As I actually expected, England's bowling performance was a bit better than I expected. Where I expected Sri Lanka to be all out for around 250 runs, they managed to bowl Sri Lanka out for just 219 runs.
And they managed to recover by winning the do or die match of this series today. However, the biggest credit today will go to Joe Root, who bowled just as well as he batted and took two catches in his excellent fielding. However, I think we will see this kind of performance from England in the next match as well and the Citizens will see them as the victors.

England team tried 9 different bowlers and that strategy worked for them. Sri Lankan team batting performance was not good today as it was in first ODI, the team got out in last over of their innings after scoring 219 runs. On same track, we saw England team struggled to chase 272 runs in first ODI but today target was just 220 runs and England team won the match quite easily. Joe Root took 2 wickets and also scored 75 runs with the bat, he was given man of the match award. Third ODI will be played on Jan 27, 2026 and that will decide result of the series. 

England have recovered their form and responded well in the second ODI. England's bowling and batting lines have been able to attack from both sides, Root took two wickets and put an end to the Sri Lankan team. Root's good performance has levelled the ODI series by winning the match 1-1, but England's chances of winning the third match are looking more likely. Because they won the second match by a wide margin, I believe that England can be aggressive at any time and play a significant role in helping the team win.

West Indies U-19 have scored 226 runs this target is not very strong, the reason is that it is a 50 over innings, due to which this victory can be easy for the Ireland U-19 batsmen. Ireland U-19 batsmen are playing enough well and strong, their batsmen have scored 93 runs so far and if their batsmen continue to play well in the same way, their victory will be enough easy. If the West Indies U-19 bowlers are tough, then it is beneficial for them to play well in the match, otherwise they will not victory this match. If they are careless in any way, then this match will become interesting because of which this match will become even stronger.

On the other hand NZ team bowled well but in batting line they played slow because the total was not tough for chasing they should chase total in 30 to 35 overs. In Super Six Round, India Under 19s squad finished another match with victory and remain at top position with total points 4. In second match of Super Six round against New Zealand Under 19s squad,  New Zealand Under 19s squad was begun match first with batting inning and batters were managed to collect 136 scores as a defending off 36.2 overs. Henil Patel and RS Ambrish bowlers played crucial role in victory and both bowlers picked up 4 and 3 wickets respectively. After playing half inning, India Under-19 squad emerged successful victory and achieved target quite simply. The game of U19 WC SA U19 and AUS U19 has come to an end the victory of AUS U19. AUS chase the easy target. SA batted first and showing very unprofessional batting and don't have a great start in beginning and remains unconfident in the game and give a lowest target to AUS in allotted fifty overs. A crunch match between West Indies and Ireland. West Indies Jewel Andrew was the standout batsman for West Indies, scoring 66 runs. Except for him, the rest of the players failed to make a good contribution, especially the lower order, which looked completely shaky. West Indies were all out for 226 runs, which was not a very challenging target. In reply, Ireland got a good start through James West, who scored 45 runs, just close to a fifty but Lawes took his wicket.

The situation became tense when Ireland lost Adam Leckey right after James.  When McKenzie came on to bowl, he did what nobody expected. He turned the match completely by taking four key wickets and built huge pressure on the Irish batsmen. Ireland were 164 for 7 when rain interrupted the match. In Under-19 World Cup Australia Under-19 defeated South Africa Under-19 by 6 wickets. South Africa opens inning first with Van Schalkwyk and Armaan Manack and among the openers Schalkwyk gives a positive start to the team by scoring 26 runs but Manack losses his wicket early on duck and in middle order Paul James  played a well innings of 34 runs and then the whole team was panicked and only Muhammad Bulbulia scores 19 runs and at the end of the innings South Africa set a very low target of 119 runs for Australia. Today's was an incredible effort of England under 19s bowlers, who put immense power on Bangladesh players.England were looked very well prepared at every aspects. They not only did bowling well but picked all catches brilliantly. Rifat Beg from Bangladesh under 19s scored 31. There was frustration arise in Bangladesh team due to quick wickets fall. All were struggling throughout out the innings and just posted 136 runs it was no doubt weak and easy target for England. England started the game in easy mood. Ben Dawkins anchoring 27 runs.
