Well, I was waiting for the final and quit all of my work today just to see the match and get some enjoyment by watching it. I thought the Sri Lankan team (which defeated the Pakistani team and gave a very tough time to Pakistani batsman) would do a great battle and would, never give up easily but when I saw the Sri Lankan batsmen give their wickets one by one so I was very sad that how a team who came to final playing like that. After losing 7 wickets on 37 runs I thought now maybe their batsman would do some and at least they will cross the hundersds but unfortunately, they all are down on 51, Such a shameful performance for the Sri Lankan team. India is a very strong team and they have won the Asia world cup and now they did this.
 

Exactly I was thinking just like you. That if they beat Pakistan so they will give a tough time to Indian team too. But I was wrong and we say in punjabi ( 50 scoran ty e thuss ho gaye). I was not expecting this type of performance from Sri Lankan team. By the way Congratulations to India who won the Asia Cup. According to the performance of Pakistan in the first matches I was expecting that Pakistan will win the Asia Cup but unfortunately I was wrong.

Pakistani teams always do this, at first they give their best and win matches with huge margins but as they go in towards the last which is more important their performance goes down and they lose matches. Maybe it is their stamina issues but they need to rebuild the team and change this behaviour.

In the case of Srilanka, their players give their own wickets because, on the shot ball, they stop it and give an edge to the wicketkeepers. Also, a lot of space was free but they shot where the player was standing for the catch. So it was their own stupidity to lose a final without any effort for winning.

After South Africa deaft Australia in ODI Series Pakistan again become No.1 ODI team of the world and Babar Azam remains the No.1 ODI batsman of the World. Pakistan team has best pace attack in the world but after Naseem injury we struggles to including wickets taker fast bowler in playing 11. One reason of injury is that we Pakistan playing with their main fast bowlers against Afghanistan series and also played against Nepal team while India team rested his main bowlers and players Rohit, Kholi and Pandya against Australia Series.

Is there any verified news about Muhamad Amir as people spread some rumors about his comeback to the Pakistan team.I heard about him and that he settled himself somewhere abroad. He left cricket which means he is unfit now so how did they select him as a replacement for Fast bowler Naseem Shah? It's not fair for the national team to add a player who was retired instead of him the national team has some more choices like Wasim Junior, Hasnain, etc. I think it will be good for the Pakistan Cricket Board to select one of them. The absence of Nassem Shah left some bad effects on the team so hope the new one will be good.

Overall it was an incredibly dull day for cricket.

We had one final and one series decider but both the fixtures turned into one-sided affairs. Not sure if India would take (except cup) any lessons from this match, Siraj taking 6fer was the only highlight. South Africa on the other hand would take this series win delightfully, considering they lost the first 2 matches and came back strongly.   

All these matches are turning out to be fine warm-up matches before the WC and everyone is trying new combinations and testing their bench strength. From next week we'll have another set of warm up bilateral series between Ind vs Aus, Ban vs NZ and Eng vs Ire. Let's hope no injuries for the main players. We are already seeing a fair amount of injuries in every team.

From India's pov, i'd prefer testing bench strength and surely rest Bumrah, Rohit, Kohli, Hardik, and Siraj for at least 1 match.

Even though we didn't saw a very competitive match of cricket today but I still am impressed with how Indian bowling attach performed. Usually we go to world cups with our batting strength but this time it's our bowling strength which looks amazing. Indian pitches are going to provide much less help for pacers but even then if these guys can move the ball like this it's really going to be hard to beat India.

Feel good factor does work when your team gets back into winning habit before any big tournament.

But at the same time, it should create some nervousness as well because everyone thinks that India are favorite and then we get knocked out in the semis. Happened many times in the last decade lol.

But that was not continued in the next match. In the Super Four, Pakistan bowlers failed completely against India. Shaheen Afridi got only one wicket but Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf did not get any wickets in the entire innings. The team had to loss the match against India by 228 runs. According to the current condition, players need to change but since the World Cup is around the corner, there is no scope for the Pakistan team.

India won the Asia Cup very easily against Sri Lanka. What a bowling of India. Muhammad Siraj took 6 wickets and he took 4 wickets in a single over. If you search on Google, which cricket team is known as the land batsman so Google tells you India butt in this match India is known as the land of bowlers.

I would consider it only as bad news for the Pakistan team. Just before the start of the world cup, they lost of one their major fast bowler., Naseem Shah as he is injured.

Although we know about Muhammad Amir as he is also a good bowler however i do not know if he is in the form or not. I haven't seen him play for the Pakistan team for a long time. Yes, he has got the pace and he is sort of a furious bowler like Shoaib Akhtar, but I do not know if he could be successful on the pitches of India.

Muhammad Amir career from Pakistan is very much over, currently he has got UK residency and is settled there. There are few options to replace Naseem Shah like Muhammad Hasnain, Hassan Ali and Shahnawaz. I think Muhammad Hasnain is a good option as he has got pace and can be effective on Indian pitches.

So what is the official news then? Will Muhammad Amir represent Pakistan in this World Cup or will the PCB will look for other options?
No matter who they play with, Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi bowling was one of the best fast bowling attack but now I guess Afridi has to find a suitable partner who can keep the pressure at the other end.

Naseem Shah was the only bowler who played well in the Asia Cup. Ofcourse Afridi cannot be forgotten but was not that good.  Who will now be bowling from the other end? Rauf  doesn't bowl with the new ball. They would need a good bowler who should be able to bowl like Naseem Shah. Zaman Khan was not that good against Srilanka, condition would be the same for the world cup too. I don't think he would be effective enough. This injury is big problem for Pakistan, then there have been reports of internal conflict. That would again hamper the performance of Pakistani players.

Of course, they will miss Naseem Shah and Haris Rouf. Other pace bowlers you mentioned are not better compared to how well Naseem Shah and Haris were doing. I guess almost everyone does not know fact that Pacers have a limitation in their bowling capabilities. They can bowl more than their capacity but it will increase the chance of their injury. Which is what happened in Pakistani Pacers case. They did not rotate the bowlers well and they keep used their main gun for every match. Even Bangladesh pace bowling coach rotated his bowlers even against India. They gave a rest to Shoriful and Taskin ahmed because the coach knows he already bowled a lot in this week. A Pace bowler should not bowl more than 160 balls per week. At least that's what some monitoring software suggest that is used by many coaches. But, I don't think Pakistani coaches use such technology to track their bowlers working load.

Exactly! Before the Asia Cup, Pakistan had a solid team, but something changed after the tournament. It seems like they're relying heavily on Naseem and Haris. They're not available now, and this shows the result of not resting their main players. The busy schedule, with them playing continuously before a big event, might be why Pakistan is struggling. Anyway Pakistan team has always been unpredictable, and they might bounce back even from this tough situation. There's hope that they'll perform much better in the World Cup.
