As to when, nobody knows exactly. But the possibilities are infinite. It could also go down to $3,000. First of all, your topic title sounds like a bad feeling about Bitcoin future, while you actually believe in Bitcoin. You need better translation tool.
Second, what you claim you've done is plain stupid. The main rule is to only invest what you afford to lose. What if Bitcoin price will stay at under 10000$ for more 5 or 10 years, what will you do then? Maybe you'll sell at a loss just before the actual ATH just because you invested all you had based on a guess?


However, I don't believe you that you did what you claim.

It is actions like this, that makes me angry and sad at the same time. People are taking unnecessary risks because they are greedy and actions like this makes no sense what so ever.    Before 2017, someone did something similar and they bought coins at the ATH price of $18 000, with the hope that it might go up much further... but it is about 2 years later and the price is still not higher than the purchase price.

How long this will last is anyone's guess, but the more important question is, how long before these people are forced to sell at a loss.   Invest what you can afford to lose.

There is contradiction in the thread statement and the content, this level of investing is highly risk but the same has been practiced earlier by few people around the globe. To my knowledge I've read about two persons. One person sold his home and all his belongings and bought more than thirty bitcoin. He left his belongings and lived in a refugee campaign until it reached the targeted price.

Look we all believe in BTC's future. But what is your done is not investment. It is gambling. This forum and cryptocurrency market has full of regret. Some people sold their house, some people sold their car and some of them leave from their jobs. And most of them is not happy now.

You should learn what is investment. Some poeple bought some BTC lately 2017 and it price was about 20K and after 1.5 year, now, we still under this value.

Hope you'll be happy but you are just gambling now. You threw your dice and waiting for good results.

Buying bitcoin just because you read a speculation against bitcoin price is not good IMO. There are still several factor that you must pay attention because I'll doubt you will hold for long time if bitcoin price meet decreasing price a lot.

You have to look another factor instead the speculation price. Also you have to train your patience in order to not supprised when bitcoin price goes down. Fundamentally, I'll agree bitcoin price will be up in 2020 because there is several agenda such as halving even that has been waiting from several investor. But, I have to learn more to you to take bold steps as you did.

You have done all this and now you are happy? I wonder how your wife let you do that unless you fed her with some good quality drugs.

But seriously, I wont advice you to do that because although I like the enthusiasm, every investment should be having its limit. One should not put all their life savings into something that they are speculating on. Like the wiser people say, never gamble more than 10% of your bankroll the same applies here. Real estate is something that people live in and thus unless you have a separate home to live in I would not suggest selling it for a truckload of cash for bitcoin.

I don't know whether or not I would be proud of what you did because you bought Bitcoin but you sold a necessity, which is your living quarters. Let's see if you are correct when it reaches $20K.

The future is not clear with everything but when you have a vision in mind in what you want to have in the long run, maybe then you could achieve it. That's when we are talking about people and their goals towards what they want in their lives. So into Bitcoin, that's even more challenging because there is a lot of bad press surrounding it. Some people are not getting any younger and they are scared of what they are doing if they want to be part of Bitcoin or not. FOMO sets in, increased price rates or something then it falls, the never-ending cycle. The differences between the wants and opinions of people are directly proportional to the volatility of the price. That's why the future is even more unclear.

I would say that OP is risking with this move, but also that his timing is bad - just few months ago he can get 10 BTC for $40 000. This is his first mistake, and second is in gambling with what we should not gamble with (house, land...).

This is not first public case that someone is doing that, and jossiel is mention Didi Taihuttu who is doing the same thing as OP, and today he and his family are known as Bitcoin Family, they travel around the world and live only from cryptocurrency.

They risk with this move, but it paid off for them, so maybe OP will be lucky and in few years buy a new house, more land...
