What are the chances of chasing down, I would say impossible because the record 4th inning chase in this venue is less than 300 which also happened about 70 years ago and around 220 is the successful chased score in the last 2 decades so it's India leveling the series and all they need is 9 wickets.

Even in the first match of the series, we saw England win by just 5 wickets after batting for a big target of 371 runs. So even though India has given a big target, it cannot be thought that they are in a very safe zone. Indian bowlers will definitely have to bowl well if they want to win.

England's victory looks a bit tough at this stage of the match. After the first innings, it looked like there wouldn't be much runs on this pitch and we might get a result by the start of the fourth day. But India are going to prove that wrong. After the first innings, the Indian batsmen have made a great comeback in the second innings and are fighting for big totals. They have already reached a stage where they are capable of giving the opposition a tough time. But they are fighting for more.

It is getting tougher every day. It will be tougher when England also make a great comeback and start chasing India's target well. I will be looking especially at Joe Root's batting. I predict that the series is going to be drawn.

I think it's time to take the brave call and promote him as regularly at No. 3 or atleast in the 5 instead of forcing him to play down at no.8/9 where he is forced to throw his his wicket away. And promoting him up the order will give a chance to add one more bowler that could have been a different story in this context of the match.

I gave importance for the stats and convinced that India is winning for sure but I just now watched that day 4 will be easier to score and day 5 will be hard with the spinners coming in and we got only 3 seamers so yeah it can be possible to chase it down if England play the traditional way instead of the bazball.

Mukesh was supposed to be another one but he didn't click. Akashdeep is relatively new and so far doing alright job. Krishna is nowhere close at home, Arshdeep is big no atm.

I too believe India should experiment with different bowlers specially in the test matches. Unlike ODI or T20, test match offers more room for errors and other bowlers could bowl longer spell if one is failing. It's not an easy task to select a bowler when you have many options and few slots. But you can't just stick with a falling bowler.
