New captain for the Zimbabwe team in one day format, Richard Ngarava.  His bowling is so massive and he is a great fast bowler, just because his height is about 6 feet 6 inches, helping him to produce extra bounce and dominate the games in an excellent manner. He has played 55 or maybe more matches and got up to 70 plus wickets.

Let's see how he will lead the team in this series. If we look on the other side, Bangladesh's captain is Mehidy Hasan Miraz who has done a great job so far. He led the team in their last four consecutive ODI wins.

In my opinion, Nahid Rana of Bangladesh team is not behind Richard Ngarava and he is in great form at the moment and he has bowled well in the last few ODI series. Besides, Bangladesh team has world class bowlers like Mustafizur Rahman so he will be able to put pressure on Zimbabwe batsmen.

1. It'll ruin the format, i might fancy this option (40 overs) if they bring back one ball per inning rule, instead of 2 so that we can see some reverse swing.

3. Trilateral and quadrilateral series will be more fun in white ball cricket for sure.
4. Depends on ECB, CA's mood, Indian subcontinent/Asia already doing since ages.

I do not want to see the ODI length shortened or divided into 25-over per innings, as Sachin once suggested. They can create a separate format and test it out, and let the market decide which one to continue. We already have T20 formats and stick with those rather than changing the entire format of ODI.

We already had Champions League Twenty20, where top teams from the Indian Premier League (IPL), Australia's Big Bash League, South Africa's Ram Slam T20 and other leagues top teams came together. It was scrapped because of low viewership and player conflicts as almost all of the players were in the other leagues as well and the players were given the option to choose their teams, they always chose to represent their IPL teams, which weakened the other teams. It will be interesting to see how they will tackle these issues when creating a World Club T20 championships for franchises.

The Zimbabwe and Bangladesh match is going on. Zimbabwe struggled their way to reach 141 runs, and I was expecting it to be an easy chase for Bangladesh. However, they have lost wickets and are struggling as well, they are currently 89 runs for the loss of 6 wickets and still need 53 runs to win the match. I was also thinking same like you, but the 9th wicket partnership was too good for Zimbabwe. Still, the target wasn't anything big. Bangladesh should have won the match easily with their experienced batting line-up. But Bangladesh has proven everyone wrong with their pathetic batting performance. I won't be surprised if Bangladesh loses the ODI series too with this type of performances.

Actually, if Bangladesh's performance was bad for the big teams, it would have been easy to accept, but Bangladesh is not able to compete with any team. Think about today, chasing a target of just 141 runs, they were all out for just 116 runs with irresponsible batting. Was it very difficult to score 141 runs in an ODI match? Or look at the performance of the Test matches where they lost by an innings.

It would be foolish to expect anything better from Bangladesh. They won the Test match against Zimbabwe by a big margin a few days ago. From what I have seen, this team is not capable of performing well anywhere except in their home series.

Bangladesh is struggling against pace bowling and fast pitches, and even with a really low total to chase, they failed miserably. I am certain that many have lost their bets placing money lines for Bangladesh to win. The way in which Bangladesh approached that total was foolish. All they needed to do was to rotate the strike, rather than going for extravagant shots. This was one of the most surprising results in ODIs in recent memory.

Just 2 months from hero to zero, things are now completely out of the way for Bangladesh because in May they defeated Pakistan, then had good results against mighty Australia, but now they are playing like crap against minor team Zimbabwe. They are the worst right now.

Their bowling is doing a good job, but batting is lower than average. They are not able to touch the 200 figure in tests and now fail to chase 141 runs. I have no words to talk about them because this performance is surely not acceptable at this level. Naheed Rana did an amazing job, but the rest of the team brought themselves down with the worst batting skills and a shameful performance.

Zimbabwe won the match by 25 runs .Bangladesh International team could not chase this target and they could make only 116 runs  and  they lost all wickets in this match but they could not chase this target. The target was not impossible but they could not chase that due to their bad strategy. Nyamhuri was top scorer of this match  and he made 33 runs in 51 balls and he was awarded as player of the match due to great effort in both side batting blowing and Ngarava  also played well. In this matvh both team side no player made half century  and Hasan was top scorer from Bangladesh team  side and he made 31 and no player from Bangladesh team played match winning inning.
