What a GREAT achievement in such a young age. these students showed that block-chain can be used in different fields not just in crypto-currency.
also if they were able to use blockchain to bust and prevent counterfeit drugs surely the technology(Block-chain) can also be used on any government voting
system to bust and prevent cheating.

The question is, would it be applied? Lots of debates would happen first before this bill would be passed up where changing up the whole voting system.

On topic,congrats to these young minds who do integrate blockchain technology for this purpose.This is indeed helpful for humanity where spotting out fake medicines that my cost our lives or put in danger.

A good way to counter some arguments of misinformed people that blockchain is used for paying illegal drugs or criminialities only while it is actually just a system. while infact here blockchain could be used to prevent counterfeited drugs. I'm also looking forward for some of people to create and implement governances voting based on blockchain which invulnerable against hackers.

One of the big reasons why counterfeit drugs proliferate in the market is because genuine drugs put so much profits into their margin and just thinking how much they can get from the people who need the products they are marketing. Sad but true. I hope there can be a project too that will stop this great injustice without resorting to the fake ones.

This is very interesting that at a very young age they were able to adopt or come up with the idea even though blockchain tech is just beginning to academically seep its way into the country.

Would love to get more into the details of the project like:

1. how they developed it alongside the pharma industry?
2. from what platform the blockchain tech was based on or did they come up with their own?
3. final output/further development of their project, proprietary or open-source?
4. the major proponent/s are/is, student/s, the prof or team effort?

The main goal is to integrate blockchain-based technology in the Pharmaceutical system to bust and prevent all the counterfiet drugs. It was amazing that these young minds think of a good way on how to stop the spreading of fake medicines. There are so many counterfeit drugs that are still proliferating and widespread in different pharmacy outlets.

It is a good initiative as counterfeit products are rampant in third world countries and especially if you are taking fake medicines it will cause adverse health issues and it is criminal to play with other peoples life to earn more money and if that can be crushed by these innovation then it is well and good and all the third world countries have to take initiative on this route to crush the counterfeit market.
