If you have ane problem like a error withdraw or deposit in exchange. Don't tell it in there telegram group. Just pm their admin or send support email. If there have live chat, you can go live chat. Yesterday i got problem while withdraw my tokens in exchange then i ask in telegram group. Their admin tell me in telegram group to pm me but, i didn't pm he. After few minutes, fake admin pm me and said want to help me. He ask my email in exchange account and i give it. He said there have problem and i must send bitcoin. So, i check their telegram profile and in the bottom not have Group in common. Then i block and report him.
So guys, if you have same problem like me. Don't tell to anyone except their Admin.

This has become a common problem in telegram group. That's why you would notice in the pinned message, "Admin will never PM you first" You did the right, these lifeless scammers are so cunning. Every day they are searching for any scope to hack or scam some amount from user.ICO group is basically their targeted area I think.

This is normal on social media mainly on telegram. Everyone should care of themselves. You just need to stay alert. Remember following things:
Project owners or admins never PM anyone first. Not even send email to anyone. Mostly scammers don't join official group of project because they know they will be kick out. Must check if anyone pretending to be admin is in official group or not. Must check Pinned post in social media Like in telegram most of project Pin their details including Admin profile. Never share wallet details or personal details. Always try to contact using website Like live chat or contact email. If have any issue then try to ask in group only.

At this point, there's so much scam attempts going on in Telegram that I'd suggest every person that's new to the cryptocurrency space to simply not join Telegram groups at all, even the actual legitimate ones. It's simply just a huge scammers haven.

It's fine to post a problem in a group. Sometimes others will able to help even no need for admin's response just in case it's not internal stuff and can categorize as a general problem.
It's just that always used common sense along the way. Yes, the majority will not check into users profile that will disguise as the admin but as soon as the conversation goes and noticed some unusual, people should realize that something's not right is going on.
Scammers will do anything to make a scam attempt even via obvious method since they know that at even less percentage, they can fall someone on their trap. Always be cautious.
And the more important thing, at most of the cases, TELEGRAM GROUP ADMINS WILL NEVER MESSAGE YOU UNTIL YOU SEEK ASSISTANCE FROM THEM VIA DM.

So, the best thing to do is e-mail the support of particular exchange if you have any trouble with their platform, telegram is and will never be the best to do that. It's so easy to create a telegram account, copy the original admin account information and boom, impostors are everywhere.
It's also easy to identify some impostors, for example, you posted on their public group chat and once their are some person PMed you first, then you should start suspecting about the person who PMed you. Some admins are don't making the first move to PM you, you should be the first to PM the admin. Once again, telegram is not the best way to do it.

Right, most problem concerns should be done on their live support or through email. Telegram channels and accounts are easy to copy so beware for those impostors that will try to offer you their help but they have hidden agenda and that is to scam you.
They might ask you for a certain amount of money and will be gone within split seconds once you are done. Be careful also in emails, you should always check the domain if its the right one. It's easy to check if its an impostors email.

It's not necessarily discouraged to ask in Telegram groups if you have problems and need advice. If you are aware about the scammer problem on Telegram it's easy to avoid getting scammed. Don't trust any user PMing you after you asked for advice in Telegram. In addition, you can go to the settings and disable PMs from other users, so you won't get PMed by scammers. Only take advice from official admins in the official group (admins have an "admin" tag next to all of their messages in the group). Of course you need to be in the original group, if it's a scam group the admins there are also scammers. But I agree that it's better for Newbies to use the official mail for contacting the support instead of Telegram.

Project owners or admins never PM anyone first.
It is not completely true. Sometimes developers will do it, when someone in their communities posting shit, or wrong information. Nevertheless I agree that most of project owners, developers neither do this nor go first. Sometimes, I posted incorrect information, the owners send me PMs ask for corrections. It's normal if they just ask you to correct what you posted. The case will become more suspicious if they ask for your private keys, remote control on your computers, and more private things. Don't give any of those things to anyone, even accounts that likely projects ' owners/ developers (because in such cases, they most likely scammers).

It's common sense, you can share your problem in telegram group and ask guidance to the admin but first never share details about on your account. I know, once you are asking help on the telegram group there are scammers waiting for you and sending you a message pretending to help. Be vigilant, PM first to the admin and don't reply with someone else pretending admin. Mostly in a telegram group, there's a warning there on the pinned message and the user's name of all admins.
I'm a community admin on telegram before when it comes to a technical problem, admin won't help you because their task is to manage a community only. However, they can advise you on what exactly what you doing and assist you with your problem. The best thing is direct to the e-mail support of the website which you had trouble might a great option to fix the problem.

When there is money problem, there will be some attempt to try to achieve it. What I called is human greed especially when the situation is safe and become the advantage for them.
But why you're share on telegrams's group except they all are your friend !?

Its never a bad thing to share or ask for a help on telegram. If you have any difficult concerning withdrawing, you ask on the platform you want to do the withdrawing from. The admin will tell you how to go about it or still yet you can ask you to pm him. Some admins you can pm them just like that without notifying them openly

Yeah, let's stop chatting because somebody might start talking with us and he will try to scams us. You can safely ask for any of your problems, the risks start when you're sharing private details when you give strangers access to your accounts, keys, etc etc. It is risky to ask a stranger in a station what time is it? No. It is risky to drink after with that stranger in a shady bar in an unknown town till you fall in a ditch? Yes! After few minutes, fake admin pm me and said want to help me. He ask my email in exchange account and i give it. He said there have problem and i must send bitcoin. So, i check their telegram profile and in the bottom not have Group in common. Then i block and report him.
So the possible problem was not you seeking help. The problem was you arriving at a stage where you almost trusted a stranger with your coins. The topic should be more like..."Check twice to who you're speaking in telegram".

In my case, I will contact them through email. Messenger platforms are very risky because of multiple people might send you a message and will try to scam you. Sending an email when there's an error is the best way to approach them than sending a concern thru telegram. People around you will try to take advantage of you since you lack the knowledge of having a transaction.

It is fine to ask your questions in telegram. Just be aware that asking questions about finance will definitely get hold the attention of scammers who basically lurk around these groups for potential victims. Just use basic common sense and make sure you know who is talking to you. If you ever in doubt just ask. That is probably the best advice you can get as far as finding out for sure. There is also no reason for them to be asking for a bitcoin deposit. That almost makes me laugh. What possible excuse did the scammer come up with to convince anyone to do that?

Anytime you share your problem in a telegram group, you make yourself available for scammers. It is better you ask in the group of u can pm the admi then you share your problem in private rather than publicly.
