Warm up competition matches among youth squads have started from yesterday and almost all squad are participated in it. Some matches of this competition were finished today but most of them ended without any outcome while result of few matches did come out. Among these, one match were also played among India Under 19s and Scotland Under 19s squad. We did not get the final result of the match due to rain. In the U-19 World Cup warm-up match against Pakistan U-19, we saw a very poor start from Bangladesh U-19. After losing 3 wickets for just 12 runs, Bangladesh gathered the capital to fight back. Kalam Siddiki Aleen top-scored for Bangladesh with 71 runs and he was not out. If the match had been played to the end, we might have seen a target of 200+ runs. This target might not have been too big for Pakistan. However, since it was a warm-up match, we should not give too much importance to this result. Both the teams are very strong in terms of age group.

This game was turning out to be exciting and low scoring match when heavy rain ended game sadly. Hero of Bangladesh was Kalam Siddiki and he was mentally tough because when his teammates failed badly, he scored 71 runs and team had lost three first wickets and got hardly anything. However, bowlers of Pakistan were completely in control at beginning, as they used speed and swing to make sure pressure was kept up and Bangladesh did not score more than 152 runs. Under clear weather, the hard DLS math would have set new target but as Pakistan was doing so well, they would most likely have tried to win game in shortest time possible. He was introduced in cricket as gun attacking batter and big guy with high release point but for quite some time he backed out from the batting completely, its like he forgot how to bat and literally become tailender.

Early in the power play and in the middle overs, I think New Zealand was batting with a slow and defensive mindset that they were not even trying for the boundary, always playing the spinner on the front foot and looking for singles or doubles.

They often fail and some got success with that gameplay but still that time, I was thinking it would be a great style to play, they should be a bit more aggressive against easy bowlers, like spinner when they bowl back of the length, it might easily cross the boundary. Anyhow they still managed to reach 300 runs.

Anyway, coming to this match specifically, it looks like India should win pretty comfortably considering the below par target. Good to see RoKo back in action.

I also didn't notice any hype for this bilateral, usually there is buzz when they announce squads but seriously didn't notice much. Did notice T-30 squad announcement tho.

First inning average score is 280-ish so above par, still they look 20-30 runs short considering dew factor will play some part in the 2nd innings.
