have any huge impact on the price of bitcoin although I might agree that Trump bashing of BTC had some little impact, as it is now the price had regains its upward momentum and started to pump this really shows that despite the harsh criticism its recovery was quick and swift of course investors have more confidence in it compared to a centralized Libra which had been struggling on arrival.

The worst case scenario,  Libra will have no effect for Btc, the best case scenario, Libra will help Btc to increase its price as crypto popularity will raise.

It's just your feeling but in reality, there's no connection of that hype to bitcoin. Bitcoin is different from Libra and Libra has not yet launched. If the news is about Libra then how it can be related to bitcoin? because they are crypto? many are even saying that Libra isn't a crypto.

The emergence of news received by Libra, to increase the price of bitcoin over the past few months. Although there was speculation that there was concern over the threat of Libra's presence in Bitcoin, many later considered that the prestige of Bitcoin was actually revived by Libra. In other words, steps taken by Facebook have at least helped lift the price of other cryptocurrency higher. But that does not mean Facebook is the main driver.
