Sri Lanka won the first match of the ODI series against Zimbabwe, although Sri Lanka won this match very fortunately. Sikandar Raja was an experienced and set batsman and Sri Lanka benefited greatly from his dismissal, which allowed them to defeat Zimbabwe by seven runs. In ODI cricket, 10 runs in the last over was not a difficult target, and losing three wickets in the first three balls meant completely upsetting a team, as Sri Lanka's Dilshan Madushanka demonstrated. Especially the performance of Zimbabwean batsmen surprised us. Sikandar Raza scored 92 runs. Also Williams, Ben Curran and Munyonga batted quite well. Sri Lanka is very lucky that Madushanka was able to bowl in a controlled manner in the last over. Madushanka gave only 2 runs in the last over and was able to take three wickets. All four wickets he took were very important wickets, which basically enabled West Indies to put pressure on them and as a result, West Indies almost came close to winning but could not achieve victory.

Anyway, this match at least made me understand that this entire series will be a competition where both teams have the ability to beat each other.

The only reason why Zimbabwe lost was Sikandar Raja, at the last moment when only 10 runs were needed in an over. Why would he play a wrong shot there?
If he had been a little more patient and expected to score a century, he could have definitely won this match. Yup I thought that Zimbabwe had their chances in this match specially when they were chasing the 298 runs. First they gave away too many runs as they could not take wickets in the dept when J Liyanage made 70 not out in only 47 balls and also Mendis made 57 runs and that was another fast innings.

While battling there were some great innings by Sikandar Raza and BJ Curran but no runs by one of the opener and BRM Taylor made the chase difficult and in the end they lost this game.

Actually, Zimbabwe could have won this match only if Zimbabwe had not lost their batsman Sikandar Raza, but unfortunately Sikandar Raza was dismissed after scoring 92. After his dismissal, Zimbabwe came under some pressure and at this time Tony Munyonga wasted some valuable balls with dots, which ultimately led to their defeat in the last over.

They played all matches very good but their performance in one game was poor.  It is hoped that they will continue to play well in the future and AMOR team chance quite low in playoff Matches. The 10th match between AMOR and BEAR was played at  Khost Cricket Stadium.  BEAR won the toss and field first. AMOR played a very bad match and lost game. In the past matches they have played all very poorly. Ijaz Ahmad Ahmadzai   scored 43 runs and 31 balls hitting 4 fours and 2 sixs. Congratulations to BEAR for their upcoming matches.

Amo Region squad performance in this competition has been very bad. So far, squad has participated in 4 matches but has not managed to secure a single victory. Today match against Band-e-Amir Region squad, Amo Region squad was begun match first with batting inning and batters managed to collect 177 scores target after playing 40 overs inning and overs were reduced to 40 because of bad weather condition. Farmanullah and Faridoon Dawoodzai both bowlers played crucial in victory and restricted Amo Region squad to low scores and both picked up 2 and 2 wickets. All top order batters of Band-e-Amir Region squad showcased bad start but Ijaz Ahmad Ahmadzai played wonderful inning and he collected 43 scores. Band-e-Amir Region emerged victory with big leading 4 wickets and 63 deliveries.
