The hard to do is to decide choosing a good potential coin/token, have you know it the way? We only use the whitepaper to know the potential project for the future but it seems like for at this time the whitepaper not help much. Most of investors only use the project for short term investment only, maybe you have known when the taken part with IEO or ICO project they will sell quickly when the project token has been listed on the exchange and can be traded. If the culture of investment in the new project is like that I doubt the new project will come everytime and still worth to be an investment place.

We all know we have so many different coins in our folio and one of them are not worth or no value at all. And all you doing it is good to hold some trusted coins. Very right. Because some good projects are still bound to fail especially if the dev team got burned out and they have no motivation to push thru the project anymore. Very promising at the start but you can never tell the future of a new coin. So sometimes sticking to the old and trusted ones might be good to your investments. But it is all up to the investor, as he is risking his own money and not ours.

Yes you're right, holding coins with real use and can solve real problem are more likely to give you profit instead of holding coins that are just starting or didnt prove anything yet.

However there are still promising new project, you just need to be careful when choosing only few of them are genuine.

One good coin must indeed be in our portfolio, especially for long-term investment. However, in my opinion not only one coin we need. At least we need to have 3 coins so that we can be on guard if one day the coin is down or worthless. In this case, carefulness in choosing coins to be in our portfolio is indeed very necessary.
