USA bowling was totally mind blowing, two bowlers delivered spell in an amazing way. Saurabh and Rushil collectively picked 7 wickets. Due to high bowling pressure only two players of Scotland played well. While rest of the players performance were too weak. Two batsman of Scotland out on duck and remaining failed to reach even more than 10 runs. Scotland hardly managed to post the target of 169 runs. Target looked like a T20 match. USA were very confident because of low and easy chase. They stepped up at crease and took solid start. Openers response with the bat was nice. USA snatched this easy victory from the jaws of Scotland in just 27th overs for 3 wickets

Ended up as another massive win for Nepal. During this series, they had a few big margin wins. This in turn pushed them up the table, and also improved their run rate. They have another 8 matches (2 series) remaining now. At the moment, there is a big gap between them, and the 4th placed Netherlands. On top of that, Netherlands has 12 matches remaining, opposed to 8 for Nepal. Oman is at third place, but they have 31 points (Nepal has only 24). They have 8 remaining matches. As things stand, I don't think that Nepal will be able to further improve their standings in the table.

It has been many days since Australia announced their squad for the Pakistan tour, whereas Pakistan were still selecting and announced it finally. Of course, they may be analyzing the test games, and I think they still have not moved on. Not bad, Nepal won their last 3 games in row and today was their last game against USA team and this was 108 th game of ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 series and this game was played at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground. USA team won toss and they chose first field and gave batting lineup to Nepal team. Nepal team gave 317 runs target in 50 overs by losing 8 wickets. Batsman Ishan also played very well in past two games and in today game he scored good runs as well and made 84 runs in 83 balls and hitted eight 4s and one 6s. In past game, USA team beated Scotland team but in this game, they failed to beat Nepal and lost this 108 th game by big margin 122 runs. Sandeep bowler helped team to win game and he took down 3 wickets in 10 overs and gave 30 runs. Congratulations Nepal team won this game and their rank is now 5 th and have 24 points.

USA Vs Scotland

Americans rounded on Scotland in this dead ball fielding affair to take very comfortable 6 wicket win. USA bowling attack bowled flawless line to deprive Scottish batting line of decent run up and wickets to muster respectable total of 169 runs. Under pressure Scotland batsmen were unable to build partnership nor keep healthy run rate.
Pursuit was very speedy and efficient. Americans were not putting their batters in very aggressive line up, as they sought to chase 170 runs in top of 27 overs. Their easy handling of Scottish bowlers is seen from way they secured scoring of 170/4 in the remaining 137 balls. Margin of victory will be huge boost for USA net run rate for tournament, but Scotland will have to quickly get over their batting problems before their next match.

Scotland team had good start and beated both Nepal and USA team but in past games, Scotland played very poorly. First, they lost to Nepal team and now today they have also lost to USA team. This was 106 th game of ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 series and was held at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground. In start of this game, Scotland team won toss and they elected field first and gave batting chance to Scotland team. Scotland team gave 194 runs target in 50 overs by losing all wickets. Brandon opener batsmen batted so good and made 73 runs but his single contribution was not enough to beat USA team. USA team chased down runs easily and won game by 6 wickets and 71 balls remaining. Lalit bowler took down 4 wickets in 8 overs and gave 32 runs. Ishan and Rohit both batsman batted great and ishan scored 55 runs and Rohit scored 74 runs in 98 balls and hitted five 4s and two and remained not dismissal. Congratulations USA team won today's game and their rank is 2 nd.

By playing first Scotland team scored 169 runs in 50 overs and they lost all wickets. In starting they lost 2 wickets early. Then Brandon McMullen stayed on crease and he scored some runs. After that they again lost 3 wickets very early. And then Mark Watt played well and he scored 66 runs in 85 balls. Then they lost all wickets back to back. If we look at batting performance then they played poor performance and gave not a good total for chasing. On the other hand United States of America team bowled outstanding bowling. Especially Rushil and Saurabh bowled outstanding bowling. They dismissed 7 players collectively. And if we look at batting line then they played little well inning. But they should chased this total in 20 overs because ot was not tough total but unfortunately they played extra overs. Anyway they performed brilliantly in bowling and well in battling side and won the match.

The squad is okay and it is great to see a young and talented players specially I would mention Arafat minhas but dropping Rizwan is a very poor decision. Rizwan is a proper of and test player yes he is not performing in t20s and also had a bad psl but in ODIs he is the backbone of middle order . Since 2023 he have played 46 innings and has highest average of 45 plus.

Also players like Fakhar zaman and Sami ayub are missing. Sami hasn’t been in great form but fakhar is a match winner. I heard fakhar has some injury issues and I hope he recovers quickly . I think along with rizwan these are key players and match winners in this format

USA faced defeat with the big gap of 122 runs. There were many defensive lapsed in batting line of USA. Nepal teams took tactical decision by handing the ball to the Lamichhane. The decision proved to be brilliant because he created tension in early overs for USA by collecting three important wickets. Thanks to Krishnamurti who played knocked of 56 runs and saved his team from embarrassing total. After his dismissal remaining tail was completely fumbled , four players were out without adding meaningful scores on the board. Nepal team was quite strong in fielding and bowling both. They gave no chance to USA players for chasing the score. Nepal wrapped up their win in just 41 overs. They totally dominate the result with their exceptional performance.

During the last few months, they have made massive improvement. Players like Dipendra Singh Airee, Sandeep Lamichhane and Lalit Rajbanshi have played a huge role in this improvement. I like two things about Nepal, BTW. First of all, their national team is entirely made of native players. And secondly, their players are very young. A majority of them are in their early 20s. Rohit Paudel is just 23, while Lamichhane is 25. Only thing that I don't like is that the team doesn't have ethnic balance. All the players are either Khas or Bihari. Sino-Tibetans and Tharu, who constitute 33% of the population doesn't have any representation at all.

Development of Nepal cricket is one of most uplifting ones in Modern Cricket. But long term success of athletics demands reaching out to all corners of nation and not to ignore one third of the population means turning blind eye on huge raw talent. What cricketing careers are to me is to have sports board actively getting things built in each and every province. Though immense credit goes to current team for their quick development as players on field, having academy in Sino Tibetan and Tharu regions can only make national team better and well rounded. Talent is evenly distributed across all ethnicities, opportunity not so much. It is logical to take scouting operations beyond traditional hub centres next, in order to make Nepal lasting powerhouse in world.
