Rohit hasn't been performing for a while. He can't be an obvious choice if he is fit to play everyone should have the same criteria to get selected. Kohli is still performing, so he becomes available, but Rohit? He may need to work on the numbers too like how he did with diet.

I am not saying Rohit is bad, but if someone is playing even better than him then what is the hesitation to swap....

There are too many good openers on the line, really a tough decision to leave someone like Jaiswal.

Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi has been officially reprimanded and handed one demerit point for a Level 1 breach of the ICC Code of Conduct during the third ODI against India on Saturday, June 20, in Chennai.

Shahidi was found to be in breach of Article 2.10.10 which relates to a "batter causing deliberate or avoidable damage to the pitch." It was his first offence in a 24-month period.

Here I have to agree because the age factor is a concern here with Yashasvi Jaiswal is just 24 years old and he can wait till ODI World Cup for his permanent spot in ODI squad, currently Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are doing good job with Gill is also have better performance with his blue eyes.
