I seriously don't buy this argument that he was deliberately ignored. During the last t-20 wc, everything was about bringing youngsters and transition phase so don't know if anyone considered 34-35 yo bowler in the setup.

Also, wc was in subcontinent so you can't fill your 15 men squad with 4-5 seamers when you have plenty of spin allrounder+ hardik. Considering all the things, doesn't make sense selecting more seamers.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was better than the rest of the Indian bowlers in terms of wickets, economy, strike rate, and average in the entire tournament. Plus, the IPL was in India, and so was the World Cup.

The best players in every team are involved in the IPL. When you are playing the IPL on Indian soil and the scheduled World Cup is played in the same setup, it is common logic to involve a player who outperformed everyone else. It is no secret that T20 is a cruel format for bowlers. If someone performed better than everyone else around the world in the bowling department, he should be in the national team, that is all I am saying.

3 seamer attacks don't work here but at least they should have kept him as a backup player and when Bumrah isn't playing, then he should be playing instead of newbies who are making this worse in this WI series. The format, rules and even playing conditions are favoring the batters but I still believe that one strike bowler can change the result completely and that is what we witnessed when we had Bumrah in the attack but with his absence, we struggled to defend 250.

Bangladesh is a level team as their batting is not effective and they have no good player in the team . In the past they have big name but now they lack good players . Zimbabwe team is an average as we are looking at team for many years. Brendan Taylor is in the team of Zimbabwe but he is not looking powerful as he was in his young age as he was a quality player in his peak .That is not bilateral series because 3 teams are involved in this series and there will be 4 matches and all teams will play 2 matches and there are chances of Bangladesh team to give tough Tim to Zimbabwe and Afghanistan. Afghanistan has good confidence but their team have to play with responsibility which is important in the ODI format.

Meanwhile we have another interesting tri series schedule among English, Pakistan and Sirilankan back in green shirt backyard and  definitely home conditions and crowd support could be a real edge for Pak and surely be a ideal moments to seek their recent defeats revenge from English.

It is simple if you take only recent performance into account, meaning IPL form right before a T20 World Cup selection. Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will share the new ball, and Arshdeep Singh will be the first change bowler. Since you asked who I would replace, it is obvious Mohammed Siraj sits out. Bhuvneshwar Kumar finally gets his inclusion in the final T20 match against the West Indies because Arshdeep is injured. If I were a selector, these decisions would be based purely on performance in a similar tournament on similar pitches and nothing else.

When it comes to Sanju Samson, we already discussed about this, he was initially dropped because of his poor form in the New Zealand series. He was forced back into the World Cup squad simply because the top order was struggling—majority being left handed batsmen who were vulnerable against off-spin. They needed a right hander, and his inclusion was fully justified when he performed in crucial knockout matches and won us the World Cup.

So what is there to argue in this instance? If his inclusion had been an utter flop, we could discuss it. But since his individual performance is a massive reason India are the World champions, it makes no sense that we are still debating his place.

I wasn't talking about 15 men squad but playing XI and you cant afford to have 3 specialist seamers along with pandaya in the playing XI.

You were so insisting on current form, at one point i thought Bhuvi might have been bowling at God mode level so i checked 2024 IPL highest wicket taker and found out that he was not even in the top 25 bowler list, in terms of wickets and for 2025 season he was in top 10 behind the likes of krishna, Arshdeep, Bumrah and pandaya ( speaking of seamers only).

We cannot determine who will win first because with the help of predictions we will feel true to ourselves till we see these games when the pace of the match and its trend changes then we will gradually get less than our prediction. There are three teams here, Bangladesh Afghanistan and Zimbabwe team I do not see any strong team here, all are identified as teams of the same category. In the current situation, Zimbabwe team has proved its strength by winning this match today where Bangladesh team failed to score half the runs, so I have never seen Bangladesh perform well in this difficult situation.
