He has already got 159 runs and is now slowly going towards, what might be his maiden 200 runs in test cricket. He is getting good support from Marco Jansen from the other side. India would need to break the partnership in the early hours of day 3 of the first test. An early wicket for India would put a break to the lead which is now of 57 runs.

Dean Elgar is batting on 184, and looks like he will get his double century today. He has never scored a double ton before. Once he got to 199, but unfortunately he got out before adding one more run. That said, we need to appreciate the effort from Marco Jansen. You are correct with the way Indian batter have been batting in this match. They have no idea which ball to play, and more often they seem to be doing a favor to the Indian team. Again the cycle comes to the same point that we saw in the first innings, batters look clueless as to what short they need to play. They are neither trying to be defensive, not aggressive, as they do not understand the mindset of the bowler. The situation is not good for India and will make it bad if these two batters, Kohli and Rahul get out without adding 100 or more runs to the trail of 71 runs.

And all Australian players are playing well so it is expected that they can collect atleast 100 more runs in the remaining 4 wickets then their total number of runs in 2nd innings will be 287+ out of which they lead in 1st innings by 54 runs then Pakistan will have to collect more than 350 runs to win the match. May need to win the match in the 2nd innings. It is natural that this will put a lot of pressure on Pakistan players

Bowling paradise but opposition batters outbatted the visitors and our bowling unit just looked toothless, hard to compete when only 2 bowlers are turning up at the job. I had high hopes for the debutant but he failed miserably and the opposition took him to the cleaner. Lord also needs some soul searching and also needs to learn a thing or two about this mortal world, if not then just rip off the golden arm. No complaints to Anna, he did his job well with the ball.

On batting, oh boy! No defense for this club level batting.
