Yesterday was the third ODI match between Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. Yesterday's match was set to be played in Colombo and everybody knew Colombo's weather so of course also in yesterday's match Colombo weather see their work.

The rain happened in yesterday's match which is why they managed the overs and turned ODI into a T20. They gave 27 overs to both teams but Zimbabwe was all out on 22 overs then the Sri Lankan team chased the target in 16 overs. By the way, the target was too low so they should chased it in under 13 overs, but they chased it in 16 overs.

Srilanka won this series easily with 2-0. It could have been easily 3-0 win but the first T20 match was not completed and was drawn. Now after two days we will see the T20 series between the two teams. I hope Zimbabwe will be able to perform better to that we may see some competitive matches between the two teams.

I don't think this is hard luck now Zimbabwe is down and out of the game due to their performance and quality they fail to adopt changes which must for having better results in this game and their internal politics and poor system also not helpful for them to have anything positive their best era was 1999 while they have too many quality players but these all gone due to political instability, and now they are not able to compete with associate countries as well.

In African region, we have now Namibia and Uganda as new better teams with Zimbabwe and Kenya lost their chances but good thing happening, they are doing good and having good improvement in this continent with few more teams are coming and taking their chances, but soccer is still there no 1 sport.

op You are right the way Zimbabwe team is performing against Sri Lanka if they perform like this then their cricket team will not improve much in future. That's because Zimbabwe bowled fairly well in the second one-day match, their batting was poor, if they could have given the target of 230 runs in the second one-day match, they would have easily won the second one-day match. In the third ODI match, Zimbabwe's batting failure again resulted in the Zimbabwean team being bowled out for just 97 runs. The way the Zimbabwean team is performing against Sri Lanka, they need to focus on their batting otherwise they will not improve much in their cricket team in the future.

Zimbabwe has been trying for a long time but with no positive results rather they are getting worse with time. If the player is not good then of course it is the responsibility of the board to adopt new players but that is not very effective. Because of which it has to be said that their country's cricket is almost dying. If this situation continues there will be a general loss of interest in cricket and the sustainability of their cricket may also be in jeopardy. What I have said before is that the cricket board and the government as well as the ICC should come forward and help. They identify where the main problem lies and take necessary measures to solve it.

The performance we are seeing from Zimbabwe team is already saying that Zimbabwe is a outform team. Presently their team condition is very deplorable and that's why they didn't get a place even in the last world cup where a team like Netherlands got a place.  Although the format may be different, the Zimbabwean team is currently playing poorly in all formats. Well, that was the second ODI. The third ODI is also over. And the final match was not anything close to the second one. Zimbabwe did not have any chance in that match against Sri Lanka. Of course, the whole match was not played because of the DLS method. But Zimbabwe gave a target of 97 in a 27 over match. That is just not good enough to defend against a team like Sri Lanka. So Sri Lanka was able to chase down the target very easily. Sri Lanka also wins the series with this one. Don't want to take anything away from Wanindu Hasaranga. He bowled really well. But at the same time, the question is whether Sri Lankan spinners can repeat this performance while playing under SENA conditions, against top teams. Playing against Zimbabwe at home under helpful conditions is one thing, and facing someone like Australia in seam-friendly conditions is another. And now coming to Zimbabwe, apart from Muzarabani they don't have any quality bowlers. If the Lankan batsmen struggled against them, then the future outlook for Sri Lanka looks quite bad.

Zimbabwe batsman could not worked hard and struggle and not make runs.A target of 98 is not a big target.  Their batsmen did not show interest and struggle.  And did not give a difficult target.Sri Lanka bowler bowling very well and get the all wicket and get the easy target.Yes you are right.  Even if the Sri Lankan batsmen don't work and struggle they can score 98 runs in 50 overs.This is a great achievement for the Sri Lankan bowler as he worked hard and struggled to bowl all the Zimbabwe batsmen.if Zimbabwe batsman make 200 run they won the match.Then how well could the Zimbabwe bowlers control the Sri Lankan batsmen. Zimbabwe chances of getting back into main stream cricket are dying with every game they play. In 3rd ODI they were bowled out for just 97 runs and target was chased comfortably by SL in 17th over for loss of just 2 wickets. Zimbabwe recently failed to qualify for T20I world cup and there recent performance is proof of why they are not able to make it to mega events. They are dependent on few players, if they perform they win else they collapse.

Right, i don’t think they are able to come back in international cricket, the Zimbabwe team have not got a chance in any national level game for the last many years not only ICC T20 World cup 2024. How will they qualify in the world cup, first of all i think their cricket board is very poor, they can't trained properly so there are no enough good players in their team.

It is not to say that the Zimbabwean team is slowly sliding towards such a bad position. You are absolutely right the way zimbabwe team is bowling against sri lanka if they could have batted a little more responsibly i believe it would have been a competitive game with sri lanka and zimbabwe would have won the match against sri lanka. Because the Sri Lankan batsmen were really struggling when Sri Lanka came down to bat with a target of 209 runs. At one point it looked as if the way the Sri Lankan batsmen were batting, it was likely that Zimbabwe would win. But the run target was low, if Zimbabwe could have given a bigger target in that match, then Zimbabwe would have won the match without a doubt. Today first Warm up match was finished with no result in ICC Under-19 World Cup Warm-up Matches competition and these match was just a practice match and not a single batter of these squads in this competition could be play seriously. Pakistan U19 against South Africa U19 squad match, Pakistan U19 batting inning performance was not good firstly and their sqaud collected only 211 scores after playing 41 overs by losing 8 wickets. Ahmed Hussain batter scored highest scores in overall match and total 36 scores off 38 deliveries. Both starter batters of Pakistan U19 squad was cleared out for m0 score. I  know this was just a warm up matches South Africa U19 squad easily emerged victory in this match if this match continues at end.

Looking the overall status of Pakistan Team in this series is not looking good as they are not even focusing on their own mistakes that they have already made previously like they are always being so weak at their batting side and still they are not focusing on their batting attach even though they have a good bowling coach and batting coach also.

On the other side the South African Under 19 team working hard on their bowling attack and thus they have proved that in many matches previous that they can still give defeat to many top class batters as well. This cricket is all about the passion a team wants to build with some good momentum to create.

Yesterday, almost all the warmup matches in the U19 World Cup got washed out. Both India and Pakistan performed poorly in these matches. India Under-19s got bowled out for just 171 against Australia, with just Uday Saharan making any significant contribution with the bat. Sri Lanka's team is much stronger as compared to Zimbabwe and secondly, their coaches did not prepare them well. If you look at the team 4 wickets drop in the figure 40 runs and three wickets on the 67 runs means that these three batsamn did not make a single run, They came to the field only to give them their wickets so from this I think all the credit is their poor performance goes to their coaches. The batsman, the wicketkeeper's name is J. Gumbie had a good score of 29 runs on 34 balls. Well, it's not a good score but as compared to the rest team I think he did his best.
