Well I think it is a good idea to pay bounty hunters in either Bitcoin or Ethereum so they will not blame bounty hunters for dumping their tokens and making the price of their coin greatly affected.

For the fact that many projects in the cryptocurrency ecosystem doing bounties pay bounty hunters in their native tokens thereby blaming hunters for the dump in price most at times. I think it will be more preferable to have rewards paid in bitcoin or ethereum in order to save bounty hunters from receiving blames unnecessarily. I took part recently in a bounty (ANYONE project) and the payment is in btc though still awaiting payment but we're saved from unnecessary bickerings relating to price.
If on this bounty space we can get rewards in these currencies (btc or ethereum) it will do more good because after payout everybody faces their business and it will be left for the project team to see to how value could be added to their token or project as I can term it.

It's quite glaring and painful at the same time, bounty hunters are at the receiving end. In some cases, bounty managers change the rules with utmost disregard to hunters. I partook in a bounty just recently, where the BM was looking for a different excuse to cut down the rewards in their own native token seeing that price of the token skyrocket after their IEO and not allocating the agreed percentage to those tagged successful thereby denying hunters of what should have accrued them.

Any suggestion on the way forward that could be of help to bounty hunters having fair treatment and not be treated as a piece of rag after successful project campaign(s)? I want to learn from others experiences on the forum.

Paying hunters in either Ethereum or Bitcoin wouldn't be a bad idea at all. Have participated in projects that pays with BTC and it was really worth, hopefully more projects will follow them

ICO teams as a whole do not pay bounty to bounty hunters for their participation in ICO bounty companies by bitcoins or ethereum, because during the ICO they themselves collect these coins, distributing their new tokens. Very rarely, they agree to pay Bitcoin bounty hunters or ethereum, more often they do campaigns that do not carry out their ICO, but simply advertise their project in this way. Most bounty hunters would like to receive bitcoins or ethereum for their work, but this is unrealistic.

Unfortunately just a few of bounty campaign that do it, with the reason a project can't pay with btc or eth instead, because they must have funds first, so they need to reach successful first at ICO/IEO. Most project is started from the zero, without any fund, so that's why very rarely that give payments through them.

It projects can be consistent with paying in etherum or bitcoin
Then they can have wonderful marketing because it will be reduced terms, reduced participants which will yield quality service all round.

There are projects which have already working products and therefore wants to pay in ETH or Bitcoin. When this happens what I normally is to make sure that they paid for the first week as promised before I join them. There are certain situations where they fail to pay and you are not paid. What I will tell you is to make thorough investigations before you join those campaigns.

I also prefer this kind of strategy when joining both ETH and BTC campaign, paying once a month it's a little bit risky for me. imagine what if they don't pay us or delay the payment for another 1 month? man, that's annoying that's why when I see like a week payment I go apply for it and mostly get the payment in time.

I'm more likely to give ICO projects a high trust rating if they are going to pay bounty hunters with Bitcoin, Ethereum or other top coins in the market, this could only mean that they want to protect their token from getting dump and they are willing to use funds from their sales to bounty hunters, bounty hunters are first supporters of their project, if they can do this to do their bounty hunters, they'll get positive feedback from the community.

What i care is bounty paying with coin and its worthed/ not one of many shitcoin, i am join so many bounty and now collected more than hundred coin erc that i cant sell, its sad Angry
This is why many people are clamoring that hunters be paid with bitcoin or Ethereum for the work that they have done for developers, because they need to be exempted from these holding of coin for future, when they were raising funds, I believe that they never raised funds based on their tokens too, they received either Ethereum, or bitcoin.

Why should they even pay hunters in their own token when they know that there is no way you can get money for your work out If they don’t enter exchange, and like you side, I have hundreds of tokens too that has never entered exchange, it has just been promises upon promises till they end up getting dead and cannot be revived again. I know that they need to keep their coin active, but hunters are just minor to help them do so, they should go for end users of their project.

I think this is very difficult, because bounty was born for the purpose of self-help the projects, because they don't have to spend money to pay for bounty. For projects which raised fund, they have enough money to spend on a bounty campaign (because you know, to attract hunters, the bounty pool must be attractive too).

You are right because there are some projects who reneges on their promises and it’s quite painful that almost nothing can be done when such happens and it saddens me a lot.

Just like most commenters must have pointed out, i aggree with the fact that projects may not have the amount of eth or BTC to pay hunters. Removing such amount from their collections may ruin their running costs especially in this age where the number of bonuses may be x2000 of the supposed ‘IEO or ICO’ price

Don’t you think the issue of these high bonuses to early investors as a means of wooing them to projects is a contributing factor to price dumps when such projects list on exchange and thereafter bounty hunters are meant to bear such blames?

It will be good if the team takes this path, but most won't because they think they will be lossing much. Before they blame hunters of always crashing the price of their token and nowadays they lock hunters reward for weeks, months and yet the tokens dump without regards. I think a good project should bother about what they want to achieve and if they think hunters will crash their token price let them pay with BTC or ETH. Also, most times some projects will use the strategy of paying in BTC or ETH to lure hunters; so in all dealings let due diligence be the watchword.

ALready finding this kind of bounty projects, with the ETH or BTC payment. However, they are still limited enough and we can only find them on the service board in this forum. So far, the bounties prefer to use their own token or coin to pay the bounty hunter. They may not lead to dumping their token, however, sometimes, not all team have enough money to pay the participants with the BTC or ETH first.

not being paid and deducting the allocation is a risk if we become bounty hunters. you should participate in a project held by a trusted BM like Hhampuz. maybe that will keep you from bad things  Wink

Paying in BTC will not solve the mentioned problems, unfortunately. Teams need money aka BTC for continuously developing the project and you suggest paying in the Bitcoin for bounty hunters. In my opinion, sending token rewards will be more suitable than giving away free Bitcoins.

But it's not so easy as you said consider about the platform will always choose to keep their funds into the major crypto rather than try to take a little percentage and distribute it as an exchange to the token payment that already deserved by the bounty hunters.

Well there are many of bounty campaigns that you can see already that the payment has made on tokens it is such very difficult to understand why bounty hunters recieve tokens with not valuable at all many of them can't list also there tokens in a good exchanger to meet the price per token sales.

It would be very nice if the generosity participants received payment in BTC or ETH. I can say that such companies will be more successful, and then another problem will be solved, namely, the charges against the generosity of the participants that they will reduce the token rate after distribution will disappear. I have already participated in several such companies, and I personally liked it, and everything was transparent and clear, without evasion. Of course, if company administrators want more members, then they must provide better conditions for payments and be sure not to deceive participants.

Nothing can help, BM should get red trust when he changes the rules.
One effort to fight is to spread fud to their projects. giving a kind of protest so that the bounty hunter gets his rights.

We shouldn't be cruel over the Bounty manager. Because bounty managing is a job like bounty hunting. We obey bounty manager's rules and bounty manager obeys the project's team words and decisions. Many projects said there will be no KYC but later then they come through the KYC procedure. So, Bounty manager is not that guy to blame.

It does not solve the problem if a project does not achieve its funding goals. If a project fails to collect enough money but wants to keep the development, it would be even better to pay hunters with native tokens instead of 0,00001 ETH per participant.
