India make a big change in world cup squad after the defeat from Australia, Ravichandran Ashwin is back in India ODI World Cup squad 2023. I think this is good addition in team india spin bowling attack. Ashwin is a thinking bowler and a very useful batsman, and in Indian conditions he will be very effective. He replaced the injured Axar Patel in the team. Its a good decision by Indian Cricket Board, Ravindra Jadeja and Aksar Patel are bowlers alike but the World Cup is being held in India an experienced cricketer like Ravichandran Ashwin will certainly benefit Team India and hopefully india has good chance to win world Cup.

Ravichandran Ashwin can be very lethal in Indian conditions (although he has recently improved his performance in the SENA pitches). But it needs to be seen whether he will get a chance to play in the ODI World Cup. For India, the first choice spinner will be Kuldeep Yadav, with Ravindra Jadeja backing him up. Ashwin will get a chance only if India decides to go with 3 spinners. But if they do that, then either one among the pace trio needs to be dropped (Mohammed Siraj-Mohammed Shami-Jasprit Bumrah) or Shardul needs to warm the bench.

BCCI has taken a good decision. Ravichandran Ashwin will play an important role for the Indian team considering the Indian conditions.  With Ravindra Jadeja as a left-arm all-rounder, a right-arm spin all-rounder was definitely needed for India. If Ravichandran Ashwin is in the XI, he will definitely be considered as a bowler, the batting performance he can expect may not be expected by the team management or the captain. 
We generally know that spinners thrive in Asian conditions, if spinners get four to five degrees of trun and can bowl a bit harder with it, that bowler will definitely make the most impact like Ravichandran Ashwin can. In addition to getting good bowling support, India may have valued the experience.

Australia beat India by 66 runs in the third match of the ODI series. Although the Australian team did not win the previous two matches against India but in the third match the Australian team performed well against India. In today's last match, Australia team managed to save some honor by winning against India. In today's match, India, a strong team, failed in both batting and bowling. The middle order and last order batting performance of the Indian team was very poor. If the Indian team could have improved their middle order and last order batting performance, India could have won today's match against Australia.

The Indian team performed well in the beginning but the worst performance came towards the end of the match. Although the opening first pair stayed on the field for a long time, the fall of wickets was high later due to which the Indian team lost by a wide margin. Meanwhile Australia team's batting performance was very good. I thank Maxwell. He has done the best bowling performance. He took 4 wickets with 40 runs in 10 overs which is the biggest achievement for the Australian team. It was because of this performance that the Indian team faced the toughest time and was forced to lose.

Maxi (who is near retirement BTW), is not a regular or reliable spinner. Although he picked up 4 wickets during the previous match, I don't expect him to repeat that performance everytime when he plays. Australia doesn't have a quality spinner at this point. Adam Zampa is the only full-time spinner they have included for the world cup squad, but he is quite inconsistent. I guess some of the spin duties will be performed by Glenn Maxwell and Marnus Labuschagne, but overall on the spin department they looks quite weak.

The issue with Ashwin is not about performance. It is rumored that he has frosty relations with the senior members of the national team, such as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. As a result, a lot of times he gets overlooked in favor of low quality spinners such as Yuzvendra Chahal, Washington Sundar and Ravi Bishnoi. Anyway, since the tournament is being played in Indian pitches (which are supportive to spinners), Indian selectors may include both Ashwin and Kuldeep this time (with Jadeja as the backup allrounder). Also, with Axar out due to injury, they don't have too many options to replace Ashwin.

Well, I understand that lifting the World Cup for both Afghanistan and Srilanka teams is out of the question but both of these teams are capable of doing the upsets and that too not just once but multiple times.

They are not in their best form to lift the trophy, but they will decide which four teams will play in the semi-finals. They are strong teams with quality spin-bowling attacks and can upset any team. Bangladesh is another team which is capable of upsetting any opposition.

Ashwin is a lethal bowler in Indian conditions; he is a wicket-taker. Whether he will be included in the playing XI remains to be seen. I think, initially, India will go with Kuldeep and Jadeja.

At this point I am not even sure whether he will be given an opportunity to get to 500 test wickets (he has 489 at the moment). Overall, Ashwin is a very under-rated player, when we compare him to past legends such as Harbhajan Singh and Anil Kumble.

Today is the first of the warm-up matches. The all matches start at the same time. But in this post, I am talking about the sad thing about this World Cup. This is the last World Cup where we see these legends, this is the last World Cup of Virat Kholi, Rohit Sharma, Tim Southee, David Warner, Kane Williamson, and maybe Ravindra Jadeja, and many more best players. We will miss them all.

India is hosting England for 5 test match series in Jan 2024 so i am not worried about his 500th wickets landmark as he's first choice bowler in the subcontinent along with the Jadeja. At worst, he will reach there within first 2 matches.

If he's able to maintain his fitness successfully then i guess he can still play at least 20-25 tests more. India is playing 10 tests in 2024, all in India and I'm sure, he'll play all 10 test matches unless he gets injured.

First set of warmups are about to start in 1 hour from now, but I am not sure whether we will get to see any action today. Rains are reported in all three cities as of now. Situation in Guwahati is a bit better, but not very encouraging news coming from the other two venues (Hyderabad and Trivandrum). India's first warmup match will be played tomorrow, when they takes on England at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. They will be playing one more warmup match, against Netherlands on 3rd October at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.

In the other match, Srilanka are batting first after winning the toss and scored 26 without any loss. Kusal Perera and Pathum Nissanka looking calm againist the bangladesh bowlers.

But Pakistan had reached 33/1 after 10 overs in the warm-up match against New Zealand. That's quite concerning. There's a need for Pakistan to consider a different approach when batting during the power play. However, rain interrupted the match. Fortunately, the recent update indicates that the rain has eased a bit, and the covers are being slowly removed. Let's hope the game resumes shortly.

At this time, Pakistan's batting is just average. If Babar Azam and Rizwan will not out to 35 overs then Pakistan have a chance to win this match. Babar Azam and Rizwan is playing very well according to One Day, but Pakistan lost their two main and important wickets.

In the other match of between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, Sri Lanka's batting is very amazing at this time. Sri Lanka lost their 3 main wickets. I think that in the first match, Pakistan will win and 2nd match Sri Lanka will win.

Today warm up match is started between the team of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and the toss has been won by the Sri Lanka team and decided to bat first. The team of Sri Lanka has obtained 195 runs in over of 38 and 5 players has been out.

 There is a hope that Sri Lanka will give target of 260 to 280. Pathum Nissanka in today's match played well and got 68 runs. There is a great chance for Sri Lanka to win this match.



There is another match between Pakistan and New Zealand and first batting of Pakistan has started and there are 188 run obtained by Pakistan team in 35 overs and 3 players has been out. There was a good partnership between Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan and both bat well.

Rizwan got 70 runs and babar azam has 80 runs so there is a great chances for Pakistan to target upto 280 runs. Babar Azam out on the run of 80 But the team of New Zealand is also very strong therefore there is also a chance for their victory. Kane Wallisium Glenn Philips are very good player and they make a profitable partnership.

Pakistan vs New Zealand.  Pakistan won the toss and batted first to complete the 30 overs so far. There are 20 overs left to play. Pakistan team has collected 162 runs in 30 overs so far with the loss of three wickets. Pakistan team players are playing mostly in slow motion. The New Zealand players put a lot of pressure on the Pakistan batsmen. The batsmen of the Pakistan team could not average more runs due to being under pressure. Now I think Pakistani batsmen need to play shots in rest of the overs to increase the run average

The Sri Lankan team performed very well from the start but the Bangladesh team could not keep the bowling under pressure. Sri Lanka's Pathum Nissanka started the only good try. Mahedi Hasan of Bangladesh team threw the ball towards Sri Lanka and succeeded in getting 3 wickets which is one of the best for Bangladesh team. Mahedi Hasan gave 29 runs in just 8 overs, then the performance was very good for me. If the other bowlers could have performed well then surely the Sri Lankan team would not have scored more runs. So far the Sri Lankan team has collected 206 runs in 40.2 balls with the loss of 5 wickets.
