With few exceptions almost all bowlers are either unfit or struggling to perform. Batsmen like Imam are too defensive and with this defensive you cant either score runs or win matches against team like Australia.

noormcs5 I absolutely agree that Pakistan has to do far better than what they did in the last match. Because they will have no chance otherwise. And Australia is of course going to try to make another dominating display if given the chance. So Pakistan will have to play extra carefully and also not give any chances to Australia. It is definitely going to be hard for Pakistan. But they have to at least try. Their pride was already hurt by the last match. They have to plan well and give their 100% to actually have a go at the revenge. Will they be able to get something out of this match? I don't know to be honest. But the way Australia is playing right now, I wouldn't be surprised if another score like the last match is produced, to be honest.

This is not the first time Pakistan team is having a tough time at Australia. They always had hard time while playing at Australian Soil. Boxing test will start in 4 hours from now and things are not looking good for Pakistan. Your point is correct that there is hue influence of politics in PCB that's why they are suffering heavily at the moment. Players like Imam and Shan Masood are playing just because they have solid backing of people who have influence in PCB. Shan Masood who is captain of Pak test team was not even part of test squad before this series. He was brought in and made captain straight away.

It seriously sucks when politics gets involved way too deeply with sports like in Pakistan's case currently. Babar wasn't the best captain for sure, but he was doing a decent job and they were slowly and steadily improving as a team.

Here I agreed with you and sadly this is not only case with Pakistan we have few other countries are also suffering with this badly but no one can change this attitude because this is dilemma in power and politics game change of Ramiz Raja was starting for the Pakistan to have another bad patch and downfall which is going to take long time with we are not expecting any changes in near future and current management is completely non-professional even they have few former cricketers, but they are not good as we want for management in this game.

Changes in Afghanistan and few more Asian countries are surely having same issues because the peoples in control they want all things as they wish and have no harm to ban or leave out quality players without any reason.

We saw some great batting from David Warner in the first innings in the first Test against Australia vs Pakistan. So the Pakistani captain decided to bowl after winning the toss. Abhimanyu Easwaran has been one of the consistent performers in Ranji Trophy for quite some time. While the media whines about the case of Sarfaraz Khan, they ignore that of others like Abhimanyu. Australia won their first test match by 360 runs and today in the second test match Australia bats first for the first innings.  Both Pakistan and Australia are good enough for cricket and they have a lot of reputation in the game of cricket but for test match Australia is much better than Pakistan and again they can beat Pakistan by a big price margin. Because Pakistan can't play well in Test matches, they lose wickets quickly. Australia have scored 110 runs so far but only 2 wickets have fallen so it is a bit predictable that they can cross 400 runs in the first innings.

These two (Marnus Labuschagne and Steven Smith) need to dig in and build a 100+ partnership. They have lost two quick wickets now and if they lose another, then Pakistan will be on top. And so far, Shaheen Shah Afridi seems to be in good form and bowling with perfect line and length. And also, good support from Aamer Jamal and Hasan Ali. I was surprised with Pakistan's decision to go in with 4 pacers (apart from these three, there is Mir Hamza as the fourth seamer). But looks like this strategy has worked so far.

Lastly had the rains not come I felt that Pakistan bowler’s could have easily gotten few more wicket’s and completely put the pressure on Australia but since their rhythm is now going to be disturbed I feel that it’s an advantage for Australia batsmen fight their way back in the game.

If Australia can get to 350-400, then they will have the advantage. If Pakistan can keep them below 350 in the second innings, then they will have a chance in this match. But then their batsmen also need to score runs, especially top order batsmen such as Abdullah Shafique, Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam. It's going to be tough against the combo of Starc-Hazlewood-Cummins.

Match delayed due to rain now. Pakistan collected first wicket at 90 runs. And second at 108 runs. If they will continue like this so I think they will restrict the Australian team below 350 runs.
But the batting line of Pakistan was little weak. Like we have seen in the first test match. If they made a come back in the bowling line so I hope the batsman will also make a comeback in their inning.
If they will perform like they performed in the first match so Pakistan will lose this match too.
