Investing in cryptocurrency crowdsales IEO/ICO these days is very high risk. I prefer buying projects that are already established within the cryprocurrency marketspace. That significantly reduces the associated risk than investing in an IEO. If the project has VC investments, I may be willing to invest though.

Yes, you are right. As the days go by we can see the bad effect of IEOs. Every exchange not only old exchange even the newly launched exchange also trying to launch IEOs. And I think it will not so far when people will be lost the trust in the IEOs .

Every investments have risk. And larger the risk you want to accept, larger could be the potential profit.
As of IEO, binance's success with it's launchpad made every exchange to include similar schemes. Definitely binance was not the first to introduce it. Before binance took the strategy to study and list promising project as IEO, IEO was not as popular. So, it's binance research and their selection that increased interest in IEOs. Not every Exchanges are same as are IEO. So, we should consider both the issuing exchange and the project itself before deciding to jump into an IEO.

It is a jackpot, because not everyone will be successful to get a jackpot out of the investment. Earlier ico was much praised but later more and more scams were rooted out of the same. Now IEO has hit the market but this time everything is distributed through the exchange and the listing for trading happens within few weeks. This makes the process simple and one can get rid of loss if the project isn't progressive by the early days after investing.

But ask yourself first do we axctually need to take 50/50 risk on our capital? For me it looks better to invest on the coins rather than expecting huge profits from the new projects.

Not completely true.
IEO platforms are as different as exchnages, like Latoken is complete garbage - they are wash trading and faking IEO rised amount.
But Binance is legit and their IEOs also are true and legit.

I sure every investors should be aware of this by now, And it is not just with IEOs, ICO or STOs but every cryptocurrency investment is attached with this same risk, even Bitcoin investment.

Why so surprised?

People are way too dumb if they don't see this possible risk without even thinking that projects being introduced are actually the same with projects that had ICO's.
It might be different on how they do make a sale but overall they are just the same.People are just being dragged on the hype.
